Wow, Metal Gear Rising is amazing. I just picked it up today after work and have been playing it ever since.
My only concern is that there is no way to know how to use any of the move you unlock. I know they are all combinations of Forward-Forward-[]/Triangle or Back-Forward []/Triangle or 360-[]/Triangle, but it'd be nice to have an in-game tutorial on them (unless I missed something).
There's a move list in the options.

Hit start and go to the help menu.
forward forward heavy attack
na i need a midair dash... do we have a midair dash attack?
its still so confusing that it came out in 2006 or 7 or whatever and still looks better than 90 percent of games today (including its sequels!!!)
yeah, I don't know why capcom didn't just use the same engine. it was so smooth.
i could go for a GET OVER HERE chain hook thingy...
Monsoon's Sai has that functionality for the most part.
Are you able to change voices in the options menu? I really like the Japanese voice actors compared to the English ones. Sundowner's English voice actor is just... eughh
[sp] Having some real trouble with the final boss. He keeps killing me when I get him down to 150%. I just can't beat him. Got anytips? [/sp]

is there an air dash attack?
also the in-game timer seems to be a bit generous. i played the game for around the entire afternoon but it only clocked in like 45 minutes of gameplay. i did die a lot.
For anyone who is interested, you can replay any completed chapters of the game and retain the upgrades you have from your furthest completion, which is good for getting all the upgrades or some extra subweapon ammo for the later sections.
This game is amazing just because the developers KNEW how much of a pain in the ass it is in any game to be blocked by some shitty door the playable character could easily break, so they put breakable fences and doors everywhere. It's like they knew I'd enjoy the fuck out of cutting barriers and petty shit blocking my way. This alone is an argument for me to get the game.
Dumb question because I haven't followed the news much on this game but is it coming on PC ? I've heard it was but I don't know if it's true and when it's gonna happen.

They said they would consider it for PC.
Ah fuck it I'll just find it at a reasonable price for xbox at some point. Feels like the kind of game that wouldn't have any modding capacity (not like it needs it) and can only play nice on a controller, so might as well pick it up there.
When Monsoon is making his speech and you are in first person, the guard on the far right plays with a cat. I think the one on the far left does something too.
Holy shit this game is challenging.
ok, so the game WAS good, and it stayed at a pretty decent difficulty throughout, but then[sp]you have to fight that senator fuck, and it's fucking impossible I almost broke my damn controller[/sp] if anybody has a good strategy to fighting him, I will suck your dick. The thing that gets me is [sp]when he picks up the giant rock or whatever it is, and you have to slice it in blade mode really fast[/sp]
a cool upgrade for the sword would have been able to put underslung attatchments on it you select as your secondary weapon...
shotgun, grenade launcher.. maybe even a sub machine gun. that would have been boss. either ammo is plentiful or the weapon doesn't do much damage and doesn't stack combos as easy as normal blade attacks, but it could work.

Are you high?
my god is the concept of a gun blade really not that awesome
and yes
also how do i make L'Etranger into a whip? err.. is there some way of switching between it being a normal staff and a whip staff or something?

I don't see why that is such a ridiculous idea for a game where the main antagonist uses an M-16 as the scabbard for his katana.

Because the game is based around swordplay, having attachments wouldn't work because the sword is vibrating at insane speeds. It would literally just cut through whatever attachments you put on it. Why the fuck would you even put attachments on a sword? That's like strapping a grenade launcher to a combat knife, it doesn't make any sense.

HF Blades: Can cut anything other than other HF blades.
Make the attachments out of HF blades.
What's the difficulty difference between normal and hard? I've been blazing through on normal and have one shotted every boss so far.

Gotta love OP Pre-Orders
I'm not using the foxblade that shit is expensive and I got fuel cells to upgrade.

The bosses are really easy to parry. Especially when they spam attacks cuz you can just spam parry and you're practically invincible.
Is MGS3D worth the 40 dollars? I've never played MGS3 before, and the portability looks nice as long as no content is cut.
