I'm not sure about the game though. It's not bad, but for some reason I can't keep playing it for longer than an hour at a time. So far I liked Crysis 2 better than this one.
Sure it's not the FOV that does it?
I know this is the wrong thread, but can anyone recommend me a pc that can run this on maximum (barring a few settings, AA, motion blur, cpu heavy stuff, etc.) in the 1k-1.5k (USD) range is that even possible?
Or can someone point me to a thread that helps me with stuff like this? I've never been a hardware guy.

You could make a PC to run it at those setting for much less than 1.5k.

damn the game runs bad. i still think crysis 1 looks a lot better, it's a lot more crisp and still has a shitload of neat effects. pretty disappointed i can max out crysis 1 and crysis 3 chugs along on very high at like 15-25fps. so i was like fuck that and bought a 7990 eat my shit crysis
Might be your AA setting that is causing the blur.
Crysis was crisp because AA worked on like 5% of the objects in the game.
Fidelity wise, I think Crysis 3 blows the first game out of the water. Crysis 1 has a nice visual style in the clear and "photo-real" environment.

Because he lost his suit? Hasn't it been 23 years or something. He's probably aged, the environment does't probably do good for his health.
I don't see an issue with how Psycho is portrayed.
nah the new voice actor as well as his model sucks, it has none of the charm of the original. he's just so bland now.

Edit: I thought Crysis 1 would come with my digital deluxe pack on origin, I'm going to replay Crysis 1 and see if I agree with you. I really like Psycho's character in Crysis 3 so far, so I guess I'm not seeing what you see.
So far I'm enjoying Crysis 3 but I'm getting tired of fighting the aliens.
Stalking the Cell guys with the bow is way more fun. I really hope that when the editor is released people make some cool maps/missions based around the bow.
I personally find the bow a pain in the ass, having to scrounge through the level to retrieve your arrows. It's fun to use but the aftermath is not. It's easier just to use a suppressed sniper rifle or something.
Using low draw strength is a fun way to go twitch shooting against the aliens though. Which are still more fun to fight than the human enemies.
I'm running the game on low (to get max FPS) and it still looks pretty awesome. Crytek did a great job with the optimization, although I do wish the maps were larger and there was more vehicle action.

i just checked imdb - it says it's the same voice actor
which i don't believe
he sounds completely different
if it really is the same i guess he just changed his accent now
its deffo not Chapman, they tried to get him for C3 but he was unavailable hence they went with someone else.
the change i can live with but his dialogue feels as tho it was written just to be puerile.

Legendary, i landed back in the UK on Friday last week, rig broke whilst I was away and I've only just got it back up and running.
So, how you finding C3?

I've been working at crytek for the past month, I designed and played the gameplay segment of the last 7 wonders episode, also did some bits for the weapons trailer and 90% of launch trailer was me playing.
Charles Denan of EA lost his shit at me kicking an explosive photo copier at someone :D
