Don't forget the Spiderman producer came on stage and said he was working on a Metal Gear movie. He'd give it the love it deserves. Never thought the CEO of Marvel would end up being producer for inFAMOUS, Mass Effect, Pac-Man: The Adventure Begins, Uncharted and now Metal Gear. The guy knows a good game and I look forward to it.

I think it's Big Boss, that suit looks pretty much identical to the sneaking suit from Peace Walker and that gun doesn't seem very modern either. I think it might take place between MGS3 and Portable Ops.

The gun is an FN FNC I think or an FN FAL Paratrooper (which was in Peace Walker), and that is an MSF sneaking suit (the one in Peace Walker). It is either Big Boss or one of his soldiers. Likely Big Boss since there were no MSF soldier characters (and they all wore balaclavas)
Hell yeah, I loved MGS3 mostly because of the time setting, so this being in a similar time period is so awesome.

Well, I never said that you are playing as a random soldier. It most definitely is Big Boss, but I am saying that his soldiers wore the same thing (but with a balaclava and without FOX logo)

It's not a remake of the first Metal Gear, this one is open world. Though you are right, it [i]is[/i] Big Boss.
It's quite clearly Big Boss. You can see part of the eye patch in the side view, that's a hybrid sneaking suit from MGS3 mixed in with the one from PW and to top it off it has MSF on it.
Solid Snake wouldn't even look like that during the 70s not to mention he NEVER worked for MSF.
My only question now: Where in the world is Frank Jaeger? He has to show up if it takes place in Africa.
