Fucking fuck VR Missions, I'm halfway done with all of Snake Tuxedo's and I hate missions with 20+ enemies and sniper only, I hate aiming with the left analog :I
[QUOTE=N-12_Aden;35028357]I didn't really find MGS2 to be a mindfuck.
Ok, thats unfair, because I played the others before I played 2 (due to my searing dislike of Raiden). If I played it back in '01, It would have skullfucked me.[/QUOTE]
When I first played it all those years ago when [sp]the Colonel goes batshit insane and then it's revealed that it was all just some sort of test,[/sp] it blew my fucking mind
[editline]7th March 2012[/editline]
Is the Snake Tale with the giant Gurlukovich soldiers included? Or does it need to be unlocked or something?
I first played MGS2 when I was like 11 or 12 and I was like "I don't get this BUT HOLY SHIT I BET IT'S SO FUCKING DEEP"

[sp] Use the FIM-43 Redeye, the ground-to-air missile launcher. [/sp]
My PS3 copy arrived today but I really need to finish Uncharted 3 first otherwise i'll never complete it. Can't wait to play MGS3 though!!!
Welp. Decided to take a crack at the [sp] Chrysalis[/sp] again while the [sp]Redeye[/sp] was in development. Ended up forgetting the law and taking it out with the M16. In the end I had spent all my supply markers, about 10 rounds left and another 1000 spent...and some 20 rations and curry. Did it though. Luckily I had c4 or the [sp] AI hatch[/sp] wouldn't have opened.

Actually I found machine guns to be a bit better because of it's counter measures.
I still remember playing Substance on the PC back then and getting to Arsenal Gear.
I had no fucking idea what was going on. It felt like some kind of VR mission from the future, with the floor lighting up when you stepped on it, all the metal gears, the weird arquitecture, the holograms, being naked, soldiers with high tech gear that fuck your shit up...
That plus the colonel going "lol raiden you are a tool, you lost" and having to fight a shitload of metal gears in a very weird place... Made me feel like an old person stalling everyone in the middle of the traffic.
Oh, and I quite liked it. Raiden was a little bitch, but it was fun because of the mindfuck and the whole purpose of everything in the story. (how it was all a test mirroring the Shadow Moses incident)
Holy fuck what an awesome game. I should play it again to get the dog tags but cba to look at lists right now.
So does [B]NOBODY[/B] have this for Xbox 360? I'd really like to play with other people. I tried to persuade my friends to get it but they don't even know what Metal Gear Solid is. I said this before, if anyone is up for a co-op game on Peacewalker on Xbox, I'm up for it.

Spoiler tags please? I never got around to beating mgs2 and you kinda ruined some major plot points.

I have it on 360
[editline]7th March 2012[/editline]
However, if you wish to coop with me, you must sacrifice a virgin S-Intel to the Johny 1337 god
I still can't imagine playing MGS on an Xbox controller, feels way too natural for me to be doing it on a sony controller. Plus the pressure sensitive buttons for everything must be a pain with the 360 face buttons, I don't remember them being so pressure sensitive back when I owned a 360.
[QUOTE=Doozle;35028014]I just completed MGS2 story, probably the fourth time I have done or something. I forgot how much of a mind fuck the ending is.
I'm still not quite sure what happened.[/QUOTE]
Happened to me too when it came out, just play it again with a wiser attitude. Special attention to the developement to MGS3 and 4.
I think Peace Walker could be a bomb, if it was developed, from the start, into a full blown console game.

The PS3's face buttons are not pressure sensitive either, that's why CQC was moved to the triggers with MGS4.
Also, all the pressure sensitive stuff from MGS3 and 2 were simply modified into button combos instead, and they work fine, I'm saying this is one whom's every other MGS game is on the Playstation
I'm pretty sure the PS3 buttons are pressure sensitive. I mean, if I press circle for CQC and then hold it halfway, it keeps the guy held but if I press it in it'll slit his neck.

I have it on 360, but I don't play it with anyone because everyone else has all this badass gear and I'm only on chapter 3 :c

I'm on chapter 3 too.
Odd, because my Dualshock 3's face buttons go from unpressed to all the way down instantly no matter how softly I try to press them, where as my DS2's buttons go down smoothly and slowly
[editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
Oh and any Xbox guys who need someone with good skill at MGS, add me on Xbox Live
I'll get the HD collection on 360 eventually

Good luck.
Out here they were sold out on PS3 copies (Console games aren't as popular out here to begin with) and I snagged the last Xbox copy they had here.
I can only imagine the same in the US. From what I know Konami barely even advertised it, and in turn probably didn't distribute as much.

Pretty much the same thing here in Canada. I got lucky enough to win 300 dollars on a ticket and I bought the collection. It was the last 360 version left, and I haven't seen any copies in the store for either console since then.
I got my copy for 360 off of Amazon for $30, and they still have copies of it on there.

I spoiled more by saying Arsenal Gear than by saying what you put in spoiler tags.
Maybe the last tagged thing aswell...

I actually got really freaked out at the part right after getting onboard Arsenal.
I almost followed up on the colonels advice to turn off the console.
It's pretty cool how they changed to dialog for Metal Gear 1 on the 360 version to match the console(at the end when [sp]Big Boss tells you turn off the console, he calls it the Xbox 360[/sp]. I almost expected them to neglect that detail.
Also I beat MG2 and found out I was playing on Easy the whole time. That explains why there were so many rations lying around.
[editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
Looking at the picture I saved of my stats, I guess I was playing on normal difficulty after all. Still doesn't explain why is says (EASY) at the top though.

This is absolutely insane, I got the last copy on the 360 from behind the desk at GAME!
Is this some kind of conspiracy?!?
