Plus after you line it up you can just press attack so you don't fuck up and move the stick slightly and fail.
Really, I just found him so easy, slash dodge invincibility frames on his AOE blast is too strong. I just did it 2 retries on very hard but the fight before it wouldn't get to the checkpoint for some reason and took so many tries.
