It's fucking Chico, that's why Big Boss is there, he has to rescue Chico and Paz.
Although by the looks of what Mr. Scarface said, Paz might not be alive anymore. Which is a good thing, mostly.

Meh, I kinda like Tara Strong.

Hey might have been talking about that other girl in Peace Walker.

He probably mean Amanda, Chico's sister. Chico doesn't really have any reason to care about Paz.
I'm trying to work out why he had a hole in his chest which he stored his earphone jack in
He probably mean Amanda, Chico's sister. Chico doesn't really have any reason to care about Paz.
He had a crush on Paz at one point, then after discovering she was a double agent he came to resent and even hate her, so it makes even less sense.
She's a grade A attention whore. I've never seen anyone so desperate for attention.
I don't care what an actor is like personally, if I like how they act then I don't give a shit about them otherwise.
Out of curiosity, how much would it take to play through MGS 1-2-3 + Peace Walker?
Timewise, I'd say about one, maybe two weeks for 1, 2 & 3 combined on your first run.
Peace Walker's story missions could take about maybe five days? But it's got a lot of other content in it too though, I've had it for a year and I've still not finished all the side missions yet.

Looks like a hole in his chest to me, hence how it looks sore around it.

Anyone besides me actually want a remake of the first two games (the ones for MSX)?
I've played them like hundreds of times and a lot of shit needs to be retconned. Like Zanzibar Land becoming the sole nuclear power in the world, Snake being described as a "British-Japanese" (wtf?) or the famous minefield in which Snake and Gray Fox fight to the death being just a room with mines on the walls.
Even in the re-releases Big Boss didn't tell Solid Snake he was his father, despite what Snake says in MGS1. I guess that would be rectified in the probably inevitable remake.
I know the kid in the trailer is meant to be someone called Chico aparently? and I never played much of Peace Walker, and it might just be wishful thinking, but I kinda feel like it actually could be a young Solid Snake. It feels like a twist kojima would do. One of the taglines for this was 'From FOX, two phantoms were born.', which could be referring to les enfants terribles. Snake was born in 74. I have no idea when Ground Zeroes is set, has that been revealed yet? I'm probably totally wrong. I just wish it was Solid.
I probably missed something that confirms that it's not.

I could see it. If they ever make an english dub of that trailer all we would have to listen for is Steve Blum's voice.

This is a good theory given that GZ is roughly end of the 70s/early 80s. But the fact he's going in there for Chico and the kid looks a lot like Chico I'm not entirely sure. Kojima is fucking with us plenty that's for sure.

They pretty much NEED to remake them since its the missing link between MGS1,2,4 and MGS3,PO,PW and GZ. And GZ is leading up to it. If MGS5 turns out to be a remake of Metal Gear then... Please take what is left of my money, Kojima
I finally started playing this series, starting with MGS1. It sure is fun.
Since you guys seem to know everything, is there anything I should know from the earlier games?
Also, should I play the PS2 version of MGS2 and buy MGS3 for 3DS or buy the HD Collection?

Just get the HD collection. You get the expanded versions of both MGS2 and MGS3 plus Peace Walker.
I only played the demo of the 3DS version, but the differences from the Vita version I played (I just beat it for the first time last week, yay!) were pretty significant. It looks much more lush, while lo-fi, there's definitely more detail, and the controls are pretty easy to get the hang off. I also found crouch-walking invaluable after being limited to walking and prone in the regular version. If you don't mind a not-so-solid FPS then I'd say get the 3DS version. Play it with headphones, and I'd avoid 3D if you can.

Just kill the fucker it's not really worth it for his camo anyways.

It looks cool though, plus it's okay as a substitute if you missed the desert camo

PS 2 has skateboarding for mgs 2 and snake vs monkeys for mgs 3.
But i'd say HD collection.

It rapidly fatigues you just to give you "constant" 80% camo index that doesn't even work.
The Sorrow camo is where it's at.

No, thats the Fear's camo.
Snake camo & Sorrow camo are the only ones youll need.
