I don't like the fact that you don't play as Snake in the new game coming out, I like Raiden as a character but I prefer being stealthy and not being seen instead of running round with a sword slicing people in half. If i wanted to run round like a maniac going on a killing spree there are other games made just for that.
Its like you didnt read my post.
Also, this isnt a Snake game.
Thats why MGS: Ground Zeroes/MGS5 is being made.

Its so much easier to not explain it to people constantly and just show them this image:

Stealth Killing a Gecko is fun.
When the hell is the demo being released on the PSN?
I assumed Psn store was down due to them updating it. Yeah when?
[editline]22nd January 2013[/editline]
Wait i've got it.
Psn store updates between 3-6pm EST.
That's 9-11PM GMT.
So roughly now.
So what kinds of weapons do you get in MGR? Just swords seems like it would get boring
[del]Dead Space 3 demo is available, but I didn't see the MGR demo? Did I not look hard enough or is it still not there?[/del]
Found it
So what kinds of weapons do you get in MGR? Just swords seems like it would get boring
It seems like you'll be getting the Bosses weapons, from a gameplay video where it briefly showed the E'tranger thing Mistral uses.
Theres also different swords, like Gray Fox's sword (pre-order bonus)
There is a customization option for primary weapon, so yeah.
Also, theres sub weapons for grenades and rocket launchers, theres most likely going to be quite a few more.
where is the mgr demo on psn? i search for it but nothing came up and the "new ps3 demos" category was empty
where is the mgr demo on psn? i search for it but nothing came up and the "new ps3 demos" category was empty
Use Search to find it, that's how I got it.
Anyway, the demo for the game is pretty fun but unfortunately it seems like it might turn out to be another shoddy PS3 port. The game locked up on me twice during gameplay and I had to reset the console during those times.
Somehow I'm not surprised, the PS3 version of Bayonetta was also technically fucked compared to the 360 version.
Is the demo out on Europe PSN?
Got the demo.
Cut a tree in half.
Used the force push attack.
Tree started breakdancing.
Im going to fucking love this game.
Oh God I cannot parry for my life. I practically am just running around button mashing as well. I got the the weird IF Prototype boss battle thing and gave up because I could not do shit to damage it.
Game runs super smooth (pretty much constant 60fps), which is nice. The rendered cutscenes look like shit compared to the regular gameplay, and the free cutting mechanic is cool. But I probably will pass on this. If it's anything to compare to Bayonetta, which I really did not like after initially having high hopes for it, this is definitely not a comfortable MGS spin off.
Just from the little amount of game, I found so much shit to pick apart and get disappointed over. If this was a game on it's own, instead of being a MGS spin off, it probably would sit better with me. But I can't get over the psychological associations with it. I want it to be a Metal Gear game, but it just feels so wrong. A different class of game, a different style, a different interpretation. Unless I see more of the game that will change my mind otherwise, I remain unsold on this.
Started playing through MGS2 on Euro-Extreme again. I'd forgotten how much of a pain in the ass Olga was with that damn light.

Just shoot the light before she turns it on v:v:v
Just shoot the light before she turns it on v:v:v
Isn't it unshootable in extreme?
Isn't it unshootable in extreme?
Yeah, the light and the tarp become unshootable. Just gotta run from the little crates to the big crates and back and wait until she stands in the open to shoot the light.
Oh, sorry, never played on harder difficulties, damn, that's a tough one then.
Oh, sorry, never played on harder difficulties, damn, that's a tough one then.
I never did either, found it out from Chip and Ironicus the other night :v:
That's the thing about the higher difficulties in MGS games, while the sneaking around becomes a whole lot more intense and fun, the boss battles become such incredible pains in the ass.
I remember that through all 4 games i killed everyone important, except Olga (for obvious reasons), vamp, and Octopus, whom i stamina killed for some reason. Why? i have no fucking clue.

Don't they die anyways? I mean does it really make a difference if you fatigue them or kill them?
Other than getting a better rating in the end.
I never managed to stamina kill anyone in MGS2 but stamina killing them in MGS3 still has them dying and coming back when you fight against The Sorrow

Fatman explodes, vamp sinks in his pseudo-death anyway, not sure about Solidus, the Cobra have Microbombs and the B and B corps die if out the suit for too long.

So no.

Solidus gets his back sliced open, falls from a great height onto the statue of his role model George Washington, then becomes a burnt limbless vegtable, then burnt again and sunk on a boat.
Bitch to be him.

And in the novel/original version of MGS2 before 9/11, Raiden cuts the flag pole off and it lands on him.

Yeah that should have totally stayed.
I loved Solidus, he is built up to be the big bad man, until you realise that that's just what the Patriots want you to think.
Just completed the MGR demo twice.
I might just get around to buying this game.
Yay, demo on 50%, based on how far it's gotten i'd say it may be done by tomorrow night.

He's pretty much the good guy.
I mean, theres the whole "small boy unit" incident but im sure we can all overlook that.
Just finished the MGS series.
That ending.
