Are you forgetting that Crytek is EA's bitch?
That is simply not the case, the Crysis Franchise is owned by Crytek, EA is the publisher in this partnership, as well as marketing. EA has no control over the development process of anything Crytek does with the Crysis Franchise. Crysis 2 being what it is, that is Crytek's doing. Crytek has partnership with EA, Ubisoft, and THQ. They can't be EA's bitch.
Am i the only one who's sick of games being set in new york? What's so special about New york? Does times square have a realy cool gameplay element or something? It's farking stoopid i tell ya. With the exception of spiderman games, no game should be set in that city. When i become world prime minister i shall make this law. Now, this post is going to get mostly "dumb"s . But- Fuck New york. Does That city provide a significant boost in sales or something stupid?

And, no fuck you New York itself is an pretty cool place. I mean sure, New York City has been used a tad too much in video games, but this is a bit different, you could have made your opinion a bit more logical.
I love the wild mass guessing that's happening (like with every fucking announcement for everything ever). We know next to NOTHING about the details of the plot, and yet we're already demanding writers be fired, and are saying the game will be shit? Stay classy, facepunch!
So far the only thing people are bashing about Crysis 3 is how linear it will be. First off, Crysis 2 wasn't even that linear compared to most games nowadays. Stop comparing it to the first and compare it to most other modern FPS's and you'll see a great difference in linearity. And to be fair, after playing Crysis 1 for a couple of hours last night, it feels so much more clunky and unpolished than Crysis 2. If Crysis 3 has the solidness of the second with the openness of the first, with a touch of sandbox, I will be a happy person. Of course, this post will get rated dumb because all people want is an exact duplicate of the first game. The second game, on it's own, was a very good game. Let's be real, the gunplay in Crysis 2 was much better, and much cleaner than in Crysis 1. It was also easy to maneuver in Crysis 2 than it was in 1. Most gameplay specific features that was present in both Crysis 1 and 2, was done so much better in Crysis 2 that it was near perfect. So how about we all look past the moderate linearity of the game and look at what makes it a solid shooter. Because personally, I enjoyed playing Crysis 2 much more than I did playing 1.

Just like how everyone was bitching about BF3 because it wasn't a clone of BF2. Anyone who rates your perfectly logical post that contributes to this thread is either stupid, or still butthurt about Crysis 2.
Crysis 2 was a good game, but it wasn't really a Crysis game. Even with the Nanosuit powers and such, I didn't really feel all that much like I was playing the same franchise. As most people are saying, it would be best if they combined the freedom and dynamic destruction of the first with the fluidity of the second in Crysis 3.
We've already seen Crysis 2's plot, same dude's making the C3 plot.
Wow he sure likes skipping shit a lot.
It's not a new york clone because there are trees in it and it's ruined? That's like telling me a honda is not a honda because it has pillows on the seats. Couldn't they have put trees in hong kong or venice or tokyo or some other well known city? I know that Americans aren't generaly good with geography.. but C'mon! Crytek aren't even american!
I know that Americans aren't generaly good with geography.. but C'mon! Crytek aren't even american!
"Hey I'll just insult Americans for no reason whatsoever!"
That's not a reason?

Secondly they chose NY for the settings of Crysis 2 and 3, deal with it! Bitching about isn't going to change it. Thirdly insulting citizens of a country because apparently we all suck at geography? That was pathetic, and false. Most people I know, including myself are rather skilled in geography, it is actually a hobby of mine. Maybe people would respect your opinions if you weren't such a dick about it!
well if you want you can look at it the other way and say that it's a jungle with building ruins in it
but that would make it a pillow with a honda around it.

I love the bow, more games needs bows.
I do not know a single person who still calls people muppets and I've lived here for thirteen years
That's what all americans say also i want co-op :(
2 player co-op in crysis 1 would be amazing.. driving a tank while a mate on top in the MG, i also wonder how in 20 years new york looks like a rainforest, there's a palm tree in my house that's been growing for 10 years and only grew like a meter
Well.. Since you are two people in a suit... Do you gain some serious personality issues? And does the guy that you play as in C2 get absorbed into the suit too? Does his body disappear? Does tissue get replaced with nanite muscles ? (well, what i think it might be on prophet's body) If you entered a nanosuit, then got out. Would the suit gain your conciousness? Would it be like a friend or something? (well, i would be friends with a copy with myself at least. Some people might hate themselves)
No, his body was goofied so that all there is is some goo and nerves. The suit is concious. And reading Crysis Legion, Alcatraz doesn't have dual personality issues. He just refers to himself as Prophet, even though he knows Prophet is the Lawrence whoever who's dead. And he has all of Prophet's memories. Also CryNet hostile again, dammit Rasch, didn't you learn anything from what Alcatraz did to Hargreave?
