The game's intro is on youtube if anyone wants to see it. Spoilers of course but if you're like me and simply can't wait:
That whole thing about the [sp]alpha Ceph[/sp] seems a bit clichéd but other than that, that was pretty good. Especially that music. [editline]17th February 2013[/editline] Shame how he didn't seem to mention Alcatraz at all as well.
he alluded to it though, when he mentioned he gave up his skin
Yeah, Alcatraz was just a spare part he used to replace his body. Fuck you Prophet. And what's with the Alpha Ceph? This is the first time we hear about him and he says it like we should know.
The Alpha Ceph are the ones from the first game.
After playing through Crysis 1 again, how can anyone think that the nanosuit in Crysis 1 felt more like a super suit than in C2? Honestly, it felt like I was in a normal suit of armor with regenerating health, that happened to let me run fast, jump high, and cloak. Now that I've played through both again, Crytek made a smart decision to simplify the suit in C2.

The C1 suit was a lot more nimble and you had more options on what you could do. The C2 suit feels slow and fat, and armor mode is pretty OP.
While I agree on the suit being slow, simplifying the suit so the maximum strength features could be used by holding a button was a very smart choice. I never thought armor mode was OP. It's doing exactly what it should do. Armor mode in C1 is pretty much Power mode in C2. When I think armor, I think protection.
In crysis 3 the sub-suiperhuman sprint speed and superhuman jump doesn't draw from energy anymore, at least. Same with nanonanonanonanovision. Doesn't spam nanonanonanonano anymore either. [editline]18th February 2013[/editline] Still, I kinda miss turning red and punching everything to bits...
Don't suppose anyone knows where to get this the cheapest in the UK?
Just wonder how many of these comments are overused graphics jokes
Armor mode in C2 pretty much broke combat. Hell, you could even sprint longer with armor mode ENABLED than without armor mode one with some certain suit modifications.
Armor mode in C2 pretty much broke combat. Hell, you could even sprint longer with armor mode ENABLED than without armor mode one with some certain suit modifications.
Actually I think that was with stealth enabled
Both, actually. [editline]18th February 2013[/editline] Which kind of defeats the whole point of letting you stay out of suit modes. C3 does it properly, with no suit mode selected acting like speed and strength from C1.
I still wish 'maximum power' was said when switch back. they use it in the trailer and in the C2 iintro, but never in-game?

Origin says the game unlocks in an hour. Didn't realize they were already doing a pre-load.

There's probably going to be a day one patch because the fix for the aim down sights sensitivity didn't carry over to the full game.
I've read that [sp]the singleplayer is supposed to be only 5-6 hours long, I hope it's not true, because I had around 12 hours of fun in Crysis 2.[/sp]
PC Gamer said they finished in about [sp]9 hours[/sp]

no one's been playing it yet?
no one's been playing it yet?
Just started, enjoying it a lot. Visuals are gobsmackingly gorgeous (as expected) and the levels feel more open than Crysis 2. Only just reached the first outdoor area though.
if you unlock with vpn can you still play mp?

One of the better things about Crysis 3 is that their trailers didn't spoil pretty much every part of the game. I remember in Crysis 2 they revealed pretty much every single 'big' moment except for the central park rising part.
Loving this so far, the most annoying part is I still get the crash from the beta that I can only fix by re-installing my graphics drivers.
time to download 314.07 2700k & 670 get very low fps on max settings with txaa
