Yes, you get a month free for upgrading from trial to standard. Keep in mind that you don't get a free month for getting an expansion.

Kinda wish they kept flying out of Pandaria, the world feels so much smaller when you can zoom around in the air.

Has anyone else got beef with account wide achievements? I feel like it ruins the experience a bit, I enjoyed achieving things on separate characters, I enjoyed having characters that weren't interlinked. I don't want to be known as The Bane of the Fallen King or the Saviour of Azeroth on a character that hasn't even taken part in a single raid. I don't want my epic mounts on every character I have, I want to work hard to get them again. There's no sense of achievement in anything anymore.
Setting my foot into Goldshire on Moon Guard for the first time ever.
Will I return the same I do not know.

I'm in agreement with you regarding the raid/rep titles (Levelonealt, GUARDIAN OF CENARIUS), but some of the cosmetic titles (jenkins, the patient, etc) are fine. As for mounts you can just get over that because hell if I'm grinding for all those rare mounts again. The vast majority of them had nothing to do with working hard, it was just grinding like a dog (Kurenai mounts), or ridiculous RNG (kara horseman, baron in strat, that GODDAMN BIRD FUCK YOU SETHEKK HALLS AAA). As for things like heroic raid mounts (including the achievement mounts, i.e. rusted drake, that DS mount, etc etc) I do agree that those should stay exclusive, permitted they aren't ALSO subjected to massive RNG (i.e. HC Deathwing Handmaiden now that MoP has released, drop rate was nerfed to 1%). The account-wide mount system is mostly pretty great, with some kinks (like the aforementioned titles or whatever), but largely it just makes levelling an alt less annoying when i can ride around on a kickin' rad dragon the moment I hit 60, or a flaming horse when i hit 20, or whatever.
As for achievements if you're still really hardcore about it you could just do the achievements again - you can still get achieves you've already gotten account-wide, you just won't get achievement points for them.

Goldshire is the bane of Moon Guard. 3 year MG player here. As long as you stay clear away from that hellhole, you should be good to find some great RP.

Decided I wanted to get the ancient pandaren fishing charm after hearing about it, go to where he spawns and he isn't there. Spent 5 minutes waiting before I realized how long this would take, just as I go to fly off the lovely panda spawns. Its a good day.

I think the only point of contention is who will be the one to deliver the blow.
Personally, I want it to be vol'jin, that dude is a total bro. If Varian were to do it it would feel too much like an alliance overthrow for my liking.

Is going to be symbolic, they'll need a Horde character to do it, showing that of the Horde cleansing itself of it's rampaging ways and maniacal bloodlust from within.
If an alliance character does it, it'll basically show the Alliance is on the verge of success since they killed the "Horde" leader.
As of now, Vol'Jin is probably my favorite horde leader and I really want him to become the new warchief.
I still think Cairne was a total bro.
I miss Cairne alot, Cairne was a great leader, Vol'Jin is a great leader, I liked both, though now that Cairne is gone I would give Vol'Jin the position of Warchief any day.
I miss Thrall a lot. Good ol' days back when Thrall was in rule.
