THIS JUST IN:
Kojima has reversed the effects of the Mayans and has saved the world, thanks to his Metal Gear Solid series.
THIS ALSO JUST IN:
Hideo Kojima is actually Snake. The Metal Gear Solid series is really a biography of his endeavors on the battlefield.
Seriously if the MGS series isn't the greatest thing to happen to gaming tell me what is.
still can't find it.
and it actually had kojima in it too. he joined up with them in the second half
So basically Kojima is a genius.
A genius who is probably snorting crystal meth, but a genius none the less.
I sort of hoped the series would die after 4, rather than just milking prequels. Peace Walker was amazing and Ground Zeroes/The Phantom Pain/MGS5/whatever-the-hell-we've-seen looks fantastic. I feel enthusiastic about the series' future now, if only Kojima would direct a game taking place after MGS4 so Revengeance and its possible sequels don't dictate the future period Metal Gear.
Would anyone be interested in a stream of MGS4? Like right now.

I think at some point they should start doing side stories set within the same universe.
Or The Boss' missions with the Cobra Unit.
anyone else think the graphics look a hell of a lot like MGS4 and not nearly as nice as the first ground zeroes trailer?
kojima said the grey hair in the second picture was due to the lighting.
there's no way the lighting can make brown a light grey, no way at all. kojima is bullshitting again
[editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
the two trailers just being different chapters in the game makes so much sense
anyone else think the graphics look a hell of a lot like MGS4 and not nearly as nice as the first ground zeroes trailer?
Its the setting.
[editline]8th December 2012[/editline]
Also, the clothes have that style that MGS4 had.
Its just the way they look, you know what i mean, its sort of hard to describe.

I think I remember Kojima showing interest in that. The Boss would be great to play as, they could do an epic story with her, but what worries me is how her companions could spoil it by jumping in all like "GO MY BULLET BEEEEEES".
Would anyone be interested in a stream of MGS4? Like right now.
Sure
I've got nothing better to do right now
Would anyone be interested in a stream of MGS4? Like right now.
Ya it'll be neat to see how other people play through the game.

ground zeroes is a different game from mgs5 zzzzzzzzzz

Kojima never said that.
He said it was a prologue.
Most likely its a chapter.

just because it's a prologue to mgs5 doesn't mean it'll be a chapter. if anything they're 2 different games. it's similar to how peace walker is a prologue of gz.

It doesn't really make sense that they announce 2 different games that close to eachother.
they announced gz in 2011.
and plus everything in the phantom pain trailer looked to be pre-rendered on the fox engine which wouldn't take that much of an effort to do as a side project just to hype it up.
That's pretty close. Especially showing two trailers just a few months between each other.
It doesn't really make sense that they announce 2 different games that close to eachother.
Sure it does, release Ground Zeroes next year and MGS 5 the year after, they two would probablyhave mostly te same art assest and voice actors so it'd be easy enough to start development on MGS5 while Ground Zeroes is nearing the end of it's development cycle.
Or Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are both parts of MGS 5. But if that was th case why was Ground Zeroes announced as Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, when Phantom Pain 'slots' for Metal Gear Solid V above it?
like i said, gz and mgs5 are 2 different titles.
like i said, gz and mgs5 are 2 different titles.
i dont know how you can know that for sure
would be funny if ur wrong!!
by the way the whole whale thing probably stems from kojima's fascination during the creation of mgs2 of pinocchio where all the rooms were named after organs in arsenal gear.
so wouldn't that mean the whale represents arsenal gear?
probably not but who knows!

The best part of that is that Hideo actually has some tactical training from when he was researching the AI (Actuall AI, not arsenal gear)for MGS2.
i just think it's funny when everyone's looking at him like
what's that fat cyclops in tacticool vest crawling under the bench for?!
ground zeroes is a different game from mgs5 zzzzzzzzzz
I think GZ will be a prequel to MGS5 the same way the tanker was a prequel to MGS2- not two seperate games.
Announcing two separate games this close to each other seems a bit strange I dunno. And Kojima has said how GZ is "a game with no Game Overs" so maybe the psychological aspects of MGS5 is what will tie that together.
