Yes, I am. The first person IS on RB, clicking the left stick is used to raise the weapon to the shooting position, you know, to hold guys up and aim precisely in first person. Speaking of holding people up, I never seem to be able to sneak up on a guy without them noticing. Do I have to crawl or something?
Yeah, I have the same problem. Holding someone up, let alone actually shooting or god forbid shooting from cover is ridiculously convoluted.
I wish MGS4 was on PC, or at least the MGO part. My ps3 always gets terrible lag with online games.
Anyone up for some ops today?
I wish MGS4 was on PC, or at least the MGO part. My ps3 always gets terrible lag with online games.
MGO is dead though :(
MGO with an sdk would be pretty awesome.
Also, here's some new avatars:
Yeah, I have the same problem. Holding someone up, let alone actually shooting or god forbid shooting from cover is ridiculously convoluted.
i kept accidentally holding people up in mgs2 while crawling underneath things dont move or your foot gets it
MGO is dead though :(
If it was released on PC, we could use private servers though.
If it was released on PC, we could use private servers though.
Yeah, well. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but there are way better online shooters than MGO on PC.
Yeah, I have the same problem. Holding someone up, let alone actually shooting or god forbid shooting from cover is ridiculously convoluted.
Not really, use the d-pad to stalk up to them then click the left thumb stick ez pz.
I actually wish they reused that system for MGS4, when walking.
Megafan got a cool avatar! Cooooool! Peace Walker versus ops is pretty close to MGO. So is the new Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which I will be buying on release.
Yeah, well. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but there are way better online shooters than MGO on PC.
Thats not the point...
You're pretty... food?
Kojima himself would be proud at this pun.
Oh Zadornov you silly billy...
Thats not the point...
I guess. I wouldn't pass on it either. But i've already played MGO1 and MGO2. Was very nice. In its own way.
I guess. I wouldn't pass on it either. But i've already played MGO1 and MGO2. Was very nice. In its own way.
And I never got to play it, which seemed like a nice change :(
Goofing around as Raiden and Vamp with a friend is pretty fun.
And I never got to play it, which seemed like a nice change :(
It's pretty meh basically. It's got some nice mechanics to set it very far apart from any other shooters out there, but it's got a lot of clunk dragging it way down. In MGO1 it was serious latency issues and AK sniping.
Don't mind if i do?
Go right ahead.
im playing peace walker i dont really like it way too much psp influence and handholding and tiny baby missions and other bad things what i dont like
Got the HD collection, decided to start with MGS 3. It's awesome so far, although the controls are so damn confusing compared to the controls in modern TPP games (click left stick to raise the gun and press X to fire? Really??). And, well, to be honest, I suck at it. Big time. So far managed to get through the Virtuous Mission, got my ass kicked by The Boss who then rode off into the rain on her horse, got shot in the ass and had to pull the bullet out (poor Snake), killed a lot of Pythons, and met EVA.
Why the fuck would you start with 3 if you haven't played 2?
yeah i'd never recommend starting mgs3 before mgs2, the story won't make much sense imo and mgs3 is much harder to just jump into compared to 2
And because once you get used to MGS3's features going back to MGS2 will be very painful.
MGS3 has no real story relation to MGS2...
And because once you get used to MGS3's features going back to MGS2 will be very painful.
the only real addition to the gameplay is some of the cqc and slitting throats. in mgs2 you can just as easily choke them out. and the camo system isn't really needed in 2. [editline]27th April 2012[/editline]
MGS3 has no real story relation to MGS2...
even though it's set before 2, each game gives more plot exposition in the order of release.
My first MGS was 3, if anything MGS3 is a good starting point storywise, because it's way before any of the other games.
even though it's set before 2, each game gives more plot exposition in the order of release.
Yes. That is true.
