God, everything is so damn confusing. Talent system has been changed completely? You can only be in one tree now, rather than being a hybrid? I haven't played in about 3 years, it's so utterly confusing. I don't even know where to start. My warrior got owned by a death knight, same level, both level 71. He'd just respawned as I had ganked him whilst he was fighting NPCs. I don't even know why he beat me, I should have kicked his ass. Guess I'm just really out of sync with everything right now. Any tips for getting back into the swing of things? I'm just gonna attempt to do quests at the moment, but my skills are so overwhelming. I've forgotten what most of them do.
TBC was the best expansion overall, Wrath had better PVE though (Ulduar and ICC tied for best raid), Cataclysm was kind of mediocre though. I didn't get to raid other than LFR DS since my guild died so maybe that was it, but I found the PVP really unbalanced. The new 1-60 experience and 81-85 zones were cool though. I really liked Uldum.
Yer Uldum was the best the first time then deepholm was total shit.
Hyjal was fast, kind of boring quest wise, but absolutely packed with lore that interests me. Vash'jir is my second favorite looking zone but had pretty bad quest flow Deepholm was my least favorite. Tedious and boring looking. Uldum was great. Great quests, great environment, great lore, great parodies. Loved every minute of it Twilight Highlands was a pretty good zone as well.
I would've finished Uldum but I got my character transferred and the quests dissapeared, so I couldn't find the questgiver again. Really likes Hyjal, and the dailies though
My God. Playing WoW after all this time just feels... so damn good. The new talent system sucks, I hate how it forces you into just one tree (I know you can have dual talents, but I miss the good old days of being a hybrid Affliction / Demonology Warlock) but I can see why they did it, it's cleaned up the vast number of spells, so playing isn't utterly confusing. I remember going hybrid meant I'd have access to so many skills that my action bars were full to the brim. Having a really great time, questing is fun, going to level up to 75 then start BGing. Right now, I'm not entirely sure where my gear stands. I've got full Epic PvP gear from like 3 years ago, and it seems to be doing great. I can take out level 72 enemies (I'm level 71) in about 5 seconds and not suffer too much damage. Haven't tried PvP out yet, because I know I'll get beaten by level 79s as I'm sure armour has been upgraded a lot since 3 years ago. Can't wait to subscribe to the monthly deal, and I can't wait for MoP to come out. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] Still unsure about what's changed with my class. I don't seem to have soul shards any more, I miss draining enemies souls and hoarding like 50 soul shards (they made it max of 3 ages ago though). [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] Does anyone happen to play on US - The Maelstrom server? It's the one I'm on and it'd be cool to quest or something with a fellow FPer. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] Anyone mind sending me a scroll of resurrection? We'll both get benefits from it, as I'm going to purchase a month of time in a few days. PM me if you're interested.
leveling from one I'd prob play with you
God, these hunter changes are so damn good. BM is so god damn op, all you have to do is spam arcane shot and kill command then you are at like 50k dps.
going to level my hunter now then
I hate how I can't get myself to play even though I have like 2 months more gametime. Argh.
I hate how I can't get myself to play even though I have like 2 months more gametime. Argh.
That's why you should only buy one month at a time, makes you feel less guilty for not playing. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
leveling from one I'd prob play with you
I'm not really up for starting a level one character. I mean, I've already got a level ~70 Warrior, Warlock, Rogue, Hunter and Druid, so I want to get them up to 80 (or at least the Warlock, Hunter and Warrior [in that order] up to 80). Not many other classes I'm interested in playing to be honest. Perhaps a Priest or Deathknight. I'd be up for levelling from 70-95 with you though? I'm level 72 on my Warlock. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] You can only imagine the pain I feel right now at finding out my US account (I have an EU one too) has become illegible for the Scroll of Resurrection, as - get this - I subscribed to the 7-day Cataclysm free trial 2 days ago after being inactive for 2 and a half years. So I feel quite shit right now. I could have gotten someone to invite me and received a free level 80. Going to call up Blizzard Support and see if they can't be nice and perhaps let it slide, because really, it's crazy bad luck.
sucks man, kind of done with playing a deathknight. suppose I'll play my hunter up and maybe I can transfer him.
