Shamans are really in a odd spot, I've always felt they have been since WoTLK.

spent fucking ages today trying to get these but after about 7 runs in Scarlet Monastery still no luck, I managed to get these gloves though.

I play on Nagrand if you're interested.
Already got scroll'd and I ended up in Argent Dawn, thanks anyways!
I'm currently leveling up a shaman, how have they been shafted? Never got to max level before so I can't tell, and I barely remember how well it leveled (actually I do remember kicking butt in Outlands)

enh currently does pretty great PvE dps, resto is a great PvP healer. Unsure if Ele is in a good spot atm, I know in PvP they can melt somebody during Ascendance unless they get focused, then they melt just as hard. They're getting some defensive buffs in 5.2 I believe, and damage shifted around as well. Personally, I would go Enhance/Resto, unless you just don't feel like maintaining two gear sets. Enhance does good PvE dps, and is pretty decent in some arena comps. Their Ascendance burst is equally crazy as Ele, Stormblast to victory! Resto is a great PvP healer and I believe they're pretty good at PvE healing as well (we always run an rsham in terrace for mastery). I can't really provide a more coherent opinion on Elemental as my shammy is enh/resto (and not even capped, lol) so you might have to look to someone else for that.
One thing I do know about elemental in PvE is that they apparently have a fairly easy rotation. I've heard them called the frost DK of casters.
Elemental PvE is pretty easy now it's mostly rotation rotation rotation, Enhance got shafted a bunch for those who were playing it when the patch happened but since you're rolling from scratch it'll be easy for you to pick up.
Shaman healing got hit a bit but it's still viable, you just have to cram spirit as much as you can get to keep your combat regen high or its gg for you - Don't be tempted to mash the spells that seem like they'll "heal more" they'll deplete your mana faster than you can regen, it's basically spam earth shield on MT, riptide and healing wave.
You can use that natures grace I think it is (been a while) for an instant cast, good to slap it on an expensive heal as an emergency.
AVOID USING HEALING SURGE.
Eh I'm still cooling off from WoW. Blizzard slapping me in the face and making my 3 years of Shaman experience worth nought pissed me right off.
Might return one day though.
Wait, what's wrong with Shamans? I've at level 82 and playing Enhancement and I've not felt anything be off, are they worse than they used to be?
Edit: Well, that'll teach me not to refresh for an hour.
IMO enhance shaman is the most fun, healing as a shaman can be fun as well.
One thing that troubles me now that I'm playing wow again, is that instancing isn't fun anymore, atleast with strangers. I remember back when I played, we took our sweet time clearing an instance, and on the way we'd chit chat, and in the end we'd part ways, maybe even befriend, being nice and stuff.
Nowadays, from the ones I've been, it's just a rush fest, how fast can we clear this instance so I get the loot I'm looking for. Don't fuck up and make me waste my time, else I'm out. There's also no words spoken, even if you try to engage in some talk. And there's usually no time for that as well.
It's so unengaging and mindless, it really saddens me, as instancing was one of my favourite things to do back when I used to play.

when tanking I eat the shit out of the instance but I also talk to the group and encourage them to go for achievements and such. I think it's a nice balance - the folks who just want to get loot get it (maybe), and the social folks get that too.
If it's some wrath dungeons and anything BC/vanilla though you can eat shit because i'm pulling the entire instance.
I got a enhancement shaman level 90, kinda wish I leveled up a tank class though. Wish humans could be shamans too. So now leveling a monk and next will be to finish off leveling up my level 30 BE paladin called pulling, I've had him from BC.

I still remember back in BC Enhancement Shamans were able to tank instances up to level 40.
Good days.
Also, goblins are fucking awesome, can't believe I never played cata before, their starting area has it all, the game only goes downhill after that. I'm surprised I don't see many goblins around.

Because unlike Worgens, you can't escape the zone so people fucking hate having to play through it every time they roll a Goblin. They also have a lower camera height that bugs lots of people.

I still remember killing mobs with a single swing.

So good fun. so RNG-Riffic.
So, this is a silly question. I have Bartender, how do I bind the new action bars to a key press? Say, everything on that bar is Ctrl+1-=? I'm fairly sure it can be done but have had no luck myself.

Either click the bartender icon on your minimap or type /bt into the chat box, then press the key bindings button at the top-right of the bartender window. Mouse over a button and press the key you wish to bind it to, voila.
you can just type /kb to ender keybinding mode, then hover and press.
yo im a undead fvckdapolice add my ass
Something is wrong with this quest, I think.

Yeah, I see that happen quite a lot, but only in old-world quests. It's pretty annoying when you're just trying to grind out levels.
Ahoy!
I've spent a leisurely saturday morning leveling archeology.
It's super fun, I have MST3K episodes running on my laptop and can give them my full attention when autoflying between sites.
Also: I don't know if I should stick with leatherworking/skinning on my rogue.
Herbalism/inscription is looking pretty good.

Grinding leatherworking from the bottom to the top.
Never again.
Their are bots that level up through quests from 1-90. Blizz doesn't give 2 fucks about botting now.

Not like they have any financial incentive.
ok seriously fuck onyx eggs there's no way i'm grinding this rep on a 5th toon
When multiple hunters try to tame a beast they should engage in fisticuffs. When you drop another hunter to below 15% hp you can perform [Pimp Hand] fatally backhanding them and putting the ho in their place, revoking their taming privileges for an hour.
Just rerolled on Outland, it's nice and busy, and it's nice starting fresh with nothing all over again. I think the only reason I've not got bored yet and gone back to my old characters is because I've not logged into them since buying some game time.
Probably going to level up some characters here then transfer over my 90(s) from my old realm.
