Just bought MoP and finished the Pandaren's starter area. I started as a monk and I feel a bit underwhelmed by monks, they play weird.
Heigou, I feel the same. Monks are just so incredibly different from every other class I've played. But from what I can tell, higher leveled Monks seem to have a shit-tonne of fun. They've got some real fun spells.

It's just like a Pally or a Rogue. Any class with a second resource.
For me they kind of felt clunky. The energy seems to deplete quickly while Chi has a max of what, 4 spots? So it's a lot of resource management, and felt just overall awkward. It was different enough that I liked it however.

I've heard the mistweaver and windweaver (I think?) Performed kinda weird even at high levels but that Brewmaster was a blast.
I got my Panda Monk to 90, been doing Heroics as Mistweaver. Does perform weird. has some serious kinks to iron out. Tank healing is based on RNG chi generation, and having two people taking large amounts of damage at the same time is nothing short of a nightmare.

FP as a whole or just this thread? Of course WoW players are going to like it(for the most part), but I've not seen anyone from FP(outside the WoW thread) say anything good about it other than Blizzard's great cinematic...

Woo, finally a heroic weapon! I'd have been pretty annoyed to have the only heroic weapon I've seen drop get taken by a DK who already had a heroic weapon even if this one was slightly better than his current.
I must have been pretty lucky then, the first Heroic I did the first boss drop a bow for me.
I'm already close to being fully HC geared, roll on the raids.

Well, I guess I should say, it's the only heroic weapon that is useful to arms that I've seen... I've seen staves, bows and 1 handers, but never anything I can actually use for my spec.
Anyone else here playing a Warlock in the latest update? I've always used it as my main for years but I'm just not feeling it with this update. I'm guessing I totally have to change my playing style with the new changes to it?
I guess, I would just jug on through it rather being conservative. You could always go mage maybe?

Yeah I noticed Shamans seem to be weaker now, I can't deal as much damage now I noticed.
Been a good day, killed the Sha for a third time, this time he dropped a item that started a quest that gave the whole raid group epic boots.
I then decided to buy one of them JC panthers. Pretty cool mount.

Sha of anger spawns and we managed to tag it before envy does.
its down to 241mil hp.
Then our paladin killed the boss in one hit.
The paladin talent (the hammer that falls from the sky) hit him for over a billion damage.
Anyway to cut a long story short. I got tier gloves and epix boots :D

I have no game time, does anyone know if I'll get a free month if I upgrade to MoP? I'd like to try it but I don't really want to be paying for a month of game time on top of the upgrade.

I'm leveling a monk. I'm a brewmaster and right now I'm level 69 just doing dungeons to finish Outland and my tanking has been utter shit for like the past 10 levels. I don't know what weapons I should be using. I've just been getting Stam and Agi gear and waiting for staffs and polearms to drop. Any pro-tips?

Remember that Brewmasters can also dual-wield. Now mine isn't even 20 yet so i have no idea whether DW is worse than 2H for tanking but it's an option

I think it's generally the case that 2H staffs/polearms have more stats on them than 2 1H weapons so I think they are meant to go for 2H
In other news I wish I could stop myself when buying shit. Over 2 days I dropped 60k on flying cat mounts.
I gotta say MOP made questing really fun. I was immersed in the world and the story has been very good so far. I really can't wait until I get to 90 and start PVP. The Warrior set looks amazing.
Hey Chrino, you play arms warrior don't you right? What's your opinion on it for this expansion?
