That was a bit of fun. Fucking hard though to understand what people were saying. I'll wait to play again til I get a mic.
At least we got it finished.
We need to organize a stuns only VS ops match one of these days :V

I could set up some VS. games.
I could set up some VS. games.
You should sometime, I played a few CQC only matches with some of the people in our party for an hour and it was great.
Add people using the lovebox or crouching to completely avoid all CQC whilst destroying your psyche gauge with rolls and you've got yourself Metal Gear Online 2 for Xbox.
T'was great, and it's going to be great once all the people from MGO2 spill over when it is shut down (Good riddance and RIP.)
I wonder what MGO will be like in MGS5 if it has a new MGO.
Run in circles with the famas. Remember you can punch them as well. You should be able to knock all of them down with one famas clip and reload before they get back up.
I tried that 5 times, I'm just fed up of the fucking thing now because one of them always seems to dodge all my bullets when the other 3 are down and I have to piss around taking him out, then going back to the other 3 when they get up and having to reload midway etc, made worse by having to run all the way down the stairs from the top every time I die.

How do you run and shoot? The entire game I've had to stand still whenever it comes to using my Famas..

On playstation you hold square and X. Square and L1 might work as well.
On playstation you hold square and X. Square and L1 might work as well.
Its Square and Circle for me for some reason but thanks.
[editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
Ok so Square + Circle is impossible to hold while trying to move. I'm done with MGS.
[editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
Ok I managed to do it after 1 more try, heh. Used up pretty much all my FAMAS ammo though.
In the next fight, you'll be surfing on missiles!
Oh great, so if you die in Part 2 of the [sp] Rex fight, you have to start it all over again? I can't do this bit, I've tried pissing around underneath his legs so he stalls but the laser just gets me [/sp]
[editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
Sweet, took about 6 tries but I did it.
[editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
Awesome, finished Metal Gear Solid 1! Time to go on to 2 (After a break of course)

Also, I hope you like Tactical Skateboarding Action:

Ahh yes. I remember this on the PS2 version. They executed it suprisingly well. I'm guessing it's not on the HD collection.....seems like they really stripped down the games in the HD collection for some reason. You can't even download those special camos in MGS3.
I need to buy a PS2 again so I can have those goodies. My PS2 compatiable PS3 died, so I have the slim Ps3 now. It still pisses me off that they removed PS2 compatibility.

I thought they automatically gave you the camo's in the HD Collection? Also, at least.it has more features than the Essential collection.
I think today I'll defeat [sp]Solidus[/sp]

He's fun! MGS2 has a lot of fun segments, but there's so much backtracking to be done.
I have beat MGS2. Someday I'll go back and get all the extra stuff.
[editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
Now should I start MGS3 in the next 2 hours I have before leaving for work?

What? No. The essential collection, which I have as well, actually seems to have more features than the HD.
The version of Metal Gear Solid 2 in HD Collection contains Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance without the Evolution Skateboarding cross over stage, while the version of Metal Gear Solid 3 contains Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence along with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.[5] However, the original version of Metal Gear Online, Secret Theatre, Boss Survival Mode and the minigame Snake vs. Monkey is not included, as well as the Existence DVD (which played the entire game as a movie). According to one review, it also does not include the nightmare sequence when the player saves the game after Snake is captured.
If you really want to, do the Virtuous Mission then go to work. Don't go past that.
I ate a snake.
In a 10-page feature, Metal Gear series expert Dan Dawkins provides forensic analysis of the Metal Gear timeline, while piecing together over 12 months of Kojima's cryptic tweets, a raft of existing clues and all the 'Next MGS' imagery to date.
The most obvious clue about 'the next MGS', comes from the recent Kojima Productions GDC recruitment advert, where a picture of Big Boss (the hero of Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker) is accompanied by the call to arms, "Big Boss Wants You!".
The Kojima Productions site itself 'hides' another image of Big Boss with a 'Diamond Dogs' logo on his shoulder, which Dawkins claims is a reference to both the 1974 David Bowie album Diamond Dogs (Kojima being a confirmed Bowie fan), but, more importantly, the diamond mines of Angola, against which some of the action could be set.
Previously, characters such as Frank Jaeger aka Cyborg Ninja and Big Boss himself have all been revealed as having links to the continent via countries like South Africa, Rhodesia (neé Zimbabwe) and Mozambique, further reinforcing Africa's importance to MGS canon. Need convincing further? We've included a sample spread from the magazine detailing Dawkins' thinking.
As well as all that, PSM3 explains why the choice of location and timeline could mean a reprisal for Gray Fox (aka Ninja from MGS on PSone), focuses on the philosophical dispute between Big Boss and Major Zero that inspired the plot of MGS4, and reveals how the game could address modern world, mid-economic-recession, issues. Finally, they investigate Kojima's 'Project Ogre' and whether it's the same thing as the 'next' MGS and when both games might be out.
Oh, and why should you trust Dawkins? Because he was the man that correctly predicted the plot, main themes and characters in GTA V months before the official first reveal.
This could mean we get more of Frank Jaeger, which would be fucking PERFECT
im pooping at the thought of more big boss
But no really that sounds pretty cool. Just finished MGS2 properly, so I'll do the same with MGS3 now.
Y'know, it'd be interesting to have an MGS that takes place in the 50's as an even younger Big Boss in Korea.
I mean, it's a completely untouched setting. I can't even name a single game that has taken place during the Korean war.

I'm more interested in a game where you play as Boss. I want to know about more of her background.

Storming the beaches of Normandy with the other weirdos, I assume.

And then proceeding to go into labor and squeeze out the series antagonist. Would make a great fun game.

MGS1 also had some annoying backtracking.
But I'll forgive it due to how dark the atmosphere of the game was imo.
