Maybe the HD collection doesn't have that for some reason. Also, is it just me or is it impossible to sneak up on sentries on Snake Eater? I'm walking as slow as fucking possible and they still turn around when I get close... Snake Eater is just making my mad.

FUCK i totally forgot about the dpad i resorted to crawling the last 100 feet up to The End when I was in that battle
Does MGS3 HD have the crouch walking like the 3D version does?
Does MGS3 HD have the crouch walking like the 3D version does?
Nope.
Nope.
That's sad. It really helps in the 3D version. Just beat MGS1 in 2:28:53. Even while skipping the cutscenes and codec messages it still adds on about 30 minutes.
Got to use the D-pad bro. Took me ages to figure out.
100 deaths laters... Thanks.
No kill is easier then it sounds, no alert is hard as fuck. Kerotan's are an enormous pain in the rail parts of the game, make sure to save alot if you want to make sure to get them all. And use this guide. Also dependent on difficulty, you may want to look around and gather alot of suppressors for the hushpuppy, and go for the Mosin when you get to The End. http://darthscreencapture.com/MGS3/k2.html Click on each one for a picture of where it is on where it is on the map.
I got a single alert so far by accident at the beginning of Operation: Snake Eater, but i'm near the warehouse without a single kill, and only that one alert. I tried to use CQC on a guy and instead of me knocking him out before he would notice, it went right to alert but for a few seconds and went right away after i put his ass on the ground, am i fucked on my no alert?

On a related note, does it count as a kill if i tranq a guy and he falls of the bridge in Dolinovodno?

Just finished the Tanker chapter in MGS2 with no continues, 1 alert and 1 kill. In the engine room I pressed the wrong button and punched somebody off of the edge instead of holding him up. Got nearly every other dog-tag though.
I wanna do a playthrough doing this as much as possible.
So PW has co-op? Wouldn't mind playing with any of you if you guys are up for it. Which console do the majority of you guys have it on? [editline]March 11 2012[/editline] MGS has some of the best music.

And holy shit I've been invading this thread a bit.
Finally have my HD collection back, so I'm up for some Peace Walker on Xbox 360.
I could be up for some PS3 Peace Walker at some point. I've just beaten the Hind, but I'd love the help you guys play some of the earlier missions.
I've not played Peace Walker yet, well fully anyway, what's so good about it that makes you guys like it a lot?
I've not played Peace Walker yet, well fully anyway, what's so good about it that makes you guys like it a lot?
Because you walk. In peace. Except not really.
I could never get into PW. Don't know why.

I have to wait 1-3 weeks for my HD collection pack...
I wanna do a playthrough doing this as much as possible.
I like throwing poisonous snakes and spiders at sentries.
I'm also going to continue my Peace Walker field guide when my friend goes back home.
So i'm thinking of playing Peace Walker properly now, like a few hours of play, do I need to have played any of the previous games to understand it?, so far from what I've played you play Big Boss.. being the one you play in MGS3?

You'll want to play the previous releases, this was made to link MGS3 to MG1.
Right.
He said METAL GEAR 1 not METAL GEAR SOLID 1.
My bad... well thanks for clearing that up... so I can play them too as they're in the HD pack.

Just ordered the HD collection. I think I'm getting to the point where I have too many MGS games.
