Don't use the 7 day free trial thingy. Get a friend of yours to send you a Scroll of Resurrection. It's great, because you can level one of your characters instantly up to level 80, so when MoP comes out, you'll be able to get right into it. It also gives you a free upgrade to Cataclysm. I can send you one if you want, or someone else can (preferably, as there's no point in me getting a free month as I'll be out of the country for 2 months). Scroll of Resurrection gives you 7 days free as well, so it's basically a win win.

I've not played for 2 and a half years, I just started playing 4 days ago after that huge break. Of course I'm not going to have achievements. Achievements weren't even out the last time I was playing.
I activated a trial last Summer (or the Summer before), but everything was so different I just ran about for a couple of hours before putting WoW off again for another year.

No, that isn't what I'm saying. For some reason, you can't seem to read my posts. I've not leveled once. I've leveled from 1-70 three times, plus countless other times from 1-60 back when the going was tough and getting to 60 didn't take 5 days.
Yet for some reason, you can't seem to understand that. You keep thinking I've played through 1-70 once and am now saying "I'm going to get a character power leveled from 1-70 again because it's boring and I've already done it."

I actually can't believe how much you've missed my point. My point isn't "I've done it once now all I want is to raid or do PvP". My point is, I don't have all the time in the world like I used to to level from 1-85, and the time I do have to play WoW is time I'd much rather spend doing things I enjoy. Spending hours grinding and doing quests [I]isn't[/I] something I enjoy (depending on the level! I enjoy the level 70+ quests as they're all new to me, I feel like I've said this so many times).

Anyone else kind of dislike how leveling id designed? I kind of liked it when the atmosphere of leveling was "Adventure" and not "Campaign". It may sound weird, but hear me out.
Like, when you go play through Silverpine or whatever, it's a straight line as far as questing goes. The game tells you where to go and what to do, and it progresses the "Campaign" of the zone. That may seem cool, but it ruins what I liked about the game; adventure.
You know, like you go into Arathi Highlands, and then you could just walk around and enjoy yourself. You could find that stone mother thing quest line, and then it takes you all around Azeroth getting shit, and it you have to actually look for stuff. Or you find some undead chick that wants vengeance on it's family or whatever. That's all really great, you're on an adventure. Nothing is streamlined, you have to go find your quests.
I don't have the cinematic for when you're on Deathwing's back? The heck?
Also when I open my map there are like black parts that buffer or someshit, anyone else getting this?

I was getting the map buffering thing. Just open your map and leave it open for a few minutes, it gradually goes back to normal.
Also, Rammlied, I like the new Quest Tracking thing. I remember back at the start, when WoW was relatively new, questing was such a huge pain in the ass. You'd have to alt-tab to some website that had all the quest directions on it, because quests were so vague and irritating. The new quest system is great because it tells you where to go and saves you so much walking about.
The novelty of the whole adventuring wears off after you've done it so much. It gets to a point where you just want to level, and not walk around all over the place for a measly 5,000 xp or whatever. But I understand where you're coming from. Arathi Highlands... Good memories. But like I said, some of the quests were so vague and required such an awful amount of time to look around for the quest objectives.

Some people simply don't want to go through same stuff over and over again to play max level heroes. So it's dumb to skip all the leveling for what reason, it's sounds dumb?

I agree with Chirno, just because youve leveled once to max shouldnt mean you should be able to skip the levels, if you dont like leveling dont make a new char.

That is true. I dunno, I kind of wish zones where random to some extent. Like one day the quest givers would be in one place and giving certain quests, and another day there would be different quest givers in a totally different area giving different quests. So it'd be somewhat fresh every time. That'd be hard to pull off but it'd make leveling fun.
Well this group have been failing nonstop for almost 1-2 hours since I've been thrown into the same group and they haven't gotten anywhere.

he's not even went through cataclysm content, he last played 3 years ago and he's literally unwilling to try it cause of every shit excuse under the sun (even though most of us in the thread have the same obligations and somehow manage ok)

Do you have a boss mod installed, most popular ones block cinematics playing cause it was annoying as hell during heroic progression. As for the map which addon are you using?

Then don't make a new fucking character, how hard is that to understand? It's dumb because why should someone get to skip tons of content just because they've done part of it once? I've played arena once, wheres my full gear set?
What do you mean I haven't gone through the Cataclysm content? That's what I'm doing now. Cataclysm content is from 70-85, no? That's what I'm doing. I've said so many times that I'm leveling my Warlock and my Warrior, both 70, to 85.
But can we please drop this stupid argument. You're completely right. I'm an utter baby for wanting to be spoonfed. I should be ashamed of myself and quit WoW for good. I don't deserve to play the game because I'm not willing to put the time and effort in.
