I want this but i spent all my money on the Jak and Daxter Collection.
fucking [sp]strangelove torture scene[/sp] makes Peace Walker impossible to beat
im bad at anything that requires you to press a button a bunch of times fast
heres how to beat it
place your thumb on the bottom of your index finger and hold down the controller with the other hand
then repeatedly twitch your finger into the triangle button
if you do this you'll win
Hmmm I dont remember having any trouble with the torture scene on the PSP version. Might be easier with those lil buttons.
i think it might have something to do with me using an xbox controller. playstation buttons are usually flatter.
i was able to use a jigsaw to beat it once, but that tends to fuck up the buttons on the controller
if anything it should be easier on the xbox controller than the ps3 controller

Impossible [sp]torture[/sp] scenes? In a Metal Gear game?
IMPOSSIBLE.
It's been a while, but wasn't the torture scene in MGS1 MUCH harder?
I remember it being alot longer atleast.
I don't even remember a torture scene in MGS1.

I've actually found it to work better on the PS3 controller, just because of how the button layout is originally set. The 360 layout works very well though.
That's a track from Metal Gear 1, isn't it?
You're correct.
I love the soundtrack of MG1. Has some really great songs.
Also, I was incredibly disappointed of the torture scene in MGS1.
Everyone kept praising it for being hard and I thought it was piss easy.
I found a hint a while ago that I believe was for a button press sequence in one of the MGS games. What you do is take your controller, fold your shirt over it, and then rub your finger (whatever you feel comfortable using) over it really fast. The fabric will make your hand slide much easier and you won't kill your finger muscles in the process.

yeah.
A lot, lot harder. It was almost impossible. :v:

and if you use a rapid-fire controller, you instantly lose.
When I was a kid, we had a rapid-fire controller, Ocelot didn't detect shit :v:
And I seriously hate these button press sequences, though it's extremely satisfying when you succeed.
Moving away from the discussion about pushing a button quickly, Collecting Dog Tags is among the most tedious shit in MGS2. Also fuck Grenade Launcher Weapon Training.
the torture scene in peace walker broke my finger
Babby's first torture scene compared to microwave corridor.
Also fuck Grenade Launcher Weapon Training.
FUCK THESE MISSIONS, seriously. The aiming is so messed up it's horrendous.
Babby's first torture scene compared to microwave corridor.
lmao that part was extremely easy
i've never had any problems with the torture sequences in any of the mgs games
pw took my button mashing skills to the next level for some reason

Whatever happened to controllers with the 'turbo' option?

They're still around if you wanna risk owning a Madcatz.
i totally watched a documentary in my science class that had MGS music play whenever it talked about camouflage or sneaking. skip to 3:30 unless you wanna learn about animal adaptations or something.

Some how I've never failed the microwave one, but it definitely does hurt your thumb at the end. It's like a good 1.5-2mins of mashing X. Maybe longer.
I remember attempting the MGS1 and at first I was like "Yeah I can do it", but then maybe 20secs in, I literally gave up. At least technically you can still progress when you give in.
You guys are making MGS sound like a button masher.
You guys are making MGS sound like a button masher.
there's 2-3 instances i remember that you have to do so in the series. The torture chamber in MGS was the more infamous one, then the microwave corridor in 4, and a few choking scenes in MGS2. that's all i remember.

Like I've said before, they're to help with immersion, to tire you out like snake is being tired out.
I can't remember all the torture scenes but I've never had such a hard time with them, has anyone here even played some of the minigames in a Mario Party game?
yeah i bet snake's finger hurt too after he got tortured
deep immersion

Fuck that so much. Holy shit I was physically tired after that I'm sure of it. I just wanted to curl into a ball and leave the remains of my triangle button at peace.
Actually, I can't remember what button it was now. I really need to buy another copy of MGS4 at some point...

It was triangle, I still have the images of the orange filled circle with the outline of a triangle inside of the circle burned into my head
Guys should masturbate more. You won't get tired as fast.
