[sp]So what's the deal with Raiden "going to fight his own war" now? Is he going to go on a PMC killing spree or something?[/sp]
Kojima: I Want to Make Metal Gear Rising 2 with Platinum
Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has heaped a huge amount of praise on Metal Gear Rising developer Platinum Games, revealing that he would like to make a sequel to the action spinoff and would only consider partnering with the Bayonetta studio for the job.
Good news. To be honest though, going off their previous games, Vanquish and Bayonetta being both great I think that Rising could've been a lot better.

But they'll get pissy anyway.
MGR: R actually captures the feeling of being raiden surprisingly well. also doing figure 8s around enemies in ninja dash mode while spaming light attack just looks fuckin cool...

So is MGR worth the money? I had fun in the demo but I'm not sure if that makes it worth the 100$ it costs here, I also hear it's short. So, skip and watch a LP or buy new or wait until it's cheaper?
I'd say rent it if you can from someplace, or just wait until it goes down in price, which probably won't be too long, I definitely don't think the game justifies a full price purchase.
Yeah... Robot Chainsaw Dog kicked my ass. But i got there eventually. I just really suck at Parrying.

how is 10 hours short
It Is extremely short. Cleared hard and very hard in 10 hours. Extremely fun though.
What. Thats longer than most games. Hell, thats longer than most Metal Gear games, if you take the cutscenes out of the matter.
clearing 2 difficulties, one viewing everything and the other skipping scenes in 10 hours is long?
the game most likely does not count cutscenes or really any time where you are not in control of the player.
One of the devs confirmed that the total time doesn't count cutscenes.
I paid £35 and beat the game on normal in 4 and a half hours. I loved the game start the finish, it gave me a decent challenge. Considering I hardly play games of Rising's genre take that as you will. I don't have a complaint about the length of the game considering I got what I consider a game that was ultimately very enjoyable and very high quality. I definitely plan to beat it on hard and maybe go again on very hard and revengeance.
Guess I should have said this is going off a real world clock and not in game times.
It's been discussed before, like I said my playthrough clocked in at around five hours, with everything included, I don't understand why some people are incredulous to the idea of the game being short, that's just the way it is.
holy hell, the denver building level becomes all sorts of bullshit loving these invisible walls that prevent me from jumping around the corner to that should-be easily reachable pagoda
So I farmed the game through to unlock Gray Fox's exoskeleton and his blade, then maxed his blade out. Must say the special effect on it makes the game so trivial but its so fun just using light attack and slicing people into pieces without having to go into blade mode.
so i'm about to start my first playthrough of MGS3, and I'm not sure how I feel about the 3rd person camera. how should I play it? overhead or shoulder? opinions?
shoulder is better
The game works much better with a 3rd person camera.
pretty much all of the boss fights except the last one made me feel badass. I haven't had that feeling of badassery in a game since hotline miami.
http://spong.com/article/29051/Kojima-I-Want-to-Make-Metal-Gear-Rising-2-with-Platinum Kojima REALLY wants to team up with platinum for Rising 2 Also the final boss is the most empowering thing in the game what are you on. I died once or twice and when I nailed it I felt like the coolest motherfucker
I like how nothing really feels cheap but everything feels so satisfying. needs more sam
mastiffs are the worst enemy ive had the misfortune to face in the last few years of playing games
The water striders spin attack is ridiculous. Good thing they're hardly in the game but fuck the vr missions with them are difficult.
Yeah... Robot Chainsaw Dog kicked my ass. But i got there eventually. I just really suck at Parrying.
Yeah but that fight is designed to teach you how to parry and it teaches you how to get good at it I just beat MGR:R and it was AWESOME
