I loved the MP for Crysis 2. Probably the most fun FPS multiplayer I've played in years. I'd buy it if it were on steam.
According to the book the Nanosuit 2 is like the most advanced thing in the entire universe ever.
Except the original Nanosuit was much, much better.
I'd like to see a more open environment again like Crysis 1 + Better suit mobility. It'd be really cool to jump from building to building, by grabbing ledges and what not. Giving the ability to approach any situation with 360 degrees of options.
According to the book the Nanosuit 2 is like the most advanced thing in the entire universe ever.
Uh, nah, just the most advanced piece of technology that we know that works somewhat from the pile of crap Hargreave and Rasch have.
Crysis 2 singleplayer was fun and I thought the graphics were stunning. It was too scripted for my tastes though. The multiplayer was okay... but it felt too much like CoD (while amplifying the annoyances such as stealth camping and grenade launcher as a primary weapon) I'm fine with run and gun shooters but fuck at least make it balanced and less frustrating.
im guessing it will be on an updated cryengine 3, im ok with this. although i'm kinda bummed it looks like there will be no nanosuit 3 also, nanobows
Oh god, not this shit again...
Also one thing that irritated me to no end was was in multiplayer the grenade launchers lobbed the grenades. They didn't go in a straight line, instead they flipped around and twisted in the air.
Except the original Nanosuit was much, much better.
Not really - compare the armour of the two: it could take far more punishment than the first one, you don't have to switch modes to GO FAST or to use strength. And then there's the power supply which regenerated in about 5 seconds.

Crysis 2 was pretty damn stupid in that manner.
goddammit i want to have ultra super mega graphics in a lush tropical jungle like 1 ! theres still hope that its actually in and not generic_grey_city_1023098 [editline]11th April 2012[/editline]
[sp]Prophet is still a distinct entity: you see him at the end of the game and he is the one giving you objectives (you never noticed his voice?). There's plenty of brain-space in the suit for both of them, Alcatraz's conciousness exists primarily in the suit anyway.[/sp]
does this really matter in crysis 1 my main objective was to crush a building whilst there were still dudes in it and in crysis 2 was to backflip a car into a robo-alien
Wait, I played through Crysis 2 and genuinely don't remember anything about the end or Prophet existing in the suit. I just remember him killing himself. Also how do we know all this stuff about alcatraz?

I just want the smoothness of the game play from 2, (admit it, switching suit powers was a snap and the weapon modification menu was near perfect, as well as a lot of the gameplay mechanics) with a more open environment from 1, but without 70% of it being pointless areas. And of course, a great story and cast of characters.
I really wish these companies would start making new IPs.. I'm really sick of all of the sequels
I really wish these companies would start making new IPs.. I'm really sick of all of the sequels
Crysis was a trilogy back all the way in 2007, this is the end of it.
i wonder how the trilogy will conclude in new york when the end clearly showed the ceph were based all around the world also i really hope the boring, generic bipedal ceph will not be returning in the same way they were before. they were just boring to fight all around. the aliens in crysis 1 were annoying but at least they were somewhat more entertaining. those bipedal ceph that ran at you with the arm blades though were kind of fun to fight

I just want them to bring back the Power Struggle multiplayer mode from Crysis 1.
take place in a heavily destroyed New York which has become "almost a jungle", thus combining the settings of the first and second games.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/343460/crysis-3-takes-place-in-a-heavily-destroyed-new-york-first-details/
Haha I still have this pie chart from back when I used to play the multiplayer for a bit. Pretty much sums up my whole experience with the games MP. I'm curious to see how they unfuck the multiplayer. They really need to reintroduce the power struggle mode, though I wouldn't mind if they downsized it a bit. It felt a bit like a driving simulator in Crysis 1, as I found myself frequently driving pickup trucks just to get to any sort of firefight.

Trees don't grow very fast. Unless the they're going to pull deus ex machina and say the alien technology made everything grow at a high rate.
I liked that they streamlined the powers in 2, but they streamlined them too much. I don't want my sprinting to drain my energy if I'm not running at lightning speed like I could crysis 1. And they made weapon attachments stupid. I don't care if the sniper scope is useless on a shotgun, I want to be able to do it. Also nanovision draining suit power was a pain in the ass
i'm looking forward to this game! Wheres the crysis comics? I wanted to know what happened from the people in C1

Well, I hope they keep the N2, since they can change it pretty freely due to the [sp]"growing and changing and pretty much just alien tech with translated UI on it"[/sp] thing
To me it makes sense that its going to be in an urban jungle... It means that all the resources that were used to make crysis 1 and crysis 2 can be used again which maintains efficiency and productivity, saving the developers from having to learn/create new things etc. Futhermore the jungle component allows Crysis 3 to go back to its roots. Sure there will be roads, and buildings and sky-scrapers, but i'm thinking that the jungle will bring back some of the diversity and open-worldness that Crysis 1 had. But damn please be more like Crysis 1, there were so many good things about it. The weapon inertia, the way Nomad physically bent down and picked up ammo. However its still missing one thing every fps game needs.. The euphoria engine :D

The only thing I'd change in crysis wars would be having multiple good guns instead of the SCAR dominating. Also some maps such as mesa were too big but the smaller ones like plantation are perfect.
