Also, the first picture makes no sense, because if the bandaged man [I]was[/I] scarface, then why does BB have gray hair while in the GZ version he has brown hair?

Ok, I'm obviously a bit late, but I JUST watched the new trailer. Been reading the thread though.
I absolutely love how well they have captured the intensity of emotion of what's going on through the animation. The graphics are so fucking amazing (at least to me)!
I thought MGS4 did a superb job capturing the feeling of the battlefield. The sense of risk when sneaking around. But this is pretty mindblowing.
It's quite a different contrast of showing in compared to the official Ground Zeros trailer, but it also seems like an improvement as well.
It's a bit tricky to tell if any part of the GZ trailer was actual gameplay, and not just a cinematic rendering. But Looking at the 2006 trailer for MGS4, a lot of it was gameplay, just displayed in a cinematic way. But this Phantom Pain trailer almost undoubtedly has some gameplay being displayed.
Makes me wonder how close we are to its release.
We started hearing about Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance not all that long ago, and that is coming out in February.
the gz trailer had a bit of gameplay in it. it just fluidly transitioned from cutscene to gameplay.
