ok, get the binbags ready.
Tis a nice watch http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6380949/crysis-3-e3-2012-stage-demo
Crysis 3 DX11 demonstration got leaked: http://www.vgleaks.com/e3-2012-cryengine3-and-crysis-3-dx11-demonstration-leak-out/
Main points Pixel Accurate Displacement Mapping Area Lights Vegetation and Cloth Physics Real-time reflections or RLR Volumetric Fog and Cloud Shadows Composite 3d Lens Flares and Flares Editor GI + Glossy Reflections Multi Layered Navigation Mesh

That's not how open gameplay is supposed to work... This is like giving us 3 doors to go through that all lead to the same place. Crysis 1 gave us a playground with an exit door somewhere.
All paths in Crysis 1 still lead to the mission objective, apart from the optional side objectives you can't simply ignore a mission and keep playing. The maps are open, but still linear.
good, i think this pretty much confirms DX11 will be with the initial product and we wont have to wait 3 months again
Actually it was promised even before E3 that DX11 will be included in initial release.
Actually it was promised even before E3 that DX11 will be included in initial release.
oh. give me clocks then. anyway i have started to replay crysis 2 again and apparently punching/kicking/destroying those wooden benches disables crossfire and shuts down my PC

Goddamn. That looks sharp.
Too bad, Crytek moves into F2P model for their future games. They have very talented people.
At least the Cell Members won't be wearing pure white clothes which you can see from miles. Fighting them on delta is probably going to be a hunt.
their camo actually works well in those pics
Think a GTX 670 will run this maxed? 1680 x 1050. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] It's the card I'm considering buying.
most likely
Interactive Video up, I'm assuming you need Annotations enabled. [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2LX8bEmhDc[/hd] [editline]26th July 2012[/editline] If the same person played both the Stealth and Run-Gun parts, hes better at the stealth.
I'm sure I'm probably late mentioning this, but I'm not particularly fond of Psycho's new voice :/
The AI still hasn't been improved much from the previous one. But it's a Pre-Alpha video, so I guess I'll have to leave my final judgement later. Seeing the gameplay, I can say that my guesses a while ago were 50-75% correct. Except that you can only approach the first enemy group from a single path.
Psycho has a new voice actor?
I think the Video is PC footage played with a 360 Controller considering the video is 1080, and the HUD size, the HUD is bigger on the 360 Version, well it was in Crysis 2. They may have shrunk it for Crysis 3.
at least the player char talks again
I'm sure I'm probably late mentioning this, but I'm not particularly fond of Psycho's new voice :/
psycho was perfect in warhead, should have kept that voice
Fucking bullshit, Crytek may be horrible at casting voice actors, but psycho's voice actor was fucking excellent. Bravo Crytek, continue to get rid of good things. Also any info the multiplayer at all yet? If it's small and CoD like again that would just be a joke. I hope they at least give us vehicles.
It's somehow sad that we can't get to do something like this in Cry2 and possibly Cry3 as well. He played Crysis as if It was scripted..

Hes posted here a few times. He goes under the user name 'Gunsmith', he has 2 runs of Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and one run of Crysis 2 all Ironman (No deaths, highest difficulty) runs. I need to finish watching his Crysis 1 run.
P sure psycho has the same va, just sounds older [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] His voice is still fucking amazing so get off the crysis 1 horse already [editline]28th July 2012[/editline]
It's somehow sad that we can't get to do something like this in Cry2 and possibly Cry3 as well. He makes the game look good but when you actually plqy it, you notice the clunky gameplay.
He sounds like he has a lump in his throat And fuck, watching that guys videos again is making me want to reinstall Crysis and Warhead

Hopefully the campaign has a sort of free roam as like in the first Crysis, Crysis 2 was way more into a straight-forward campaign and you didn't have as much options, it was way more run and gun. [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] And Crysis 2 had a pretty short campaign for not having too good of a multiplayer, it was decent but it's not something I can keep playing.
Crysis 1 was so fun until it got to the alien part. Then it all went downhill from there unfortunately. Crysis 2 was ok, but everything was so god damn restrictive (and the suits energy gets drained way faster by doing anything) it almost went against what the first game was all about. Crysis 1 didn't have a good story, but it made up for it with the gameplay experience largely being controlled by how the player chooses to go about things, but then Crysis 2 tries to focus on the story instead and ends up being one large cheesy b-movie type story and the game suffered because of it.

But in the Wiki, I read somewhere that the Nanosuit 2 can hold up 20% more nanofibers.. I wonder why. Found it:
and the new gold-cobalt oxide lattice increases fuel cell capacity of the Nanosuit 2 by 20%, which allows the wearer to stay in cloak mode longer and withstand more damage, while also giving the suit a 32% increase in strength and speed, allowing dramatically increased physical performance while consuming less energy than the N1
Also, the N2 has a defibrillator, but can't use while playing. What a shame.
