I would love an MGS game set in WW2 so much.
Especially if it was like MGS3 with the camo, food, ect. It would be... the greatest game in the world.
I'm more interested in a game where you play as Boss. I want to know about more of her background.
I'd rather not, or soon enough, we'll actually get to see George Washington involved in some conspiracy that in SOME WAY will cause the Philosophers Legacy and The Patriots and the whole shenanigans to be born, and in the end of said game, we see him pin a medal on a man that looks a bit like Big Boss :v:
...I miss Solid Snake... :(
I kind of stopped playing MGS2 and just moved straight on MGS3, and now I'm in the middle of MGS3 and I love it but I want to play Peace Walker
Can I play Peace Walker after half completing those other games?

You really should finish MGS3 before PW. It's a direct sequel in a sense.

It's a shame they didn't include Portable Ops. It'd make sense really, the two sets: MGS2/MGS3 and MGPO/MGPW.

Why not make a complete HD MGS Collection?
So take this, add the Twin Snakes and a Portable Ops HD version.

I've never even played it so I was fairly disappointed when the didn't include it but I heard it was shit anyway compared to the rest of the series.
I liked MGS1 better than MGS2.
I just beat 2 and then 3. I loved them both and I can't pick which I liked better, they were so different. I'm currently playing 1 and probably going to buy 4, but 1 is really, i dunno. Tough to get through. It doesn't have a lot going for it. Shitty controls, much more basic gameplay having just played 2 and 3, terrible graphics (I know it's old but I mean come on), and it's just overall hard to play. Not as in hard difficulty. I just find it's not a very palatable game. So far at least.
SO yeah. 2 and 3 own 1 isnt that great.

That's just a spin-off.
It's not even made by Kojima's studio.

I got sick of the same environments
Hmm. Hoping for a MG1 remake with perspectives from both Big Boss and Solid Snake. There's no way they can just do a direct remake since the original rode on Big Boss being pure evil...
I'm hoping for a new game that takes place at the same exact same time as MG1, but not a direct remake.
Mostly because MG1 is short and the enviroments are uninteresting.
Starting MGS2, anything I should know about changes to things between 1>2? Controls, takedowns etc perhaps?

There's tutorials in the game.
Holy Shit MGS2 is an improvement over 1, can actually search lockers and stuff now, hide in them and hide bodies in them, hiding bodies is the best part of any stealth game IMO.
Try hiding in a locker with a poster in and pressing R1. Then call otacon. Alternatively, do it while focusing on the bewbs.
I'd known this since 2002 and was showing a friend the hilarity of it. He was having a laugh when [sp]"Snake beater" came up on screen![/sp] Heh.

Just did that, poor Otacon.
Was that the "piss" talk? Repeat for the actual hilarity about babes and stuff.
Oh man Snake [sp] jacking it while on the Codec with Otacon, what the shit Kojima [/sp] also, the discovery that I can throw bodies overboard changes EVERYTHING.
EVERYTHING!!!
Anyway. I made it to the Pain so far without any detection. I've discovered that Fake Death pills are very useful for "Is there somebody there" situations where you aren't busted. If they just find your body, they just bro along. One gone, 4 to go. I'm only playing Normal though.
I've got a Hard "Game over when busted" MGS2 run going on my friends PS3 and i'm debating with myself wether to just do a new one here, or just do it over there when we chill. It's the thing we used to do when we were younger as well. When we couldn't play Time Crisis or Tekken 3.
[editline]21st April 2012[/editline]
Don't use Fake Death pill under water...
[editline]21st April 2012[/editline]
But FUCK! MGS3 in HD is just... wow! The ground textures are almost in better shape than the MGS4 ground textures...
Without all the Aliasing, this game finally really shines.
Shit Rusty I see what you meant by child bearing hips. Playing Raiden now and I see it, constantly.

No wonder, you're playing a game from 14 years ago. Its very different from all the others after.
I find it to be one of the best actually.

How?
My analysis so far of boss fights in MGS3
The Pain - Pussy, easy as fuck [sp]Just swim around a lot and unload your shotgun/AK, easy[/sp]
Ocelot - Pussy, dude what are you even doing, twirling your guns around like an asshole. "FROM THAT RANGE HUH" - Dude you're like, not even 7 meters away from me.
The Fear - Died once, easy as fuck [sp]Track him intially, don't bother curing poison you'll just get darted again probably. Just unload on him after he shoots, damage his cloaking, track him then + keep unloading[/sp]
I was going to go to sleep but I'll go kill The End, see how that goes.

Now that you have chosen to fight The End, I'd suggest not quitting until you beat him.
I'm trying to get the Peace Walker trophy for Metal Gear Solid 3 and I'm curious about this. If you use CQC on someone and they accidentally fall into the water and drown does that count as you killing them?
I beat the fear just by using thermal goggles and m37.
Edit: is it just me or don't the cobras actually fit the themes set by their names too well.
I wonder what an MGS game would be like if they took all the mechanics from MGS3 (Especially the time advancing when the player is away) and put them in with RPG elements and a campaign based off your actions and choices.
And I never understand why people want a game as The Boss during WW2. The Boss wasn't exactly the stealth type, more of the "Kill everything in sight" type.
So Big Boss is what, in is 50s in Peace Walker?
And he fucks a 16 year old girl?
I guess the laws were different back then.
