Isn't Void dragon under mars in some labyrint or some shit like that?
Yes.
I don't like the fact that they're SMurfs.
At least the MMO has Black Templars.
Which will cause massive outcry from fans. The only right way to do an MMO will to make the Marine's character customization be mostly the armor / chapter colors.
And the Void Dragon under Mars is a rumor in the 40k universe... I think
The Void Dragon is most definitely under mars.
There are also rumors that it's also the machine god.
Wouldn't it also be linked to all of the Mechanicus, through their implants?
Guys read mechanicus fuck
The whole 40k story just doesn't seem to ever be advancing it's like it's frozen in it's current state, the Emperors been dying since forever it's about time something major happened.
I like it. But yeah, Tyranids' enemy are going to come eventually. Or the C'Tan do somethin wild and crazy.
I really didn't understand what he said though. Like, the English.
I plan to spend the entirety of my time playing this screaming "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!" Any one else with me?

I'm not all that informed of the 40k Backround but the God Emperor is still alive, right with machinery and all. Does he function or is he just in a coma? Beyond that, who killed him? Horus?
I'm not all that informed of the 40k Backround but the God Emperor is still alive, right with machinery and all. Does he function or is he just in a coma? Beyond that, who killed him? Horus?
He's in some sort of coma, but his mind seems to be still working, since he basically holds up the entire Imperium with his powers (if he let go, all communications, warpjumps and a lot of other stuff would cease to function). If I remember correctly, he is also holding the universe together, hindering the Chaos from causing big warp rifts all over the place.
Horus mortally wounded him, to make it short, the Emperor doesn't want to kill Horus because he was like a son to him, allowing Horus to wound him, when he sees Horus flay an unlucky custodes who happened to walk into the room, he understands that he is beyond salvation and pretty much deletes him from existence (destroying not only his physical form, but his warp form as well, which by all the laws of the WH40k universe should be completely impossible).
The Emperor fucking obliterated the bejesus out of Horus.
Let me explain in words how much is left of Horus:
I can't wait for the day when we get one or more games in which the main puppet(s) of the show aren't the damn Space Marines, I've had enough of them, as if they were the "good guys" of the entire WH40K franchise. Why not a game with a single-player (or multi-player) campaign with the Chaos forces instead? Or... hey... what about the Imperial Guards? Or... hmmm, the Eldars?! I don't know... you know, kinda some missions like in DoW1 and DoW2 but without the darn Space Marines.
Why not making a campaign about the events leading to those of the original DoW campaign? A prequel, on the point of view of the Eldars of Biel-Tan and Farseer Macha, and would explain in better details why she allies with Gabriel Angelos to face a common foe, until in the end it couldn't be sufficient enough and the Maledictum was oh so brilliantly destroyed by an equally ignorant and indifferent human behind the so called great captain. But noooooooo... they make games for and about Space Marines.
Why not making a campaign relating some of the events of the Hive Fleet Kraken and how Farseer Eldrad basically chose to let a million Human lives perish to save 10,000 Eldar lives during the Second War of Armageddon. Why not a campaign about the Tau Empire and their recent face-to-face with a Necrons fleet? Or what about a campaign about the Tau saving the Kroots' arses. The other races have always been filler material for multi-player skirmishes and tournaments or very boring campaigns with very little focus on them (Soulstorm is the best example).
Nope, because we all know that In The Grim Future There Is Only Space Marines. I'll be interested by a game called Warhammer 40,000: Fell Powers, or Warhammer 40,000: Horus Heresy, or Warhammer 40,000: Gork & Mork, or Warhammer 40,000: Craftworld. I'll pass the damn Space Marines.
Also, whatever the fuck the Tyranids are running from.
Wat.
No seriously. The Tyranids are running from something? I thought their reason for going from galaxy to galaxy is that they consumed everything in their own. I've never heard of anything making them run.
Awesomeness!!!!

I believe a Brother-Captain noticed that it seemed that the Hives were running away from something where they used to live.

Enslavers maybe? Those things simply came, enslaved the galaxy and then vanished. It's the only thing I'd imagine chasing away the Tyrranids (not that other races can't, it's just that none of them are in that other galaxy). Unless Chaos is up to something.
That's insane. There have been only what? 3 Hives in the 40k galaxy? And each time they invaded, they almost destroyed the entire galaxy in the process. What the fuck could possibly be so dangerous that they would make something that horrifying flee?

I'm pretty sure they just fly from galaxy to galaxy, devouring all biomass they find before moving on.

That's what I thought.
Who knows. Maybe the whole concept of them running from something was just a dead-end plot or whatever.

I have not read the newest codexes but apparantly a space marine captain suggest that it appears the tyranids were running form something.
Dont quote me on that though.
IIRC, Game Workshops said they were going to introduce a new race to Warhammer 40k, I think it might be the race that the Tyranids are running away from.

That's kinda the point.
I'm thinkin' all the races in the world are gonna bro it out and fight together!
Probably not. :P

Ugh I hope not. It's not like there aren't any powerful races that can be used as main threat (Orks when they don't fight eachother, or Chaos when the gods stop stabbing eachother in the back for example).
Unless it's a race that already is in the lore, but has never been used in miniatures (Old Ones, Enslavers and so on).

Kraken, Behemoth, Leviathan, Jormungandr, Moloch, Colossus, Tiamet, Ophidia, and Hydra. Way more than 3.

I heard that rumor in the "Warhammer 40k Movie" thread that was up a while back, which rapidly became a sort of unofficial Warhammer 40k discussion thread.
