i have an old 20gb ps3 so my ps3's harddrive will be nothing but metal gear by the end of the year
[editline]24th February 2013[/editline]
still have no idea how to get a bigger harddrive on this fuckin' thing.
that's the only problem it has
You can buy a harddrive and swap it out they're not that expensive
mgs4 was really rad
for some reason i can never build up the will to play it through again, though.
It's awesome, but it only has like 1 act that doesn't have some dumb downside.
Act 1: Tutorial
Act 2: Decent
Act 3: Escort/Rail Shooter
Act 4: Robots, not fun to sneak
Act 5: Boss rush mode

is there some special thing do i need to do, or can i straight up by a regular HDD and use it like that?
or is there some proprietary hdd i need to buy?
Just something funny I came across:
Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has told VideoGamer.com that he wants Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2 to star Cyborg Ninja Gray Fox, and have him fight against nano machine zombies.
"We started off with the concept of having Cyborg Raiden as the main character, but gradually as development proceeded he kind of grew closer and closer to Cyborg Ninja," said Kojima.
"Honestly I think that personally if we are going to make a sequel to Rising it should feature Frank Yaeger as a main character versus zombies... nano machine-powered zombies. That's what I'm proposing to Platinum and the producer of the project, but they seem to be ignoring me.
"I said I'll even write the story for it, but our story writer said, 'no that's ok, that's ok. Don't worry about it'."

you uhm
you take off the plastic bit that says "hard drive cover"
and you remove a screw
and you replace the hard drive in the hard drive casing thingy :v:
it's not really the hardest thing in the world
I'd buy it.

sony is the extra-nice guy who doesn't mess with plastic enclosures and proprietary drivers, literally any 2.5" SATA hard drive will work
alright that's rad
i'll get another hdd i don't need and do that shit. wasn't aware that you could just use a straight up harddrive
Finally finished Rising. I liked the [sp]armstrong[/sp] boss fight, was definitely more fun than fucking [sp]sam[/sp]. I must've restarted like, 25 times during that bossfight.
My one big gripe with the game is the camera. Holy shit is the camera terrible. You can never lock onto what you want and it never works in your favor. Can't count how many times bullshit happened just because of the camera.
the only time camera was an issue for me that actually caused gameplay problems was Mistral when fighting on the pipe. The camera swaps from side to side if you go past a certain point and it caused a few parry fuck ups.
There have been a couple times where the camera did a complete 180 on me, controlling the camera takes getting used to.
However, there's really nothing else I can complain about regarding this game, its just too damn good.
Although, kinda wish Raiden's moveset was a little more extensive.
Also, more combat VR missions.
I just realized that you can upgrade your blade to do more damage
I realize this after finishing the game
god dammit

What difficulty did you do it on? I feel sorry for you if you went the whole game on hard using a toothpick.

Normal. I went through the entire game using nothing but the unleveled HF blade.

Normal is really easy anyways.
I feel kind of silly for playing through MGS1 - 3, but stopping midway through 4. I guess I kind of lost interest after that one lengthy cutscene with Ocelot killing things by pointing at them. But Rising brought my interest back, so I should continue it sometime.

Wow that cutscene is awesome what did you think of it?

Stick with MGS4.
Trust me, the ending is worth it.

Sadly, I've already been somewhat spoiled on MGS4's plot and ending. Not that I'm going to click on those spoiler tags or anything.
man, mgs4 was awesome despite some flaws
its a shame mgo died, i only recently got access to my ps3 again
Last i checked, dont girls develop a little faster and a little earlier than boys?
I can't recall ever hearing a 10-year old girl having breasts.

Y'know, I saw this post and thought you were still discussing MGS4, but I actually went and looked at Sunny's wiki page to check her age in MGS4 and compare it with Rising and that's when I saw her new design...
What did they do to her, jesus christ.
But yes, girls do tend to develop fairly early...just not to that extent.

So, what is everyone's load out for Raiden? I have pretty much everything except for the HF Long Sword. The VR Missions are really frustrating for me to sit long enough and try for it. Anyway, my current load out is:
Desperado Body
Murasama
Sai
Wig B
I haven't used Fox Blade yet, but I plan to do a play through of the game using it, and then one using the Machete, just for fun. I've used the Pole arm and Pincers, but they both pale in comparison to the usefulness of the Sai. The ability to stun any enemy, and draw yourself to them is just amazing. Also, once you get Wig B, buy it. Infinite Blade mode and Jack the Ripper mode is quite fun. About to start my VHard play through, then it will be on to Revengeance.

why did they even kill MGO/MGO2
I always heard good stuff about them and now I can finally try it out and it's been dead for years :(

I didn't even use any of the boss weapons, hf blade 4 lyf

I just assumed the other weapons were crap, until I started using the polearm weapon. Then I realized I could use it to stunlock 4 guys to death, then launch them into the air simultaneously. And then I got a lot more S ranks.

no
fuck the later levels where I had to fight gorilla fuckers, missile bastards, and geckos all at once
