So... this talent thing is really kind of confusing... Basically, which is the new PvE spec for Warr, arms or fury? I've heard everyone say arms but honestly I have no idea how to set up an arms warr talent-wise in the MoP talent tree.
Talents are all shared afair from PTR, choosing your spec just changes which abilities you have. It's why fury warriors are able to cast bladestorm while wielding dual two handers. If they changed it then im completely wrong but I don't think they did.
For some odd reason i can play WoW for an hour or so then i get disconnected what the hell? is this happening to anyone else?
Anyone here think the new talent system sucks? I liked the old way; where you got a new talent or upgrade every level or two.
The new talent system is extremely complicated I have to say. I don't know which one to choose since it's quite difficult and I don't want to go to my class trainer again just to change it to something. I like the abilities though, removing all the no-needed spells for each spec.
Anyone here think the new talent system sucks? I only hope arms warriors aren't gunna be shit because I don't think i want to play fury.
So... this talent thing is really kind of confusing... Basically, which is the new PvE spec for Warr, arms or fury? I've heard everyone say arms but honestly I have no idea how to set up an arms warr talent-wise in the MoP talent tree.
The new talent system leaves you to choose a lot for yourself based on personal preference, far removed from 4.3.4 in that most tiers won't leave you with a significant dps loss if you decide to put a point in something that seems interesting rather than '1% damage to Stare Angrily' or something. I personally use Juggernaut/Second Wind/Disrupting Shout/Dragon Roar/Mass Spell Reflect for Fury, and the same with Impending Victory for Arms. I believe testing has determined Impending Victory is superior for PvE dps (as it is more reliable than Second Wind if you remember to push it, and people are saying 'if you're dropping below 35% in PvE it's a wipe' which i disagree with, situationally) but, again, it's largely up to personal preference. I feel as if the only two talent tiers which will directly affect your dps in PvE are 60 and 90. As for PvP I would currently go for either Shockwave or Dragon's Roar, Second Wind for your heal (it really makes a difference - only reason i beat a frost mage earlier is because of this thing ticking over every time i was below 35%), and Piercing Howl for that AoE slow. However, you may play differently, require different mechanics than I do, and prefer other things - and the new talent system allows you to, say, go for the AoE interrupt or Bladestorm without screwing over the rest of your abilities. Play with each talent, play your character, and you'll figure it out naturally.
I only hope arms warriors aren't gunna be shit because I don't think i want to play fury.
Fury isn't as bad ('bad' is not the correct term, but i am unsure what to use as a replacement) as it was in 4.3.4 IMO. It feels like rage generation is more stable with my relatively bad gear and Wildstrike makes for a better mechanic than 'slam is instant now'. It's very easy to stay enraged for RBs, and the new Execute makes for some silly damage in Execute range. I haven't tested Bladestorm with Fury yet (as i'm using Dragon's Roar in both specs) but that seems like a fun mechanic as well. Not telling you "go Fury, stop playing Arms, blah blah", just saying it doesn't 'feel' the same way it did in 4.3.4. At any rate, Arms is certainly not 'shit' in any fashion. In PvE i seem to be topping DPS against everyone who isn't Heroic geared (i'm only 394 ilvl), and in PvP i'm still having lots of fun and can go toe to toe with certain classes i would've just walked past before. It's entirely possible that everyone i've been against is simply bad at PvP, and i don't pretend to be particularly good at it myself, so wait for someone who PvPs outside of random battlegrounds and the occasional arena for input on that. As it is, though, both Arms and Fury feel like they're in a good place.

