Fun fact, It turns out cracked copies of the game have a bug with the [sp]Alpha Seph[/sp] where certain triggers wont register, making it impossible to kill.
[sp]I think that Prophet is different, because his symbiotic bind with the suit was fucking insane. If they tried to remove the suit right now, they'd probably get some near-liquified corpse of Alcatraz.[/sp] Speaking of which, what the fuck even happened to Alcatraz? I'm assuming that he just died and Prophet took over.
I haven't read the novel but I did get this from a guy who has, and I think it makes sense. [sp]"And this is where I must re-intervene (ignore if you've already read some of my theories; more of the same here): Alcatraz and Prophet HAVE NOT merged personalities. Prophet knew the nanosuits were symbiotic. He didn't know they were evolving, especially considering he stole (or at least received, and went rogue) the updated, upgraded nanosuit 2.0. Besides his sudden knowledge (which I believe was the first sign of the suits evolving) of Ceph technology/weaponry, this is about all Prophet knew. The ONLY reason Prophet gave Alcatraz the suit was because he himself was dying due to the Manhattan virus, and due to the undersuit he was wearing (which you find his body in during the first level of C2.) the suit wasn't attaching itself to him (think venom attaching itself to spiderman) and growing into his wounds and effectively "healing" him. This point is proved by the fact that Prophet could remove his nanosuit (twice. Once when he receives/steals the nanosuit 2 as well as when he removes it to give it to Alcatraz) while the suit rejected removal when Hargreave EMPS and captures him to get the suit for himself because it actually grew into his wounds. Though I admit I can see how you guys came up with that theory. I mean it is logical. As I've said almost a thousand times now, Prophet exists purely in Alcatraz' mind. Prophet IS NOT the nanosuit 2. Prophet =/= Nanosuit. And for those of you who think the voice ("cloak engaged", "nanovision enabled", etc) is Prophet/nanosuit talking. I've got two theories here. 1) Its there for gameplay purposes. 2) It IS Prophet, but it's Alcatraz hearing it in his thoughts/mind. 2 proves the whole "Prophet exists in Alcatraz' mind" thing. Now, if Alcatraz and Prophet merged personalities they/it wouldn't call itself Prophet. (I think Kami-Piccolo DBZ for this). Though with the info involving Prophet trying to figure out what he is now ("Everything you need to know about Crysis 3" thread) I must admit this MIGHT be true to a certain point. And just because I don't feel like typing even more, I'll end with this: Prophet hasn't taken over either. If you need some proof, or want to know how he hasn't just ask."[/sp] Plus there is a built in voice synthesizer, and after the beginning of Crysis 2, Alcatraz lost his vocal cords, so he uses the suit which still has Prophets voice to talk.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nomad's the one who has N2.2
Nanosuit 2.2? What?
Nomad alive? Huh? in the comics he died. i'd love to see a 4nd game.

Is there a reason why you have 2 copies of 3?
Is there a reason why you have 2 copies of 3?
The one on the top is the MP alpha.
I haven't bought the game yet, but the multiplayer looks fun and I kind of enjoyed the beta. Are there enough players in the MP that I could put a few hours into it? Also, reading RPS's review, the singleplayer story is apparently quite cheesy - do you think there's any truth to that?

The idea that CELL took over the world using the lure of free energy is solid, and the constant struggle between "What is human?" is played pretty well.
Is Crysis 3 really short or something? [sp]I've gotten to the party where Rasch dies on Veteran in about 4-5 hours[/sp]
Is Crysis 3 really short or something? [sp]I've gotten to the party where Rasch dies on Veteran in about 4-5 hours[/sp]
You've got a good 2-3 hours to go I'd say.
You've got a good 2-3 hours to go I'd say.
It's been a ton better than Crysis 2 so far so I'm not complaining but I definitely remember the other games taking longer.
It's been a ton better than Crysis 2 so far so I'm not complaining but I definitely remember the other games taking longer.
It's probably the shortest in the series (save maybe for Warhead), but I didn't explore a whole lot so I could be wrong. Couple of the missions you've got coming up are pretty good size, so take your time with those. I know I will on my second playthrough.
Yea I haven't explored at all, I only have one upgrade for the suit as well which I got in the first mission still.
I'm about 3 hours in and I found about 4 upgrades.
Fun fact, It turns out cracked copies of the game have a bug with the [sp]Alpha Seph[/sp] where certain triggers wont register, making it impossible to kill.
That happened to me on the PS3. Turns out it wasn't bugged and I was just a colossal retard.
That happened to me on the PS3. Turns out it wasn't bugged and I was just a colossal retard.
What we're you doing wrong? Maybe i'm doing the same thing.
I'm about 3 hours in and I found about 4 upgrades.
After about 2 hours i had all the upgrades i wanted and didnt buy any more.
Damn, now reading Legion again
What we're you doing wrong? Maybe i'm doing the same thing.
you're probably on the cracked version, so there's really nothing you can do i was just being an idiot and wasn't shooting at the eyes or the hands or anything iirc there's supposed to be some regular ceph that spawn right before the boss. that doesn't trigger on the cracked version so you can't damage the AC
Basicly the start of Crysis 2 was like the worst breakup ever so the nanosuit became the world's most clingy girlfriend when it got it's fibres on Alcatraz - [sp]last thing it wanted was to loose another host.[/sp]

oh, shit. i have no idea then. maybe try restarting the chapter or something?

I really like how you can see regular Crysis 1 nanosuits in [sp]the skinning lab[/sp] I think the two nanosuits are rad. Crysis 2 nanosuit looks more like a beefy urban-combat one, while the crysis 1 suit is more of a utilitarian suit used in big outdoor areas for days or weeks at a time

In Crysis 2 and 3 you're taking 15 shots per charge easily. You can see the Nanosuit 1.0 in Crysis 2 as well, Hargreave has a couple on display just before his office.

Would be cool if you actually fought people using the different suit types though.
I liked the really silly prototype suits too.
The really beefy one would've been fun: just walk in a straight line directly to your destination, walls can go fuck themselves.
