I'm never sure whether to get 2 Bracers/Nulls or 1 Bracer/Null or 1 Bracer and 1 Null on Int Heroes :v:
I was doing pretty bad as Lanaya in a game the other day due to the Pudge opposite me at mid being too damned good at harassing, anyway something funny happened when this random Antimage came up behind me when I was on low health. I was just about to hit meld to lose him, and this hook flies out of nowhere and drags Antimage back to the other side of the river.
Naturally, I find this hilarious and say "Thanks for saving me there, Pudge :)" in chat, only for some random guy on my team to start giving me a ton of crap for "talking shit" to the other team when I had a couple more deaths than him (we were all doing fairly terribly anyway).
I just don't get these people sometimes, it's like they have no sense of humour.

I usually get 1 bracer and build that into a drum.
Playing a game as Juggernaut when my dad says he needs to get on to print some important medical files. I ask my team to pause, they say okay, and I let him on. Five minutes later, I get on Steam mobile and ask my friend how it's going. Apparently, I'm not allowed to be afk for a few minutes because the other team is full of impatient pricks.

Part 1. Sounds like your team was just bad.
Part 2. It depends on when, sometimes I get 2 bracers, other times I skip bracers altogether.
If you are playing for example Witch Doctor, and they keep punching you in the face a bracer or two is a good idea, but if its a double melee lane and you are the one punching THEM in the face, you don't really need bracers unless you want a drum.

People have the worst manners for pausing
I always let them wait out a long pause but GOD FORBID if my team needs a pause because everyone on the enemy team has ADHD and needs to get back to playing right away
My first game as Rubick, and DOTA2 crashes. I rush to get back on, and waddya know? Nobody paused.
So here I am, already underleveled like hell. The good thing is that I still managed to get like two kills so that closed the gap by a bit. And then our Shadow Fiend fed the enemy Naga Siren and Tiny. And of course, it was MY fault we lost because nobody thought to pause. (That was their excuse. They didn't think to pause it because nobody noticed that I disconnected.)
Pause a game because one of my friends had to go brb and we say it in chat. Me, her BF, and another guy our on our team and some impatient asshole on the enemy team keeps unpausing it. She paused it, he unpaused. I pasued it, again unpaused. Her BF unpauses, he unpauses and then gets mad on chat typing shit like "..." and "really?" I pause it this time, and he unpauses it.
Valve should do something to counter this because we couldn't pause it after that. Yet he can unpause as much as he likes? Was annoying. At least we delayed it long enough.
We paused a game once, enemy team goes "NO ONE DISCONNECTED" and keeps unpausing.

I feel like people take the game way too seriously.
Sure, sometimes you might actually ruin the fun for the people in your team, but jesus fuck, is it a reason to go on a rampage telling everyone to report and saying "bla bla bla X in our team is noob bla bla"?
Dammit people, chill out, its a goddamn game, no need to go nuts, especially when those who talk shit sometimes do even worse.
they should make the popular heroes less cool. Then new players will stop instapicking them. >___<

Had this one siren who fought in almost every team-fight.. And every time she'd use her ulti after her team was killed.

I had a team once who became furiously mad at me because I was talking.
Ironically I randomed Silencer, one of my best heroes, I do some chit chat with the other team pre-game, and ask who goes mid.
They respond with lots of "fuk u" "crydur you suck" "asshole"
A guy leaves in the hero select screen, and they guaranteed hes coming back because they know him on skype or something.
And then he doesn't come.
The Apparition on the other team apparently had been queueing for 15 min, and after I said "sure he returned right" they (my team) said "FUCK U HE RETURNED" and left.

