Double DPS tend to work out better with the right setup, in my case as a retribution pala I get one more CC which plays a big role in double dps setups and making mistakes that would mess up your CC would most likely end up with a loss compared to if you play healer and DPS where you can easily recover from a mistake if you play safe but you miss out CC. It just comes down to combinations.
and yeah owning in low ratings is a lot of fun, but when progressing in higher rating that's where it gets most fun and rewarding.

GW2 is nothing like WoW, I wouldn't stop playing WoW to play GW2 because they're completely different. GW1 didn't kill WoW, Star Wars didn't kill WoW, none of these shit Korean MMO's have killed WoW either. Seriously, it isn't going to happen. Like people have said for years, the only thing that will kill WoW is WoW.
GW2 was fun in open beta I just have no idea what they plan to do for long term content. Yeah it doesn't have a sub fee but I still don't want to spend $60 just to level something to 80 and do the same 6 dungeons over and over. PVP sucks too right now but I guess that's to be expected.
MoP is the more reliable choice imo.
I have a full heirloom cloth set ready to level a new character with, but I'm stuck between making a mage or a warlock. I know very little about both of them, but I did play the two up to level ~25 during vanilla WoW.

mage if you want to win in low level battlegrounds, warlock if you want to do insane dps in raids
warlock is the more difficult of the two to play, but neither are particularly hard

The way I see it is to pick the best of both worlds, considering GW2 doesn't have a sub model, I can just plan both if I want.

Seeing as it doesn't have a subscription I've got no problem with buying it, I'm pretty sure I'll get my money worth out of it just by levelling up, which lets be honest will be more fun than levelling to 90 in WoW.

I don't know. I didn't feel a sense of direction when I played Guild Wars 2's beta weekends. WoW leads me and always gives me a [B]surplus[/B] of quests, while in Guild Wars 2 they had those events, which while cool, just didn't feel the same.

I really liked the events. I just think now I'm so bored of the way quest work in wow I'm on like autopilot when doing them while watching tv.
