Gamestop clerks are weird. Got my preorder and the guy said "30% cash back if you return it in a few days... which I'm sure you'll do as that game is garbage."
Gamestop clerks don't know what they're talking about most of the time. Everytime I go there they try to heckle me into preordering the latest announced Call of Duty game. I DON'T FUCKING WANT CALL OF DUTY. I think there was one time I went to buy steam card codes and the chick behind the counter actually knew what I was talking about.
fucking gamestop

yeah, a guy at gamestop told me the same thing about Sleeping Dogs, and I loved that game. I think they just take mainstream reviews as fact.

Gamestop clerks don't know shit, don't trust them with anything.
Lol fuck that dude. Just beat the prologue chapter and it was fucking amazing. This game is gonna be great.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
the goddamn blade wolf fight is fucking hard
So the clerk claimed that the artbook was only for the limited edition but I'm seeing a lot of people say it also comes with the regular edition. Called up gamestop and he kept saying limited edition only. Should I send an email on the gamestop website or something? I was really looking forward to the book.
wasn't it a pre-order bonus for gamestop?
Ya I got the fox suit and blade and asked about the artbook. The dude said it was limited edition only, but I'm seeing some people online who got it with the regular edition. It was like the main reason I preorded from gamestop.
How the hell do I dodge attacks??
light attack + jump + direction
Holy shit why is the first enemy you fight in the sewers harder than any boss I've fought so far??

I preordered and got the fox suit and blade code, but it doesn't work yet because the code "isn't live yet". fuckin sucks.

I guess its a good thing i wont be able to pick my pre-order up till thursday :v:
Gray Fox is great.

If for some reason i dont get him (which would be bullshit) I'll probably cry myself to sleep after buying the MGS4 skin to compensate and masturbating to a picture of the Gray Fox skin.

The Gamestop guys at my town are pretty cool.
"Yeah, Aliens: Colonial Marines is pretty bad. We can take that money from your preorder and put it on another game, if you want."
"If you're looking for a USB controller for your computer, I'd buy the real Xbox 360 one, but we don't sell those, so maybe check Wal-Mart. The Gamestop brand USB controllers are pretty much garbage."
Also, if I haven't played a Metal Gear game ever, but I am planning to at a future date when I can sit down and just enjoy the series, would it be advisable to get Rising? I've been wanting a good hack-n-slash game for a while but I'm worried about it having spoilers from the other games. I guess I can expect some level of spoilers but how much of the story of the other games is revealed in Rising?
Rising contains pretty minor spoilers about the plot of MGS 4, and some callbacks to the plot of MGS 2 along with Raiden's backstory in said game.
For the most part any reference to past games amounts to name dropping.

you got jipped. The artbook is for all normal pre-orders as well. I had to remind the clerk at my gamestop about it, he was like "oh yeah" and got me my art book.
how do i do any kind of dash attack? you know one where i charge forward slashing. i've done it by mistake a bunch of times and it would be useful to do on command..
forward forward heavy attack

I think it was back + forwards + heavy attack.

Fuck.
I got to the jetstream sam fight but have it saved with 0 repair kits left at the start. Looks like I'll have to restart the whole game.
Are there any hidden in the stage? Seems like all there is to do is fight him.
dead rising 1 for example, still looks amazing compared to current release console games, runs in 1080i.
its still so confusing that it came out in 2006 or 7 or whatever and still looks better than 90 percent of games today (including its sequels!!!)

why are you using recovery items in the first place
may as well just tick it down to easy mode
Can you change difficulty mid game?
Can you change difficulty mid game?
Hmm...not sure, I haven't tried. I'd imagine you could.
I'll check for you right now.

it's because it was made by the japanese
they are competent and making video game
I'm really novice as far as this game goes. I used at least 3 kits on each boss, on normal.
You cannot change the difficulty mid-fight. You'll have to start the game from the first chapter on Easy in order to playthrough the game on that difficulty unfortunately.
Wow, Metal Gear Rising is amazing. I just picked it up today after work and have been playing it ever since.
My only concern is that there is no way to know how to use any of the move you unlock. I know they are all combinations of Forward-Forward-[]/Triangle or Back-Forward []/Triangle or 360-[]/Triangle, but it'd be nice to have an in-game tutorial on them (unless I missed something).
