I'm thinking the guy with BB in Phantom Pain could be Roy Cambell given they worked together during Portable Ops. He's the only guy who would seemingly address Boss as a soldier given they both had very similar military careers. At least he's the only person I can think of who would do that, could be just a new character.
I'm in awe right now, I just finished MGS3.... I wasn't really feeling it until [sp] EVA explained The Boss' story, suddenly my brow furrowed and I felt terrible.[/sp] Holy shit.
they announced gz in 2011. and plus everything in the phantom pain trailer looked to be pre-rendered on the fox engine which wouldn't take that much of an effort to do as a side project just to hype it up.
Huh? It was announced just a few months ago.
Huh? It was announced just a few months ago.
No, the trailer was released just a few months ago, it was announced long before that.
Possibly, the phantom pain can also be a beginning chapter to mgs 5.
No, the trailer was released just a few months ago, it was announced long before that.
I'm always keeping up with the latest news so how I missed that I have no idea. [editline]9th December 2012[/editline] It appears the latest MGS was announced in 2011, which I knew. The name Ground Zeroes wasn't announced until a few months ago, right?
no matter what this game is it looks cool as shit also i need to play mg1 and 2 are they worth my time
are they worth my time
The 1st one. Play it on commodore, trust me.
no matter what this game is it looks cool as shit also i need to play mg1 and 2 are they worth my time
In my opinion, not really. MGS has a lot of references to them, and you can read the summaries of them in the MGS database. But, if you're in to 80s games, have fun with them. I couldn't get in to them. I played for like 30mins on MG, then just got so bored I stopped. It's ironic though because I'm okay with Wolfenstein and stuff. I guess I just have such a high standard from playing MGS in 3D instead of 2D that it's hard to step back. It's like playing GTA IV then playing the first 2.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joakim_Mogren That picture, that talk page. It's perfect.

Oh god that Twitter account is hilarious:
The goal of the game is to teach that it is wise to be wise.

All I can tell you is that water guns will play a crucial story element.

Your moustache is awesome! Any tips on how to grow one so cool?
Step 1: Eat lots of protein Step 2: Get lots of calcium Step 3: Eat lots of protein
How are the PS3 ports of MGS1/2/3/Peace Walker? If I ever get a PS3 I would definitely want to pick up this series, but not if the ports are shite.
How are the PS3 ports of MGS1/2/3Peace Walker? If I ever get a PS3 I would definitely want to pick up this series, but not if the ports are shite.
Port isn't really the word I would use for them. They are more like remasters. The control schemes are virtually the same, save Peace Walker. Peace Walker is obviously a tad bit different than the PSP version. MGS3 got a camera upgrade. You can play with it old style, or with full maneuverability like in MGS4. All you have to do to switch between them is click L3 (or R3...which ever one is used to control the camera).
How are the PS3 ports of MGS1/2/3Peace Walker? If I ever get a PS3 I would definitely want to pick up this series, but not if the ports are shite.
MGS1 isn't in the HD Collection. You can buy the original version off of the PSN Store, though. The HD versions of MGS2, MGS3, and Peace Walker are pretty much the definitive versions. Updated visuals, 60 FPS, trophies, etc. It's a great package.
Just started replaying MGS 4 (stopped on ACT 2 because of boredom). I didn't realize I could actually be stealthy on the first few acts since I shot everything up when I played last time. Weird though that I had to look up CQC commands. Laughing Octopus scared the shit out of me for a boss fight... [sp] Until I learned that you can just RPG her as much as you want [/sp]
Laughing Octopus was such a pain in the ass to tranq, especially when I found out the hard way that the rolling ball attack she does can kill you if you have half health and the only way to avoid it is to climb on top of something.
How are the PS3 ports of MGS1/2/3/Peace Walker? If I ever get a PS3 I would definitely want to pick up this series, but not if the ports are shite.
just play the originals, they've aged well and they're cheaper
just play the originals, they've aged well and they're cheaper
That's assuming I would have something to play them on.
Plus if you are in the united states, most gamestops and gaming retailers have stopped carrying PS2 games, both new and used.
laughing octopus was the hottest one [editline]10th December 2012[/editline] plus her backstory was the best too
The BB's felt too much like fan service so I could barely take them seriously. I still don't understand why they were borderline pole dancing when out of the shells.
because their brains and mental status are fried.
crazy chicks are hawt
If Kojima released GZ on PC he just might go up a notch beyond Gabe in my book.
