Finally finished my little Metal Gear Solid marathon. Played through MGS1 (PS1), MGS2 & 3 (HD Collection) and MGS4. I'm going to play Peace Walker with a friend of mine next and I'm going to try MG1 and 2, since they came with MGS3 as well.
I would go play MGS1, but fuck doing that with a keyboard.
It's going to get shut down in june. So you should try it out, once you get the chance, all the DLC is gonna be free starting from 24th april, so that's kinda nice. MGO isn't that great, but can be alot of fun, getting a game going takes a while though.
Aww that's a shame, why's it being shut down?
Aww that's a shame, why's it being shut down?
Community is dying out obviously.
Aww that's a shame, why's it being shut down?
People don't really know. It's mostly a pain in the ass online. The Aim-tap-headshot gamestyle scares away most players, because no matter what kind of a shot it is aslong as it as much as strifes your head you're dead. So it's literally people jumping around headshotting people, to such an extent it's bullshit.
I'm glad they released Peace Walker on the consoles, I knew it would be a great game but it kind of sucked that it was released on the PSP in my opinion.

Once again, does anyone want to play some co-op peace walker on Xbox 360? Mic isn't required but it would be nice if you had one.
Been awhile since i played Snake eater and it really shows. About 10 alerts and im only by the warehouse by the aquaduct
I'm conflicted on whether or not to get this. I have every game in the collection (Including the original Metal Gear 1 and 2 for the MSX) with the exception of Peace Walker. Would anyone consider PW alone to be worth €30?

UNLESS You own Subsistence, which is extremely fucking hard to get nowdays. If you have Subsistence, don't bother as this version of Subsistence has a large chunk of content cut out. [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] Substance remains the same in this collection, though.

This was before MGO1 got shut down though.

peace walker is an amazing mgs game i'd say it's worth it imo

If you're in to collecting trophies, get this because it has a Platinum for each game, so those are fairly easy Platinums if you're not new to the series. I have the original trilogy (one that came out a few years ago that was a bundle and cost $30), so it's not a question of playing them for the story for me. Except for Peace Walker. Haven't played that one cuz I don't have a PSP.
mgs2 is not an easy platinum just check some of the trophies to see why
Well, placed my order for this earlier today. Just under a week to wait and I'll be getting spotted 'erry day.
One of these days I'm gonna buy MGS1 from the PSN store and try the series for the first time.
One of these days I'm gonna buy MGS1 from the PSN store and try the series for the first time.
I bought it a while back because I had only ever played MGS3 and 4, and I definitely don't regret my purchase, MGS1 is fantastic.
I suppose this thread also works as a MGS Megathread? If so, its really a shame how you can only use the civilian disguise from the third act of MGS4 in the third act, since I just thought of this new little challenge which I named 'Noir Gear Solid'. You're only allowed to use the young snake w/o bandana facecamo, the suit and pistols (except if you have to use something else to progress, like the dolls in the Screaming Mantis fight). It would look better with the civilian disguise, but the suit works as well.

You get all the equipment you had from the previous runthrough once you meet the Mk.2

So you can only use the Militia disguise in Act 1, the rebel disguise in Act 2 and the civilian disguise in Act 3. I just replayed the game today, so I'm 100% sure this is true.
Anyways, have some thread music I made today
Add me to that PSN list, been looking for people to COOP with. PSN - DudeManBro
the torture scene in peace walker broke my finger
Anyways, have some thread music I made today
That's a track from Metal Gear 1, isn't it?
the torture scene in peace walker broke my finger
Everyone complains about pressing a button quickly, the point was to tire the player out like the torture snake goes through.
i didn't complain i just said that it broke my finger i think i might have also broken the triangle button on my controller as well
Just got HD collection Would have preferred getting it for PS3, but the local store was all out of PS3 copies. Add Johny 1337 to the coop list for Xbox.