New patch out, awesome. To anybody playing a hunter, have you guys noticed how every melee class prioritizes you in pvp?
New patch out, awesome. To anybody playing a hunter, have you guys noticed how every melee class prioritizes you in pvp?
Don't know much about the first part sorry but I have to say Hunters are OP in PvP in Mists. Mainly due to their range limit taken off.
Maybe because you (most usually) have high survival rate and high DPS so you need to be taken out after healers.. or something
Don't know much about the first part sorry but I have to say Hunters are OP in PvP in Mists. Mainly due to their range limit taken off.
I don't think they are OP, they're competitive. Just because someone can kill you in 1v1 doesn't mean they're overpowered. The range limit being removed certainly raises problems but it was rare for melee to stay up in a hunters face long enough for the range limit to seriously cause issues for the hunter anyway, unless they had help with roots/stuns from an outside source (but, of course, if you tied a mage down with as many CCs as you can without triggering DR anybody could probably faceroll them) and simply allows them to continue DPSing in the event that they catch a bad break with positioning. If you have to complain about hunters being overpowered the range limit removal is probably the worst argument for that. All it does is streamline the class slightly, which has happened to everything i've tried (note that i haven't actually played Arcane, Feral/Guardian, Assass/Sub, or Elemental yet so i can't comment on the complexity of those). I duelled a few hunters in full Cataclysmic on my warrior as Fury and it might just be that Warriors are overpowered or something (which is entirely possible as i have not duelled a warrior on anything but my warrior and have not received input from people who have) but when against all 3 (who all happened to be BM) it seemed fairly easy to drop the pet to Execute range, which translates into an instant kill now as Ferocity and Cunning pets seem a bit easier to drop than they used to be. After that it turns into a game of whether or not the hunter can hit me hard enough before i start laying into him. I've held the strong conviction that no classes are overpowered until proven to be so in extensive testing with math to back it up for a long time, and I am still waiting on that testing to prove anything one way or another. From my personal experience the classes i have capped (warr, hunter, dk (frost is less than fun actually, too much downtime, i've just been playing Blood), almost ret pally) seem to be in an acceptable place and I'm interested to see how this xpac will turn out in terms of class balance once everything gets settled. I'm going to have people disagreeing with me and i'd love to hear some input from people with more pvp experience but i'm hesitant to call hunters OP.
Im loving all this pvpaladin stuff. Pretty much anything and everything I do slows people by 50%. Also, 5 holy power.
How long time does it usually take before the 10 day MoP trial period becomes available?
am i allowed to make pandas for free without buying MoP or was that all bullshit i want to play a panda because i've played every other race and getting to level 10 is one of the most hideously boring piles of shit i've ever endured

You need BC to make a BE or Draenei, you needed wotlk to make a DK and you needed Cata to make a goblin / worgen. But you don't need to actually buy it, you will be able to make a panda when the 10 day trial becomes available.

I'll have to look for it though. Have a blue post.

But not pandas.
No, we'll be able to make Pandas for free too.
Had to re-read the blue post. You'll be able to make pandas, but not monks, my bad.
elemental shaman is even more OP, liking it a lot. love how you can use treant form as a Druid now too
elemental shaman is even more OP, liking it a lot. love how you can use treant form as a Druid now too
Yeah, didn't like it when they changed it to a timed shift in Cata. It did have it's good points though, made it a hell of a lot better for times of dire need.
So they nerfed DS again by 5% and everything is OP now. One shotting every boss in heroic. How can you not?!
So they nerfed DS again by 5% and everything is OP now. One shotting every boss in heroic. How can you not?!
Who actually gives a shit about DS at this point. I wouldn't even bother wasting my time.
So they nerfed DS again by 5% and everything is OP now. One shotting every boss in heroic. How can you not?!
the xpac is a month from ending completely and your heroic DS gear is going to be largely irrelevant, who cares?
Any eurobros out there willing to give me a scroll of resurrection? Hit me up on steam. I'm all sorted out, thanks for the invites though :)
Anyone play on the Baelgun US Server?
Enjoying this new patch, there's some really exciting changes to the game. I wasn't looking forward to the new talents and class changes but now I've had a little play round with it I'm really happy with the changes. Doing 98k insta heals on my Holy Paladin.
Prot warrior leveling is insane right now. I'm blasting through the levels, slaughtering anything with ease.
Yeah I always pull as many mobs as I can. It's insane.
Lots of great changes this patch, but once more they made healers way too god damn powerful, and it's gonna be even more stupidly overpowered at level 90.. Seriously, I was able to literally tank a warrior and a death knight wailing on me while I was using the blue crafted pvp gear on my druid, healers can do way too much shit now, heal a group AND THEMSELVES, cc like crazy, have stupidly good mobility.. This is retarded, like healing wasn't already too easy? And did they really need to raise all interrupt cooldowns to 12 / 15 seconds? What, fakecasting was too hard or something? That's really my only 2 problems with the patch, not surprising though as Blizzard's never been able to properly balance casters in any of their games.
