Not the same sword, the one in MGS4 was a Patriot issued one, and in MGR its one specially designed to easily cut through everything.

Though there i did notice that some of the pictures and the video with the gray fox skin have this sword:

So i assume that theres going to be other unlockable swords, so maybe the non-lethal mr. x sword will be in, who knows?

the [sp] snake vs liquid fight is pretty much the best moment in the metal gear series, i got the biggest fuckin grin when the health bars changed to naked snake and ocelot, snake eater started playing and ocelot did the hand gesture. i got chills down my spine when "you're pretty good" and he did the hand gesture.[/sp]

MGS4 was pretty good up until that point, not snake eater level but still good, but my god that was awesome.

He had a filter over his voice in MGS, so maybe, who knows?

And hey, in MGS4 they had extra animations for the altair outfit.

They just can't seem to decide if they want it to be super science or magic.
Fortune is like the perfect example of this, you go through most of the game thinking she has magic powers or something, and so does she, then it's revealed it's actually a technological doodad, and then it turns out that even though it actually was a technological doodad she also has magic powers or something.

I like the sort of combination of both. The never debunk MGS3's magic and they never say Psycho mantis isn't psychic, so maybe fortune is psychic. But the fact that the make Vamp powered by nano machines is dumb.

I am new to the series, but the MGS games surprised me in how I loved every goddamn one of them.

I just have MGS4 to go, probably will get it in a day or two.

dont get me wrong, i really loved every single one of them but for some reason i liked mgs 1 the least. the boss fights were the best and i really loved liquid but the story didnt really have as much impact on me as 3,2 and 4

Maybe it's just because I didn't play MGS1 when it came out, but it just felt really hard to play without any weapon in first-person or detailed models. The voice acting and music were top-notch and the action-stealth balance was definitely there that let me enjoy MGS2 or 3 but somehow I just didn't enjoy playing it.
