you can hold your ignorance to yourself, because while wow has more content and years backing it, you will always be doing the same thing for similar rewards. Dungeon grinding and pvp grinding is always the same.Whereas in GW2 its a newer game, but that includes great graphics and physics installed with an mmo. It combines the best of a third person shooter combined with a new style in mmo. THey have revolutionized pvp with WvWvW and have created a story that you actually listen to the dialogue and enjoy yourself. Gear isnt the main thing you need, its skill and knowhow. Every class has more options. Engi can flamethrower, throw grenades, or plant mines. Ele can heal, aoe or stdps. Its a great game, and it will take time to get to the popularity of wow, but in time it will.
The speech my friend sent me over steam in order to convince me to start playing gw2
yeah why grind endgame content in wow when you can play gw2 and have no endgame content to grind
And GW2 didn't revolutionize PvP with WvWvW.
I'm really confused as to why people say this. I mean, I personally think GW2 does PvP better than most MMOs but it's nothing totally revolutionary. All they did was improve things based off the GW1 PvP and took aspects from other MMOs and did it slightly better.
yeah why grind endgame content in wow when you can play gw2 and have no endgame content to grind
Their "end game content" at the moment is just exploration, world jumping puzzles, high level world events/world bosses, and just PvP/WvWvW. There are a few end game dungeons but they're just like WoW's dungeons where you have to grind for points or hope better gear than why you have no drops. It's nothing fancy.
I do hope that they add more dungeons and world events/world bosses, but I would like some kind of raid content at some point.
But the games is still new and needs time to grow. Plus it seems like people forgot WoW had little to no endgame and was pretty darn buggy for months when it originally came out..
'Should just play both if you enjoy both, I will. GW2 is more casual friendly in terms of schedule consumption, allowing you to come on whenever.
Can't bloody well decide what my Monk is going to be. Either Draenei Male or Pandaren Male. Or... if they finish the new Dwarf models come launch, I may consider one. Not getting my hopes up on that though.
I really find MMO snobbery really funny to read. Like, you can "only ever" be part of one.

If I recall, wasn't Blizzard only going to release the model updates when they were all complete? I seem to remember hearing that.
They're all supposed to be updated in the expansion at launch iirc.
Really? I seem to also remember being told that the model updates wouldn't make the expansion release.
Then again, my memory is shitty, and my sources (assuming they even exist) might not be trustworthy.
I hope you're right though.
I do too.
I'm not 100% sure about it though, would most likely be a post launch thing which would be understandable. It's a lot of shit to update.
Model updates aren't gonna be in for launch, at least for the original races anyway. Got everything ready atm, RAF levels to level 81, consumables, gear sets and other stuff, mite be able to get 85 before my first lecture on tues
This may be a dumb question but aren't they updating all the models for all the gear too or was it just character models?
Anyone know of any pandaria launch world events? I haven't seen any news of them
They only did the scenario, they said they weren't doing an event this year so they could focus entirely on MoP.
This may be a dumb question but aren't they updating all the models for all the gear too or was it just character models?
Nah, no word on updating gear, but I believe there's a higher res of textures on some gear that's different between races. (My goblin looks better in certain older gear than my human, but I could just be going mad.)
They're updating all the models - slowly. They've said they're working primarily on human and orc models, and "if we can do those we feel we can update all races."
They've also said they might not drop all the models at once, they'd sort of... stream them in as they're finished, but that seems extremely unlikely and is probably just hot air. Unless it's some scheme to encourage race changing.
So, yeah, they're updating models and apparently it should be in MoP. Just not at launch, and perhaps spread across more than one content patch.
Fun fact, 3 of the 7 job openings on the WoW Team are for character artists.
Well tomorrow is the big day, perhaps this thread will get more than 10 post a day then.
I hope they patch in new Outlands quest soon, they're damn boring.

don't see why blizz would focus on new content that would be used for a week at max.
Yeah outlands is pretty dull and you end up coming out of it looking like a hobo.
Bought MoP today, it said yeah 30 but it only costed me 10.

powernap complete, fully prepped for 11pm
I really cant decide if i should get straight on and try to level to 90, or make a monk or level a whole new character.
I made a DK and played him up to level 68 before even going to Northrend.
I'm going to make a panda monk first thing, but doubt I'll be able to wait that long to go to the new zone.

Don't touch my outlands, maggot
To prepare, do all your dailies and don't turn them in. Turn them in at launch so that you have a good XP boost.

10 Dollars or 10 Euro? How'd you get it to do that? I wanna buy MoP, and 39.99USD ain't that big a deal, but I'm a cheap bastard so if I can get it for less, then that's what I'll do.
