I got it on my first try by just equipping a ton of rations and tanking all the damage.
the one thing that is pissing me off the most about this fight is the random amounts of damage ill take like sometimes 1 missile will barely dent my health bar and them 1 time it takes about a ration and a half worth of hp. also it seems that sometimes ill take damage from getting stomped and other times ill just get knocked down

That happened to me constantly for a good 20 minutes. The problem is that if you enter phase 2 with quite bit more health or rations than last time, you get cocky.
Fuck me.

Remind me why the fuck PW doesnt have crawling and (i think) walking along a wall you're hugging again?
It would really be nice to prone with snipers and for hiding. I hope Ground Zeros combines the best of both games.
The Cooperative aspect of peace-walker and its mission-structure/Micromanagement really appeals to me. I think it gives the game replay value. The movement variety in MGS4 would improve peace-walker greatly.

MGS5 has crawling, it was in the ground zeroes video,
yaay finished mgs1 with the meryl ending, on to 4 now
