Being Unsung Heroes. Most of them may be bad fighters but considering they're poor, poorly trained and poorly led with less equipment I can understand. Considering the civvies don't give a fuck about them and only the Space-Marines.
That's the basic gist I got from the RTS games though. That the Space Marines are super humans and the Imperial Guard are average joes. Fighting Orks takes balls, fighting them as an average person takes twice as many.
They're just humans. They aren't poorly trained or poorly led. Cadian regiments in particular are the most equipped of all of the IG, yet they're still humans, and they'll still get killed by the superhuman. For this game, it's a hack and slash kill 100000 orks sort of game, so no, IG wouldn't be better. For a game like SW: Battlefront 2, sure.
Imperial Guard logic: NOT ONE STEP BACK, COMRADES!
Anyway, what I want to see is an epic-scale strategy game. Like a WH40K: Total War or something, hundreds of thousands of units fighting on a planet.
They're supposed to be like the WW2 era Soviet Army, so yeah. :P

Also, I think it was Sanguinius who got his shit annihilated, and I don't think Horus every really ascended to daemonhood in the Heresy. Chaos gave him a fuckton of power, but he was in no way, shape or form, a daemon.
Yeah. Poor Blood Angels Primarch. He was the Emperor's second favorite after Horus.
:smugissar:
Do you think the Marines in this will actually have an animation for looking down the weapon (I know the weapon wouldn't be in the shoulder due to the lack of stock and giant shoulder pads)?
There's something I find irritating about the WH40K universe is that, for the majority of the time, everyone seems to stand out of cover and fire wildly from the hip.
they don't need cover they are tanks
Gaunt's Ghost are badass, I started reading the books years ago. Though I kind of lost the point.
I hardly remember anything, although the Sniper Mkoll was badass.
yeah they are
badass imp guard
[editline]07:50PM[/editline]
Imperial Guard is better imo.
like someone told me on steam
With imperial guard you get badasses like bruce willis
with space marines you get guys like john cena

Sanguinius was simply killed by Horus.
Horus was completely annihilated by the Emperor.
The civil war was like a twisted version of the Bible story where Lucifer falls from heaven.
Horus (Lucifer) splits the forces of heaven (Imperium) and starts a war to take the throne of the Emperor (God). He reaches the palace, and kills Sanguinius (Michael, except in the Bible story Michael cast Lucifer to hell), then Horus fights the Emperor, and the Emperor skullfucks Horus, and getting extremely tired in the process.
Also, I think it was Sanguinius who got his shit annihilated, and I don't think Horus every really ascended to daemonhood in the Heresy. Chaos gave him a fuckton of power, but he was in no way, shape or form, a daemon.
He nearly was a daemon with all of the power he recieved, and Ollanious got ret-conned for a Terminator first, and then a Custodes which is dumb.
He nearly was a daemon with all of the power he recieved
So you're saying the Emperor is nearly a daemon?
So you're saying the Emperor is nearly a daemon?
Yes he is indeed, he wants to rule over mankind as a God.
Brb someone's nocking at the door.
I would like a secret campaign (short is OK) where you play as a choas marine of Khorne. I want to see how society (if you can call it that) exists inside the immaterium.
Also Waagh!s. I want real-time Waagh!s.
Yes he is indeed, he wants to rule over mankind as a God.

He never wanted to be a god, but man turned him into one. But he was pretty godly.
I also have another idea.
Simcity: 40K

The disasters that could happen to your city would be nuts: Random Waaagh, warp storm, Genestealer uprising

Tornado! Your Hive city has been destroyed. Genestealer cults, riots, plague...That sounds brilliant.

fixed
I'm eagerly waiting for this ever since I saw it.
I don't like the fact that they're SMurfs.
At least the MMO has Black Templars.

On a side note, I'm reading the Horus heresy, today I'm getting the 4th one, The Flight of the Eisenstein, but what I wonder is which is the last book on the "main series"? Because the rest of the books are side stories and I seriously doubt I'll get all of them (atleast for some time)

I don't think the main plot has ended in the books yet
Also I'd recommend you get fulgrim at some point if you haven't gotten it yet it's my favorite book in the series.

I'd say he is godly, the Chaos gods (and any other gods in the warp) shat bricks when he "deleted" Horus. Also didn't the Emperor defeat and trap the Void Dragon?

So isn't Emperor most powerfull being in Warhammer 40k universe?
So isn't Emperor most powerfull being in Warhammer 40k universe?
Kind of but when all 4 chaos gods have put all of their power into one person that one person should be a match for the emperor
I'd say he is godly, the Chaos gods (and any other gods in the warp) shat bricks when he "deleted" Horus. Also didn't the Emperor defeat and trap the Void Dragon?
He is Godly, but obviously Chaos as a whole can counter his power (plus he is crippled) because if they couldn't, Chaos would have been destroyed already. :P
[editline]02:20PM[/editline]
Also the C'Tan and other gods haven't been seen enough in battle to determine whether the Emperor can defeat them, etc.
Also, whatever the fuck the Tyranids are running from.

Games Workshop runs their galaxy too, they're looking for a universe where the plot is advancing. Too bad they ran straight into 40k.

Yes. In the 40k universe, the Emperor is St. George.
Games Workshop runs their galaxy too, they're looking for a universe where the plot is advancing. Too bad they ran straight into 40k.
Your words don't make sense to me
Yes. In the 40k universe, the Emperor is St. George.
Which means he is pretty damn powerful, to defeat the Void Dragon, the most powerful of the Star-Gods and that has existed since the creation of the universe (plus it's ought to be pretty big, considering it eats stars).
Your words don't make sense to me
The whole 40k story just doesn't seem to ever be advancing it's like it's frozen in it's current state, the Emperors been dying since forever it's about time something major happened.
So isn't Emperor most powerfull being in Warhammer 40k universe?
In the material universe, yes (since he defeated and enslaved the only contender to that title). In the warp, I don't know (he is going to be once he becomes the Starchild though).
I'd say he is godly, the Chaos gods (and any other gods in the warp) shat bricks when he "deleted" Horus. Also didn't the Emperor defeat and trap the Void Dragon?
Star Dragon? C'tan? What're those?
Isn't Void dragon under mars in some labyrint or some shit like that?
