You do know that this game was made years before many of the social networking sites even started, right?
blogs have been around since the beginning of the internet
Granted I've never played MGS4, but I figured that was part of the overall mindfuck of the ending.
I wish they added the MGO part of subsistence. I was sad when they took the servers down and I was hoping they would remake it for the hd collection.

Moss camo is ridiculous.

Anyone up for some co-op on Xbox?

Some avatar love! Smaller is for blue members, larger is for gold members.

Who the fuck plays Metal Gear on Playstation? Pfft.
I must be an idiot because I tried the co-op in PW and I was so confused, [sp]all sorts of ghosts or something and I'm reviving a bunch of dead guys[/sp]. I guess I need a mic to better communicate with mates.

That was an extra ops mission, lol. Likely "Dead Man's Treasure".

Guess I should try some main ops co-op first then.

That's been my PSP and phone wallpaper forever, haven't changed it since PW's release in US.
So, thoughts on the (possibly) upcoming MGS movie?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808372/
No real information yet, so not much to do other than speculate
I think the bigger problem in MGS2 isn't any of it's terribly written lines (Designed intentionally by Kojima to try to kill the series so he wouldn't be forced by Konami to keep making MGS, but we see how that worked out)
But the big problem with MGS2 is: How the hell did noone react to a huge mech-sub in the middle of manhattan? Are people so reliant on the internet in MGS that word of mouth is non-existent and they forget without a million Facebook updates about it?
Sure, the patriots can censor the internet, but they can't sensor a person's ability to talk. And this was before everyone was nano'd up to high hell in MGS4.
People always have these crazy ideas and I don't know where they get them, is there a source on it?
I want to play the HD Collection, but I also want to finish MGS1 before I do...

There hasn't been any real news on that for ages and IMDB is not a trust-worthy source.

Well it's only half as long as all the other MGS games, so it shouldn't be too hard.
I find it odd that there's no blood in Peace Walker, especially after the gorefest that the elevator scene in MGS2 can be, not that I mind too much my 3 year old nephew was sat on my lap watching me play and pointing out enemies.

I'm glad that there's no blood in PW. It fits the game's unique feel well.

The red circles replace blood very well. It's not actually blood, but the red is there. It's great.
As much as i like Peace Walker, The only thing i cant stand is those bloody quick time events in cutscenes, Just leave me alone so i can do something else while the person im co-oping with watches them. I would get more LAV's for Outer Ops but the only problem with that is one quick time event thats unskippable.
Just leave me alone god damn it.
Eh, apart from Big Boss losing some of his uniqueness in PW, the only thing that irritated me was enemies made of kevlar.
Playing the game the way it was supposed to be played rectifies that completely*
outside of boss battles with escorts (RIP HD tags 2011-2011)

It's like that in all MGS games. Although from MGS2 onward, you have chest and nut shots, as well as headshots and limbs.

What?
I played the MGS3DS demo and they seemed to add new features including crouch walking, running with sniper rifle, and some motion controls. Is that in HD collection?

Unfortunately no, it's the exact same as subsistence.

Ah that is too bad, does anyone have any hints on how not to accidentally kill someone when you are trying to interrogate them? I hate that in the PS2 MGS3 and I am not sure if it was fixed in HD

On the xbox version you'll only kill them if you double click the left thumbstick or press Y when you're holding them. Not sure about PS3 version.
I think Outer Ops is kind of disappointing as well, I was hoping to be able to actually be involved in it and not have just a metagame to level soldiers up.
I forgot how bad some of the dialogue was in MGS2. While the game is still great it has a lot of hilariously bad parts.
I KILLED MY SOUL...WITH A BOMB

The other day I did the mission where after there's a cut scene with qte against the boss and I had to go out but couldn't skip it so I assumed I could just leave it and it would play through then I could save later, when I got back the same bit was looping still; I hadn't realised there was a quick time event.
I did it then the mission report said it took me five hours to complete the mission
