i keep feeling like i'm doing it wrong though like i never have the runes up to use obliterate as much as i want :(
Frost just has some downtime with low gear levels, you get used to it.
i'm in 372 now, bought the panda charity gear. what does gear level have to do with it?
Haste scales the rune cooldowns iirc?
yeah, good point. didn't even think about that. i did realize, however, that i was using howling blast WAY more than I should have been. so that helped. also i'm in some 400+ gear. Man, the MoP dungeons are actually difficult. I like it.
the MoP dungeons are actually difficult. I like it.
A..are they? I found the Cata dungeons much harder than them when they were the relevant content.
The mechanics were actually complicated, which was nice. Also, question about dw frost. They don't take advantage of the 2h obliterate passive, so should I prioritize frost strike w km proc above oblit w km proc?
I'm at 85 now, just waiting to buy MoP, but I want to max my professions out first. I love the Cata dungeons, they're so much more interesting than WotLK, is this trend continued in MoP?

The opposite is true for 2h. Now, I might remember this correctly, but I BELIEVE dw prioritizes HB over Oblit? If you're levelling and aren't able to stack much mastery I think you can just stick with oblit but masterfrost builds should do better damage with HB if my math is correct.

Soul Reaper when target below 35% Diseases Frost Strike if Killing Machine is procced Death and Decay Obliterate when Killing Machine is procced and both diseases are on the target and both Unholy Runes are off cooldown Frost Strike if RP capped Howling Blast if Rime procced Obliterate when both diseases are on the target and both Unholy Runes are off cooldown Howling Blast Horn of Winter Frost Strike

Presumably I'd also prioritize Mastery more than I would with 2h? [editline]5th February 2013[/editline] I have death tap macroed to HB, wonder if I should change it....
Presumably I'd also prioritize Mastery more than I would with 2h? [editline]5th February 2013[/editline] I have death tap macroed to HB, wonder if I should change it....
To the first point, yes, it's called Masterfrost because of how reliant it is on frost damage, and as such it scales best with Mastery. As for the second point I'm not sure. If you're casting Blood Tap after HB I think it should be fine, but i recall reading somewhere that Unholy macros it into Death Coil. I would personally keep it on a separate bind, but as it's off the GCD macroing it into something you spam wouldn't hurt much of anything.
http://elitistjerks.com/f72/t131138-advanced_frost_tactics/#Dual-wield Oblit isn't always a DPS gain.

In the case of dual wield, even before stacking mastery, 2 howling blasts hit harder than an obliterate, and as such howling blast takes a far more prominent spot in our priority. Unfortunately, while both frost and death runes can be used for said howling blast, unholy runes cannot, often leaving us with 2 ugly green runes to get rid of before we can go back to spamming HB and FS. There are three ways to get rid of unholy runes, let's see which is the best. Death and decay: 48.2k dmg Plague strike: 23.2k dmg + 100k (full duration disease, 10k per 3 seconds) Obliterate: 78.1k dmg +45% chance for free HB = 113.2k dmg HB: 78.0k dmg
Yeah, Obliterate is weaker than Howling Blast! But you need to deal with the Unholy runes aswell which if you follow that prioritory I posted earlier it's the best way of dealing with excess unholy runes as the chance of a Howling Blast from Runic Empowerment is always worth it.

He's using Blood Tap. If you'll notice the unholy spending priority list right under the part you quoted, oblit is 4th in priority. I'm not saying NEVER CAST OBLIT HURR but it isn't the most efficient use of your unholy runes.

He must have edited that into his post after I posted. Then yeah, there are more efficient uses for those Unholy Runes.

RE only seems useful for 2h. Dw creates so much room to spam frost strike that you gain a rune from BT every 4-5s. [editline]5th February 2013[/editline] oh, one other thing "Obliterate when both Unholy runes are off CD" does that mean obliterate twice, or just do it once and wait? I don't use unholy runes for anything except oblit and plague strike.
Blizzard master troll. Did icc25 heroic with guild for the title and hopefully cosmetic shit to xmog. LK dropped two crossbows and seals. That's it. We only had one Hunter.
Can you use luck charms in heroics or is it only in raids?
If you mean the gold coins, that's raids only.

Them being that easy to get really takes the "legendary" out of this "legendary quest". I wish the drop rate was the same for the bindings from MC.

After that you get to grind roughly a metric shitton of valor, which unlocks a prismatic socket for your sha-touched weapons. In 5.2 you'll get a legendary meta gem. It's a culmination thing, I don't think there'll be an actual legendary until near the end of the expansion. Don't think of it as MC bindings, think of it as sort of the elementium you have to farm, only you can only get a couple bars every patch.
what are the chances for the bindings anyways? I got both in one run once [editline]6th February 2013[/editline] on a druid :suicide:
what are the chances for the bindings anyways? I got both in one run once [editline]6th February 2013[/editline] on a druid :suicide:
got the Eye on my mage, have both bindings on my druid i plead for death
I got the right half on my DK and decided to get all the matts for it, ofcourse that was a bad idea because now I still haven't got the other half after like a year of doing it now. On the upside though I did get a eye drop while doing it so I at least got that. I just wish I could get the sunwell bow to drop for my hunter, I really want that.
I want to make a warlock just for fun. Can't decide on a race...undead is kind of typical. I'd think troll but they always look more like shamans than necros. Maybe goblin?
Amber shaper heroic I never want to do that fight ever again.
got the Eye on my mage, have both bindings on my druid i plead for death
I got the left binding on my monk last week and then the eye on my druid 2 hours later, I have never been happier in WoW.
What are these stones and bindings?
