If you want vanilla WoW then [url]http://worldofscriptcraft.com/[/url] is very accurate, most other private servers are instant 85 full epic gimmicks.
Having started playing again I feel that all the quests outside of dungeons they give you to be untuned for the current game. Many of these quests are like "Go kill this big baddie, you'll get this piece of gear, a bunch of gold, and XP in amount to 2-3 normal quests", and I go to the big baddie and after the whole cut-scene with NPC's talking and making this out to be all epic the guy spawns with 4x the amount of health any other mob in the zone does and suddenly I get arggoed from 6 other things that walked into me. I kill the big baddie in 4 hits and the rest without even really knowing what was going on shortly after. The last time I played was back in early 06, and I remember things being [I]much[/I] harder to kill. That same quest wouldn't of been soloable back then.
Not that I have complaints, I just find it weird that all the quests feel like they are still tuned for when the game was actually difficult. Easy XP I suppose.
The Vortex Pinnacle is the worst dungeon in Cataclysm.

Personally it's one of my favourite in the whole game, although that's mainly because the place looks so damn nice.

Perhaps it looks a bit nice, but i hate it mainly because it takes such a long ass time to complete.
That and i almost always get it when searching in dungeon finder.
It looks nice and it's short, only problem I have with it is when people are too inconsiderate to jump to avoid the static cling on the last boss. It makes healing it a lot harder.

Takes so long? I find it to be one of the faster ones to do, especially when compared to shit like Blackrock caverns and that bloody beam boss.
That boss makes me wonder how people got this far in the game without even noticing where debuffs are shown.

Pff, believe me.
If you've got shit dps (you're a tank and even you are the best dps in the group), the dungeon takes ages and ages to complete.
Not to mention that the last platform is annoying as fuck, especially because of Temple Adept pairs.

Oooh, I know what you mean about them adepts. Sometimes feels like you are fighting them for ever and just as you are about to kill one he casts a heal and your interrupt is on cooldown.
Adds like that really show if people are interrupting or not.
