because you pilot a mech and you fight mechs???
i don't even know how you could call a fruity exosuit that's as agile as a demon a mech.
either way the fact that your character is in an exosuit doesn't change anything. you could probably replace all the models in the game with dante and demons and there wouldn't be much of a difference.
a mech is a bipedal tank. not some giant humanoid extension. at least to me.
tech that's way too far out even for MG.
Sentient AI in the 70's.
Giant robot death tanks in the 60's.
Most of the tech in MGS4, which is set 4 years earlier.
New pics from Fox engine showing how scanned items looks apparently (this time the lunchbox that was given to Kojima by Sony)

So when's that new Famitsu coming out?
So Kiefer Sutherland is the burnt man from Ground Zeroes then? Because there's absolutely no mistaking his voice at the "On your feet, Soldier!" part of the Phantom Pain trailer, and that guy's face is completely bandaged up.
If that's indeed the case, then I won't lie; as a 24 fan, I am definitely on board.

There's like three cyborg ninjas in he entire series, and there is not a single game with more than one of them, they're obviously not common.
Still, let's wait until the game is actually released until we begin judging it, eh?

I wonder why they keep using an office setting. Perhaps it will be part of a map? Maybe Snake will go undercover as a office worker and we get to see him spill coffee, yell at printer jams, etc. ?

If I remember right, that office is a copy of one of their own offices, and they used it to compare the graphics of the engine with real world pictures of the same place.
New 'alternate cut' of the Phantom Pain trailer.

So I'm bored and playing through MGS2 for my first time and I've decided to do an LP of it
But not in the traditional sense
Welcome to the Twitter MGS2 LP
https://twitter.com/search/realtime?q=%23mgs2lp&src=hash
updated whenever I play this, when I finish it I'll move on to MGS4 or 3 depending on if I want to replay 3 again or not

Not bored playing MGS2, just bored when the idea to do this popped into my head
Hmmm. Just beat the PW torture mission. Piss easy compared to every other button mashing sequence in the series.
Getting out of the jail was cool.

The ONLY one comparable to it was solidus' choke hold, da fuck you talkin about.
Last time someone brought up the torture scenes we didn't stop arguing about it for like 4 pages. Lets not do it again.
I just want to say, except for the first MGS (which i never got to play because instead of a playstation i had what could best be described as the worlds best blunt weapon-game console, the N64) Snakes revenge, the GBA game, and AC!D 2, I've played every metal gear, and that was the hardest button mash sequence i experienced.
How hard is the Solidus' chokehold sequence compared to other games? PC
I played it in the MGS HD Collection and I got it on my first try. MGS1's torture scene took me several tries.
Never played Peace Walker.
the solidus choke sequence in the hd collection was severely made easier than the original solidus choke sequence.
Mgs3 was easiest since you could cheat your way out of it (the original version)
I have a few points to make today.
First of all, beat the boss, and of course the game. That was spectacular, definitely my favorite of the series, great characters, boss fights, locations, the lot. The only thing was that the Fury got nowhere near as much time as anyone else, i honestly forgot he existed before i ran into him again. But besides that, great.
Due to it being Christmas, i binged a little. I managed to make it through shadow moses and beat liquid not once, but four times, and escape with Otacon due to me failing Ocelots torture.
I am currently at the point in sons of liberty after meeting Ames, and moments before running into the harrier.
After playing the earlier games again i realize things. For example that the Darpa Chief was Sigint i believe, and possibly that Dr. Clark was Para-Medic?
And Gray Fox lookalike, i know these guys were from a different time, but Deepthroat?
Not great when parents and young siblings are about.
I think they just didn't realise it had a different meaning,

you underestimate how much of a manchild hideo kojima is
Looks like some abomination made in the Spore Creature Creator.

fun fact: in mgs2 during the sequence where a soldier is pissing off the side of the deck, he proposed that during the first playthrough, when you looked up the soldier would be in a position that somebody would take when pissing off a ledge, and then on the second playthrough he suggested that instead the soldier took a dumping position so that the player would be shocked that they were gonna get dumped on, and then a stream of piss followed.
another fun fact: i forgot which game it was, either 1 or 2, but kojima suggested that the bgm be changed to the shower scene music in psycho in a level, and when you get closer to the door the music gets louder and then when you open it it's just a soldier playing the violin.

As mentioned by Snake, Deepthroat was the informant in the Watergate scandal. Maybe it was picked because it's silly though.

I started playing MGS2 on my PS2 for the first time a few days ago. I know from playing MGS4 that these games are supposed to pull some wild things but Vamp running on water was ridiculous

Well, if I remember right, it wasn't just any regular water. It was like super salty or super condensed water that would cause a normal human to drown instantly, but Vamp could walk over it because he has crazy blood or some shit. I don't really remember why. But I definitely was surprised by that scene.

You need to realize that LITERALLY every other game in the series bar the 2D installments have all sorts of supernatural shit that MGS4 really wanted to get rid of.
And yet still didnt get rid of psycho mantis and all of MGS3's supernatural bits.
