It doesn't matter how good of a player you are.
If at least one of your enemies has a brain, and 3 of them has half, he will coordinate a gank on you specifically to get the rapier.
Thats why your team needs to always orbit around you if you have a rapier

I feel ya, man... Random draft always puts that on me!
Visage, Clockwerk, or Sniper...
...Vengeful Spirit, Lion, Ogre Magi...

Sniper, Visage and Clockwerk are not what I would call easy heroes.
First example: sniper was the only feasible choice- even my team disagreed with profanity.
Second example: they're all very basic, cornerstone heroes..
Playing with a bane who had lvl 1 brain sap, lvl 4 enfeeble and stats, no fiends grip. I said "bane, please lvl up brain sap and fiends grip, they're your 2 best spells"
He says "brain sap wont work on these hero because escaps, and fiend grip they will just escap with blink;
We also had an ursa who kept raging whenever doombringer doomed him and his fury swipes wasn't working so he reported him for cheating.
I played with this Lifestealer that said I was the carry.
I was playing Queen of Pain.
He also said he was 4 levels behind me because jungling is harder than solo mid.
Nobody ganked him in the jungle, and he had Midas.
Sometimes I just don't understand people.

Queen is more of a super early carry IMO.
I wouldn't rely on it.

Just play her SingSing style.
MoM and Rapier.

My point is that Queen of Pain is not the carry of the team when you have a Lifestealer.
Hate it when people call you out for playing an "easy hero"

I shit on people who play things like Lycan or Ursa or anything of the sort.
Seriously, I hate ursa players. "make damage to make MORE damage!"
Instant win if not shut down.
Also, Queen of Pain who went into a cluster of 4 heroes right after her invisibility weared off and then went afk after a few kills. Dire ended up losing just because she went afk.
And that QoP was me... T'was lunch time, and I couldn't wait any more. I thought my team had it in the bag, but then I came back and dire had lost.
If I had stayed, we would have won. At least I made up for that by piledriving on the next game. And now I love QoP.

I'd say she can carry almost as good as other carries, but she excels better at nuking and escaping.
Is the dota team ever going to have a tutorial system for new people to the genre? I had a guy in a bot match that literally knew nothing about a dota type game. He went lich and just ran straight into nukes left and right. Im not mad that hes new, im mad that he knew literally nothing about the genre and was doing extremely stupid stuff that anyone can go "hmmm that guy is spinning around with his sword, maybe i should back off." instead of running straight into it. Shit i wasnt that bad in LoL when that first came out. And it wasnt even an easy bot match, it was on the hardest difficulty.
Also had a luna that didnt use her ulti once, and a new pudge that would hook me out of battles every time. I told luna to use her ulti more often and she told me to fuck off and how I wasnt helping. i was lvl 25 Templar assassin and she was only lvl 15.

I don't mind newbies, no matter how stupid.
I really fucking hate those scumbags that are completely terrible at the game, but only insult or ignore you when you give advice.
There should be a super basic tutorial for people that enter the "I have never played this type of game before" bracket. (You get to choose on first start up)

I mean that, or a helpful hint pop up system. Because this guy didnt know anything at all and solo the towers all the time and was killed all the time.

Yes it's even written on the Play screen, are you blind ?
Yes it's even written on the Play screen, are you blind ?
There should be one similar to the item testing screen with small scenarios teaching you how to not be a complete failure at life.
Like, learning that last hit = gold, and that you can deny allied creeps.
The one problem with QoP is that she's not a very reliable carry. And, although she doesn't decline as hard as some semi-carries, she isn't necessarily going to provide the role a legitimate carry would in late game. Heroes like Drow or Viper, who shine late game, are going to overpower her.

