[sp]Supposedly killed by Naked Snake with the Patriot and CQC, But really she was killed by Second Hand Smoke. [/sp][/QUOTE]
Eh? Is that revealed in PW?
[QUOTE=myalt22;34731307]Eh? Is that revealed in PW?[/QUOTE]
Might be a joke.
I might get this. Snake Eater on the 3DS comes out later in February, so I'm gonna buy this so I can play Snake Eater on my PS3 while I wait for Snake Eater on my 3DS.
[sub][sub][sub]d-did anyone see what i just did there?[/sub][/sub][/sub]
Just ordered this for the 360 from amazon two days ago. I can't wait to play MGS 2 and 3 again, and I've never played Peace Walker before, so that should be fun.
[QUOTE=myalt22;34729632]Hnng I hate the Grenade Launcher VR Missions so fucking much.
3/5ths through Peace Walker, I like it's whole Staff Management/Outer Ops/R&D thing.
I am somewhat annoyed by the removal of
-Nightmare Minigame in 3
-Boss Survival in 3
-Ape vs Snake Mode[/QUOTE]
That annoyed me as well. Really, shouldn't the remake be adding things rather than removing them?
Peace Walker has so much content in it, it amazes me it was a PSP game.
If I had no idea of that game's existence before playing it, I never would have guessed that it was a PSP game.
Played through 3 last week, then I loaded up Peace Walker.
"You can not move while prone. You can only move by crouching!"
What the hell? When did I start playing Splintercell Pandora Tomorrow?

I'm not sure why they did it, could be to do with how the COOP shit works or just path finding problems.
Maybe i didnt make it clear yesterday, Sorry about that. What i said by "Second Hand Smoke" is that i basicly just defeated the Boss with just the Cig Spray, I had ammo for my MK22 and Mosin, but "Killing" her with Second Hand Smoke was just more fun.
Is it just me or does the MK22 seem more powerful agaisnt Bosses?
Peace Walker Next.
Just ordered the collection for PS3, keeping it real.
Bought it on xbox today as I left work(tesco) playing through sons of liberty now, enjoying it so far and glad I get to play them again.
I'm going through these after when they were released. So MGS2 first, in other words.
And wow i had forgotten how much of a wimp Raiden is. Like, I remember him being a nancyboy, but I don't remember him having to consult his gf Rose every time he stands upon a challenge.
And whats up with that Fortune, and her going "I'm so sorry my beauties" after having accidentally killed some seagulls when firing her railgun. She's working for a terrorist cell that's threatening to destroy a coast's entire ecosystem for centuries!!
Oh well. Hopefully the slight sense of nostalgia attached to this game will be enough to fuel me through this practical joke of a game.

The hilariously camp cutscenes are just part of the fun, imo.
Just make sure to never, ever take any of the games seriously.
Literally just finished Metal Gear Solid 3... I must say that was absolutely amazing, probably well for me one of my best games i've played yet... and to add to my favourites as I've never played it before the HD collection, well about 10 minutes on the PS2 as I bought it recently on PS2 to then I look forward to the rest of the series if they're as good as MGS3, brought a tear to my eye.
[editline]21st February 2012[/editline]
You also seem to get rewarded for finishing the MGS games too, which in MGS3 it actually is one of the first games to make me feel I've done something worth while and got things for it, well that and mass effect.
There is a metric shit tonne of content for finishing the game. I love it.

you REALLY should have finished MGS2 first. Going backwards is not easy, and most people give up.
The hardest thing to deal with is the camera and NO CQC.
collecting dog tags is terrible
so TEDIOUS

Dude, I have no idea how I'm gonna do this.

Snake eater was one of the best looking games to ever come out for the old PS2. It had superb gameplay, including hunting for food, finding supplies, and not getting your ass tail-slapped by a gavial into a mud pit.
Peace Walker feels too easy for me. It's still pretty damn fun though. The [sp]AI[/sp] bosses are bitches though.

I dont know either, I've heard you only need to get the dogtags in one difficulty, but im not too sure.
Never played metal gear solid, is it worth purchasing now?

yes

If you like stealth games, then yes.
I ordered this a few days back and it should arrive today...
I placed a snowball on top of my post box so in case it disappears I know somebody opened it so I can go check the mail :v:
[editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
Hell yeah! Snowball was gone and package was there!
this is such fucking bullshit. why can't i buy peacewalker on the playstation mart? and i don't have a fucking psp.
Buying this game made me realize I am not good with pressure sensitive buttons or stealth. Good stuff though.
[QUOTE=Karahaut;34831506]Buying this game made me realize I am not good with pressure sensitive buttons or stealth. Good stuff though.[/QUOTE]
I think the buttons on modern controllers aren't as sensitive as they used to be, on the 360 you have to press the left thumbstick down if you want to hold someone up but on the PS2 I used to be able to gently hold down whatever the fire button was and it'd do the same.
that's just for the 360.
i use my ps3 controller to play pc games sometimes and the program i use can test pressure sensitivity of buttons.
the ps3 controller's pressure sensitivity for just about every button except r3 and l3 (maybe even them too) is insanely sensitive. to the point where a fucking spec of dust landing on the X button would cause some reaction probably.

I think L3/ R3 are digital, making them pressure sensitive would be pretty counter productive as players tend to put a lot of pressure on them to use them. Which application are you using anyway? I can't remember MotionJoy having proper pressure sensitivity.
