I have no words to describe how ready i am for this.
And i only just remembered i wore my peace walker shirt to school today.
There is literally no way that is not Big Boss. I mean, eyepatch, called Snake, Portable Ops/PW suit, MSF insignia, they couldn't make it more obvious.
What surprised me is that, depending on the timeframe, he looks much younger than I expected. At least looks much younger than he did in Peace Walker, both the in-game model and Ashley Woods' art for the cutscenes. I imagined him older now, at least some graying hair (or maybe shaving just took many years off him).
Also, It took me about 10 minutes to realize that wasn't a promo shot with David Hayter dressed up as Snake. Seriously, it looks so real. Also, he looks just like David Hayter. Like, a clone of him.
I was kinda hoping Big Boss would be looking more like this by now but holy fuck I'm hyped.

Bare in mind that's concept art and no doubt he could have multiple outfits.

His hair is also still that good ol messy mullet, so it doesn't look like he's actually taken that leadership role very seriously yet. Figured he would have by now, or maybe he does once he forms Outer Heaven.

He's definitely got more definition in his face but yeah the hair colour is weird. I guess they didn't want people get antsy over him looking more like an older big boss.
Not to mention it's not gonna take place that long after PW so it's ever so slightly plausible. We could also factor the lighting into things but we'll see.

I just officially beat Peace Walker and man, I just realized something. [sp] Nothing good happens to anyone! I mean I liked Dr. Strangelove but then I realized she dies and then Otacon's father drowns himself. Miller is killed by Liquid, it's like all my favourite characters just die! It's like Game of Thrones all over Again![/sp] But anyways this game was amazing, it gave my goosebumps to for some reason.

Frank didn't have a suit like that of any kind properly during his SA years unless he needs one to survive due to his stint as Null which they never really stated he did.

He had SOME hair in Portable Ops but the render test they did showed him bald. Would be odd for them to show Frank in that anniversary poster like that but oh well. If he's in Ground Zeroes I could care less how he looks.

Bare in mind he won't hardly be anything like he is during Shadow Moses. There's also the topic of him killing Naomi's parents which could be done in a multitude of ways.
The theme of duality and conflict between two ideals (freedom and control) could very well manifest its self in that way. The only thing I can say absolutely for sure is if Frank is an antagonist in this game then the fight between him and Boss could top the one between Snake and Liquid at the end of MGS4, it's just such a fucking good concept.
You can play as Grey Fox on Portable Ops+ I think.
Never used him though cause when characters die, they're dead for good until next playthrough or collection.

I know that but it's not canon that he actually helps BB. I haven't used him either but I assume he operates like any other unit would.
Reading the Wikia I'm wondering if Frank will be doing stuff in South Africa without actually knowing he's working for the Patriots.

You're never gonna get something specifically like that again since obviously each game is its own style, but from the looks of it MGS5 will be the closest you can get.

Especially with what they're doing now. It all seems to be logical progression based off the stuff they tried previously with PW and all the other games combined.
I don't see why people are expecting Big Boss to be old so soon, he was 39 in Peace Walker and unless this is set at least a decade later there's no reason for him to have grey hair.

That concept art they showed with him and the dog gave the impression he was pretty old looking.

Given this one seems pretty contained with only a few ties to bigger events, they can't really fuck it up easily.
The whole division between Zero and Boss might be the overarching story but I get the feeling Gray Fox will be kind of the Ocelot of this game.

Also, his hair WAS greying in peace walker, and if i remember right, getting your hair wet makes it darker.