70-95
MoP only increases the level cap to 90, before you get too excited. [editline]beep[/editline]
Having a really great time, questing is fun, going to level up to 75 then start BGing. Right now, I'm not entirely sure where my gear stands. PvP in 70-74 as long as you can because you might not have fun in the next bracket unless you collect greens yourself.
What's a Cataclysm green? Cheers for the info. I had no idea the level brackets were from 70-74, that's really great. I've got ancient PvP gear so I should be pretty good. I'll level to 74 then just BG for a while.
What's a Cataclysm green?.
A piece of green gear that is 260(?) ilvl or above. It's the sort of shit you start to get when you get to the cataclysm zones. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] Speaking of greens I can't wait for Mists and all, but I am going to find it hard replacing my Epics with greens. First time playing this game on a Expansion release so it's gonna be new for me.

Many of these items only require levels between 77 and 79 and as such provide a fantastic stat increase over items that drop naturally or are purchasable for players in that bracket. I'm going to yet again miss an expansion release. Gonna be away from the PC for a few months as I'm going abroad. Would have been fun to experience everything new with everyone else.
I'm going to yet again miss an expansion release. Gonna be away from the PC for a few months as I'm going abroad. Would have been fun to experience everything new with everyone else.
I think there's a different sort of fun to be had in being slightly late - you aren't going to be part of a mob of people rushing to the new zones, you'll have a lot of things to yourself and you'll be able to enjoy your experience a bit more without hordes of folks slaughtering your questing resources. Obviously you won't be as up on gear as everyone else and that won't be fun but gearing doesn't seem as if it'll be such a pain. It all depends on how you enjoy the game - i personally will be rushing along with the rest of my guild to gear for new content but some people would rather take it more slowly than I.
I enjoy the rush, but the point you make is true, so I'll enjoy it either way. It's just I love when there's plenty of people to hop in a party with and quest with. Doing instances are great fun, I haven't done an instance in ages. So I feel like by the time I can actually hop on MoP, everyone'll be past the stuff I want to do.
In the beta when a massive number of people were given access at once you couldn't see the pandaren starting area for players and it was still OK for getting the quests done. Except being a beta a few were bugged but - you know. Getting and handing in quests wasn't a problem with lots of players, especially not in starting zones where no one has a big ass dragon to ride around on
God, these hunter changes are so damn good. BM is so god damn op, all you have to do is spam arcane shot and kill command then you are at like 50k dps.
They're best in pvp. Binding shot, narrow escape and lynx rush = every melee dps dead.
They're best in pvp. Binding shot, narrow escape and lynx rush = every melee dps dead.
Also, the explosive trap glyph + eots is about the most fun I've ever had.
Since MoP is coming out soon one of my buddies said I should get back into the game with him so we can level to 90 together when it launches. I made a Warlock to pass the time, so I'm leveling that and for some reason it feels stupidly fast to level nowadays and I'm not even using heirlooms. Also, what the fuck is this bullshit talent tree? It seems so dumbed down it hurts.

Sure, some classes are going to benefit from some talent choices more, and i'm sure something's going to sim 5 dps higher than some other choice, but by and large players are open to choose talents that suit their roles in combat and playstyle better than 'Backhand deals 1% more damage while Mean Look is active' or 'Reduces movement speed lost from ass cramps by 5% while riding tigers' or whatever.
So I uh, got bored and decided to find out what colours I could make a firehawk. Not a bad way to pass time.
Playing AV, some guy says "/me has reported you for AFK. Type /afk clear to fix it" or someshit. Anyways I fell for it and got deserter :suicide:
Bought this for 1499g, should I save it for my ret paladin who I'm lvling or sell it for alot more than 1499g?
