It's always faster to level by questing unless you're doing RaF, occasional dungeon doesn't hurt at all though, but only 7 times a week for the bonus exp.
Dungeons will level you quicker if you are a healer or a tank. As a dps you may level quicker by questing. Levelling by dungeons you can accumulate faction rep quickly, practice valuable late-game mechanics, get great gear which often sits way above a level-appropriate quest. If you're an enchanter or doing skinning you can get materials fairly often (From disenchants/mobs). You can level first aid quickly too thanks to copious amounts of linen and such. However many other profs will lose out.
Leveling dungeons as a healer is the greatest thing ever. Between heirlooms and the massive buff to leveling stats/abilities, it's really easy to just follow people around and keep them alive.
made goblin mage aka joke race joke class fire is god damn fun i dont see why everybody always goes for arcane and frost, someone even asked me 'why are you fire, frost is better'
because frost is better, are u dumb or something
Fire is more fun. Fire is like one of the most fun specs in the game. I wish Fire was OP again.
So what's the quicker way to level nowadays, questing or queueing? I haven't done any leveling in a loooong time, and I just unfroze my account to make a new character. Also, it's a shaman I'm leveling.
If you happen to have heirlooms and are leveling a tank, you can solo dungeons up to about cataclysm, some bosses won't be beatable but you can always kill every mobs you can, go out, reset instance, it gives an incredible amount of exp.
Easiest ways for heirlooms?
Queueing as healer is so damned boring though. I'd rather quest by myself as an enhance shaman than heal over-geared groups in dungeons that are way too easy. Even when the tank is just some douche who decided to queue as tank to get in quicker, it seems that nothing can stop groups now. I know it's been like this for a whiiiiiiiiiiiile, but now I remember the reasons why I quit in the first place, and this has got to be one of the top three. Healing as a shammy seems to worsen the boredom as well. For most pulls, all I have to do is make sure earth shield is up and I won't have to heal at all. I'm only level 57 atm, and I realize once I reach the Cata dungeons this won't be the case (as much), but it's still incredibly boring.

Shit's pretty cash.

I don't get how blizz fucked it up so much. Shame enhance is becoming a utility spec in MoP.
it's a lot harder at 85, sometimes you have to throw in a lightning bolt now and then to get some mana back
Shaman healers get a rough deal due to lack of effective manapool regen. Especially in prolonged fights combined with their cost heavy spells.

Well, I decided to give the priest class a shot. Healing is now my favorite thing in the game.
Well, I decided to give the priest class a shot. Healing is now my favorite thing in the game.
My friend and I are levelling a Priest and Warrior on the Horde side (Alliance Based), and I'm loving healing. It's something I can actually pay attention too other than tanking.
shadow priest is best
Priest are boring IMO. Healing's boring too but I've been doing that since BC.
PVP healing is blast, PVE healing is rather boring.
I love priests and was planning on bringing my instant 80 one over to my new account, but to do that I'd have to buy time on the other account so that I can clear the mailbox and then pay another extortionate £15 to transfer it. Instead, I'm just gonna level one (again). This will be the 4th or 5th Priest I've levelled, I like them a lot. I love healing classes and I've had one of every kind other than Priest at 85 now so I thought I'd try it out again.