I hate it when I'm doing bad and people just go "BLARG NOOB FUCK REPORT BLA BLA BLA"
I hate it when I'm doing bad and people just go "BLARG NOOB FUCK REPORT BLA BLA BLA"
We had a broodmother who sat in her web the whole game, never attacking and only coming out once in awhile in a teamfight to get herself killed. I'm not sure if it was intentional feeding or what, but the whole game they went no kills and not even an assist if I recall.
Brood got pissed when a teammate said to report and said we should all get reported for harassment and chat spam, when brood was doing more typing then anyone else. Telling us we should play the game while she sits in her web in mid for 5 minutes without moving a muscle.
I hate people so much sometimes.
Just came from a game with a team full of absolute retards.
The slightest mistake = NOOB NOOB NOOB GJ NOOB
Best part was when we lost.
We push a hole through mid, and are a tower a way from ending the game, with our base untouched. They have only base top and bot towers and barracks and smaller building, and 1 tower protecting ancient.
"Hey guys lets push mi-"
"LETS PUSH BOT" Says venomancer.
We go bot, I'm ready, right near the tower, but everyone stays back, walking in circles. I start the attack, and everybody bails, and I die.
Sniper goes invisible
"omg clinkz why don't you kill him?"
"because he went invisible?"
"get gem!"
*gem on shop cooldown due to someone having bought it a losing it in a team fight*
Bot eventually goes all down...
"Lets push mi-"
"LETS PUSH TOP!!!" says the venomancer...
Nobody pushes top, or they actually go top, except they never really get to the top of the map. They just stay on their side of the map, doing whatever.
I try to end the game myself since all the dire is spread around the map killing incoming creeps, take the tower down to half, ES stuns and kills me.
"lol clinkz noob"
"REPORT CLINKZ" said venomancer and huskar...
I keep on trying to kill the last tower, but it just doesn't goes down, and my damage isn't enough to do it. Meanwhile, venomancer showers me in "noob, report" and bla bla.
Then they get in a team fight on mid, and he calls me there. I was just about to get money for a demon edge, but because my team was shit at target priority, they got their asses beat, along with me, who's money went down below 2000, so no demon edge...
Shit goes on like that, meanwhile, me, bloodseeker and invoker are noobs no matter what we do.
Someone actually manages to destroy the last tower, dies, I go there to destroy the ancient, bh comes for me with gem, kills me, venomancer goes yet again showering me with "noob, report"
And then, BH just appeared next to our ancient, and destroyed it, after his team pushed a little bit and 2 of them actually left.
End comments?
"REPORT CLINKZ BS AND INVOKER, THEY ARE NOOBS"
"report clinkz, hes an idiot"
First time I actually said "fuck you" to someone in dota. I try to keep it cool and not actually rage or go apeshit at someone, but godDAMN.
Fucking retards. I told them countless times to push the fucking last tower and finish the game, but NOOOO LETS PUSH BOT AND THEN TOP, WE TOTALLY NEED TO PUSH THOSE AND DIE SOME MORE AND FEED LESHRAC AND BH AND DROW.
I just told venomancer and the rest of the team that they were fucking idiots for stalling the game and not finishing when they could and to go fuck himself.
Me and bloodseeker got items at least. But for fuck sakes, that venomancer was a fucking idiot. We could have won ages ago.
Oh wow, what a wall of text... Sorry there..
I know that feel... I know that feel so much bro.
It was just awful.
I think they expected me to kill everyone that respawned which was as fed as me, if not even more, destroy the last tower and kill the ancient. It was just bloody awful.
If I could, I would have banned him and the huskar from dota for a day or something. Complete retards and unpleasant people who expect a fucking pub game to work better than a pro game.
I even remember Invoker landing some fucking awesome sunstrikes. He missed one when we were chasing an enemy into their base and what does he gets?
"lol noob invoker, can't aim for shit", despite having landed almost every single sunstrike.
And I don't even understand what the fuck was bloodseeker doing wrong. Heck, he even tried to push alone like me, maybe even more, and had better farm than me and could do quite a bit of damage, but we were also too desorganized and with shit target priority, and those 2 fucks just fucking gave orders and whined.
I still remember venomancer telling me to wait for him near the tower to dual team it. Problem was while he was still on radiant territory prancing around in circles, the enemy walked near me with gem, and he also expected me to kill them all alone and escape.
Fuck, that game... fuck. Just all kinds of wrong.
That is is one of the reasons I always say "let's finish this fast", no matter what. The enemy will alway have a chance to win, no matter how small it is. (It also aplies to when you are lossing, don't give up even if a dissaster.)
Sadly most pub players have some kind of mental illness and don't understand that. They get too cocky with the minimun "advantage" and try to make the matches way too long, and ofcourse when it goes wrong they blame the rest.

This reminds me of a game where we died a few times early game and they didn't so they had about 10 kills advantage and they got cocky and ended up with us having about 30 kills more and winning.

fed faceless on my team buys 2 divine rapiers
ancient is 25% hp
he dies
Game got turned around completely...Kunkka picked both up.
Just saw a game, Dire mid lane Tiny, instead of buying wards or asking the support Tide to buy wards, decided to use courier to cover the rune spots. Whenever anyone tried to use the courier, he'd send the courier back to rune spot.
"who da fuk is using my courier"
Tidehunter bought and upgraded it at the start of the game.

Clinkz.
Invisibility didn't even give me a chance since they had gem, and even though I ganked like a motherfucker early game, "somehow" the enemy ended being fed more than me.

I think that's how I win most faceless games.
Start out slow as hell, get to 14 or so and by then usually I have some good enough crap, and LET THE FUN BEGIN.
And this is usually after the enemy already shat on us a few times.

People don't understand that Rapiers are designed for making a comeback, not for keeping a lead you already have.
(Unless you are Bounty Hunter or Skeleton King)
[editline]23rd August 2012[/editline]
(Or maybe occasionally Kunkka)
I've had that happen a couple of times.
My team is winning, our carry gets cocky and feeds a rapier or two.
Then comes the part where we lose.
