MGS4 was my first MGS game, so I was a bit confused when I played it.
Luckily I still had my PS1 and both the MGS1 discs, so that cleared some stuff up, then watched a few videos online and got the hang of the story.
MGS4 is incredibly nostalgic for me, even though its not even old.
I just played through it so many times that I remember almost everything.

In MGS1 he was the prison guard, both for Meryl and for you between the torture scenes.
In MGS2 he was taking a shit when you were looking through the hostages, he can be heard with the directional mic.
In MGS3 he was the prison guard. Though that was probably his father/uncle/whatever.

Funny thing, Meryl kicks his ass and steals his gear in MGS1. And I think it was him again when you were closed in the torture room.
In MGS2, you can also find him with the Directional Mic behind the 2nd strut Emma goes around.
And in MGS3, it was his father or granfather. Probably granfather.
These load times in MGS2 are taking a long time, even with the game installed on the harddrive.

One thing that bothered me about that scene is how incredibly badass [sp]Big Boss[/sp] looks like.
Made me incredibly disappointed that I couldnt get to play as him or get his facecamo.

Definitely. I assumed it was when he went back to FOXHOUND after Outer Haven but that's probably the sketchiest sloppiest part of the whole storyline.

my least favorite thing about mgs4 is how Select doesn't open up the codec
