Exclusively for the 360 or is it on PS3 too? I haven't turned on my 360 in 6 months now, I'm not even sure it still works. Also:
great game concept, but i would change the tipe of enemy , instead of ogers i put some kind of black soldier
It would be cool if there was something like different campaigns for different chapters. So, if you chose, say, Blood Angels, you would play as a squad of assault marines or Sanguinary Guard. Space Wolves would have you play as space vikings/furries. That'd make a change from all this ultrasmurf dickery.
What smells like jizz?
Dammit, only for console
I agree with him, this screams for the BLACK LEGION
Led by the ever Incapable Abbadon. Iron Warriors would be better, more fitting with Uriel Ventris having rather pissed off Lord Honsou. Though Orks would be a much needed relief supply of dark comedy. My perfect 40K FPS would be one that takes a lot of elements from Star Wars Republic Commando (Like the squad controls, which were awesome and the fact that you are wearing a helmet and you know it because the game screen is seeing through the visor etc etc) Though I think this is gonna be a 3rd Person Shooter.
Ultramarines could be a special case, there have been instances where only two space marines have been sent places. In The Killing Ground two space marines return from I believe it was the Eye of Terror after being banished for going against the Codex Astartes, they we're told they had to go into the eye of terror and do something, don't remember what.
Uriel and Pasnasius got sent on a death oath into the Eye of Terror and onto the planet of Medrenguard, The Killing Ground is on a completely different planet outside of the Eye of Terror.

gotta love Scott Mcneil
I think that instead of bashing this game we could be thankful they're actually making a probably decent Warhammer game. Sure there are the Dawn of War ones and all but we have yet to recieve a third-person action hack&slash game.
Where is my fucking Khorne? BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! But as it is, hopefully the soundtrack will be as badass as the trailer music, I really like epic metal stuff in trailers.
sorry guys, but i HARDLY see this game on a pc not saying it wouldn't be cool to have it on pc though
It's a third person shooter, how do you not see it on a PC. Yeah, Rayven. Stop nitpicking and be happy with what you got and besides, they might add contrails later on.

He is very charismatic, and managed to unite a broken nation/faction. Except when he gets involved with military stuff, he fucks up horribly.
Yeah, Rayven. Stop nitpicking and be happy with what you got and besides, they might add contrails later on.
If they can't do something as simple as a Bolter right, I'm sure they're gonna mess up on plenty other stuff too. Relic has NEVER done a Bolter right, in any of the games or expansions. Hell the muzzle flashes shouldn't even be as big as they are.
No one is really bashing the game, RayvenQ is just nitpicking, dude can't live without his bolter contrails.
More the fact that Botlers are misrepresented as generic machine guns/assault rifles.
I want more actual gameplay. But still, should be great. I hope.
He has no arms But on the point, at least they're represented as generic machine guns/assault rifles that blow orks into bloody chunks. Normal tabletop 40k doesn't represent them accurately, either. Are you going to write a letter to GW saying that they should make all space marine bolt weapons S6 AP3 rapidfire smallblast in all upcoming codices?
If they've all done them wrong, according to you, then who has done them right. what is there to define what the bolter should be?
So far in videogames, I don't know of any video games that have done it right, then again I haven't played every single one. The 20 or so years of background fluff. A Bolter launches a bolt round with a very small charge, just enough to make the bolt round clear the barrel (not enough to make a huge ass muzzle flare), at which point, the rocket motor on the bolt round itself fires, propelling the actual round and after an amount of time, the delayed reaction detonator arms, detonating the round within the target. They aren't bullets, as such, they are Rocket propelled, armour piercing, mass reactive (the delayed detonator) explosive rounds. Well the Standard ones are, then there's 9 others that differ on the end result (armour piercing and exploding) but they all function the same in the firing sequence.
But on the point, at least they're represented as generic machine guns/assault rifles that blow orks into bloody chunks. Adding smoke contrails to represent what they are wouldn't impede the game at all.
It's also a game, not THE ULTIMATE WARHAMMER 40,000 COMBAT SIMULATOR EVER.
I bet you also think C.S Goto novels are really good and super kewl.
Listen, if you have complaints about the bolters in this game, why don't you email Relic instead about bitching about them here?
Because this is a thread about the game, where funnily enough, I mentioned something in the posted video that I didn't like. Funny how one small point of something I didn't like is considered bitchy enough for countless people to jump on it.
Rayven is right, how hard would it be? They wouldn't lose anything by making the bolters a bit different from the standard, boring pewpew machinegun. And no WH40k game has ever done it right (and I've played all of them) except for FW.

This looks so much better than Gears 3. A shit load of fun is abound. The game might not be the greatest but I don't care so long as I am having fun. Right now though it looks way too bright and saturated for the universe.

It's not like bolter mechanics were suddenly sprung up overnight, that info has been around for a good decade at least, up to even two decades.
Does it really matter? It's like if when Half Life Ep1 was released and Kleiner wasn't wearing his glasses and they never explained why they were gone. Sure, you would probably go "Where the heck are his glasses? He isn't Kleiner without his glasses!" but at the end of the day it doesn't matter because it doesn't really affect anything.

Think if Ep.3 made the crowbar only throw-able (no melee) and the gravity gun that fired a laser beam instead of lifting stuff (making it just another laser gun).

A smoke trail doesn't change anything.

A better one would be "imagine if they made the blasters in a Star Wars game shoot bullets" or something.