Guilty, but I didn't pull the more wins than X card, I pulled the "I have a girlfriend and you don't" card.
Can't remember who it was, but for me to say that, must have been a real dick.
I was mid as Tiny and this guy went bot as Chaos Knight along with Shadow Demon. I ganked both top and bot like twice within the 15th minute, their mid couldn't do much since I kept grabbing the runes at the 2 minute marks. So their mid never ganked, but our Chaos Knight KEPT getting killed in his own lane, he went 0/5 at the first 10 minutes (I had already ganked their lane before that). Now I have no idea how you die 5 times as Chaos Knight with a Shadow Demon lane partner but whatever. So this guy starts whining how the team never helps him (in early laning phase..). So he gets into an argument with our Ogre Magi and our magi just leaves because there's no hope in this guy. Then he gets mad at me because I called him out on his horribleness in allchat. He pulled out the cheap arguments like 'Go back to LoL', 'gg our Tiny is shit'. He even checks my profile to see where I'm from and he's like 'Fucking whiny European' (he got pretty mad I think since my team was backing me up). I went something like 15/5 in the end and he was 4/10 or something close to that and he said I got that many kills because Tiny is supposed to get a lot of kills and CK not.. He also had about 300 wins so I'm wondering what the hell's wrong with this guy.
Probably an everyday DOTA moment but this guy pissed me off a little.

Just played a game as Veno where I got ganked and killed repeatedly with no help from my team. I left because I was tired of them not giving a shit about me, and only giving me advice on how to not die.
I'm a support character, and people who let their support get ganked repeatedly with no help whatsoever pisses me off so much that I can't even play the fucking game.
In order to counter pausing issues, there should probably be two kinds of pauses. Soft pause, which is the regular pause feature, and hard pause, which can only be broken by a majority on both teams.
That way, soft pause can be used for minor issues such as a phone call, and hard pause can be used for more serious issues.

I played a game just now, and we had a really good start, we got kills and towers and, at least in my lane, we were scaring the enemy away out of exp range. Later in the game we had a bad team fight and the enemy team started coming back. So our anti-mage starts going in 1v5 because "we already lost so I'm going to defend til the death, unlike you pussies", we were all dead at the time he said this, and most other times he charged in with very little or no support. Then at the end of the game when we lost he completely blamed everyone else on the team for feeding.
I was Axe and there was a Clinkz on our team who literally stayed invisible the whole game. He sat next to Phantom Assassin and various others while they took our towers. We had a bad time.

My friend did that aswell yesterday.
He stayed invisible the whole time a fight was going on, and when the enemy was retreating, he aimed at the guys who were running further away from him instead of the ones that were basically stationary near him.
He also has this bad habit of chasing people even though they are already far away and even safe behind a tower.

I sort of understand what he's saying. To play dota 2 you can't really pause or you'll fall behind and probably fuck up the game.
But... What the hell, he left a 1 year old unnatended to play dota? :v: not like you end all life if you go afk in a game. Sure its a bit bad but heck people have stuff popping out every now and then.
Man, as a Sand King player I love blood-thirsty melee heroes like ursa or bloodseeker. I wait till they have no tango or TP and at least half of HP, then I let them see me running and hiding in the trees, and when they come I burrowstrike and do the sandstorm, so the dinner it´s ready for my carry lane partner. And don´t worry, their rage feeds me :v:
Also, a persistent Ursa came for me, so I hide in my sandstorm... and that guy stayed around the whole 40 seconds, resulting in another sandstorm cast, then gank and its furry bear ass raped. That could have been avoid with a teammate, but no, Ursa strong, Ursa hunts alone. Hilarious times when a drow ranger slows an ursa down and kills him just running away and shooting. twice, as ursa had Aegis
Playing pudge, come to gank bot and sb charges the enemy that i announce i am ganking, which is fine and then when i get the kill before he even gets here he starts screaming about ks and shit, as he was 0-3 10 mins in and started crying about how all his kills get stolen immediately every time he goes to gank, after i got the kill i continued to push the lane and we got the tower and he starts crying even more and reports me for leeching exp. he said "FUCK OFF PUDGE NOOB KSER ME AND PUGNA BOT"
They were butt buddies and every time pugna had some small problem sb would pause and check everything and shit.
