I feel sad for all the prejudice that is present here. I want the game since the demo was fun.
This game is a Devil May Cry ripoff despite being developed by Devil May Cry's team.
:psyduck:
My words: A female version of Devil May Cry, but at least the guns are real judging by the posted pics I see two M1911 Colts.
To me, this looks like Sarah Palin in a peacock outfit meets DMC and Dragon Age (Morrigan, shape shifting)
You guys need to quit comparing this game to stuff. I've seen like fifty random variations of "Well the game is basically X flying around with guns on her feet while killing things from Y and doing stuff from Z all while being like ¥"
It's a great game. If you don't like it, heres a protip, no one gives a shit about your opinion.
True dat
The comparisons to Devil May Cry are completely valid. It's by the same creator , it plays pretty much the same and it's got some elements which are copy and pasted over. Ninja Gaiden and God of War, not so much.
Bayonetta is a quality game, even on the "gimped" PS3 version.
You're always going to get morons who can't see past the fact that Bayonetta's a girl, or super-sexualised.
Underneath the suggestiveness of pretty much everything in the game and you have the best DMC-style game since Devil May Cry 3, and maybe better than that.
Being in the same league as DMC3 in this Genre means you're in the Top 5 without a shadow of a doubt.
The game oozes campiness, so people hate on it
Is the PS3 version really that bad? I can deal with load times. But really shifty FPS is not acceptable. I could get it on the 360, I just really hate the 360 controller for anything besides FPS (if PC isn't an option)
The colours are abit washed out, but you can probably rectify that with settings on TV/Game.
I've not noticed terrible frame-rate issues, but I can play anything from 10FPS up quite happily. So if it is choppy, it's not choppy enough for it me to notice massively. I think it averages around 26 fps ingame based on the demo, which is fine.
360 runs at an higher FPS more consistently.
If you hate the 360 pad for a DMC style game, get it on PS3.
Being comfortable with the controller is more important than FPS issues or Graphics.
Yeah, I guess I'll get it in my Triple.
Theres a demo for the game the respective stores anyway. So it might be worth getting the demos and trying them to see what you prefer.
I was having so much fun with this game until I unlocked the fucking beast within mechanic, now whenever I'm trying to dodge I TURN INTO A FUCKING PANTHER.
Fuck this game.
It's basically a half assed rip off of devil may cry, it fucking sucks they must have three people working on the game and the other 57 blowing game reviewers and steam staff for metascore.
It's funny because this proves to me that you didn't even read the OP.
There no sexual reference in this game at all.
woops, wrong thread.

I kind of agree, but it was... mediocre, not terrible. The demo anyway.
But yeah it's pretty much DMC with boobs.

They just call them "handguns", and you only get to use them in one mission.
[sp]Until you beat the game. Unlockable and completely useless![/sp]
The rest of the guns are based on real stuff (the concept artist and modeler who did the weaponry is a gun nut as far as I can tell), just exaggerated to make them easier to see. Scarborough Fair is essentially a set of four oversized Remmington derringers, All 4 One is a weighted Luger, etc.
Inc hentai videos of her
Game is great so far.

What?
Oh wow the comments made by the ignorant people here make the game sound good.
I tried the demo, and after falling in love with Dante's Inferno, I figured I'd like it. I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying I don't really see the appeal. I could go buy the first Devil May Cry for cheaper and probably have the same experience. The character is pretty sexual, which isn't generally a bad thing, but I found it hard to focus on the game with a girl in a skin-tight jumpsuit waves her ass at me every two seconds. I laughed at the whole high-heel gun things, those were funny and fun to use.
That's just my opinion, though. I guess a lot of people really fucking love this game.
got it played it some, pretty fun, chapter 8 so far, quite shocked at the amount of enemy types to be honest, seems every 5minutes there's a new one. Plus enemy cars? :wtc:

could say same about Dante's Inferno personally myself after playing the demo for that. One demo that made me not want a game. It felt way to slow for me.

The demo is a terrible representation of the full game. I didn't feel I was enjoying the game as much as I should have been until the last three boss fights. The difference between those last few levels and everything before that is absolutely phenomenal, but having since beaten the game I've discovered that at least 30% of the game can only be done after beating the game, not including play-throughs with all the unlockable characters. Bayonetta is to say the least, one of the most unique games I've ever played, if not the most unique. Anyone that says you can get the same experience by playing one the DMC games doesn't know what they're talking about.
