Ocelot had absolutely brilliant voice acting in MGS4.

Solid Snake's actual Japanese voice actor singing
[editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
IT'S JUST LIKE ONE OF MY JAPANESE ANIMEEES
i can't really recall if they talked about it but was big boss aware of his 'sons' in peace walker?
Nope. He's not aware of the program until Solid begins operating in Fox unit. BB covertly took control of Fox during 1989 and thus inevitably found out.

I want him to sing Fly! Gundam! Next.

It's just so silly and out of place for the show.
Of course. I just thought [sp]it was kinda funny how it went from Outer Heaven to Miller's death.[/sp]
[editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
Also it's time for me to do another MGS3 playthrough. This time, no kills. And only CQC The Boss.
Killing animals - that doesn't count, does it?
Don't think so(on killing animals). But to be safe, tranq them, or ignore them. The dogs, tranq.
Also, completed chapter 4, [sp]I admit, I did shed a tear after killing the Boss again, and her horse. The only time I did that was Mass Effect 3's deaths(squadmate death's).
But the control tower and PW fight was awesome, and that song did fit.[/sp]

[sp]I remember when I was legit annoyed because I had played PW for ages and the song didn't play once, then I got to the control tower run and was like "oh ok". Idk why I got so riled up over that but I guess every MGS game needs THAT moment with THAT song in it at the right moment.[/sp]

[sp]Agreed, like MGS3 playing SE in the last few minutes before the MiGs kill you and the Boss, and PW when you are fighting the gunship while hearing Heaven's Divide. Its better to fight it without a rocket launcher. I was getting frustrated with the mission, always getting injured and killed, but the final fight of that mission made up for it.[/sp]
Also, while doing one of the extra ops missions(holding up enemies with a banana), one of them turned around while I did the hold-up, the moron still went on the ground scared after seeing the banana. Are they scared of it?
they don't know what boss might do with that banana

[sp]For the gunship(s?) I just used that mounted turret for the most part and the PKM.[/sp]
Just got the HD set today to round out my Metal Gear collection, started a run through of the whole series starting with 3. Finished the Virtuous Mission and got a little way into Operation Snake Eater.
Really cool that they put the Substance / Subsistence versions in the Collection - I missed both of them the first time around. MGS3 still remains my favorite out of the series - it has something none of the others do. Style, maybe? Not sure, but it's just as fun and cool as I remember it.
What I'd really want is the MGS3 movie that came with the first batch of the original subsistence. Those are hard and expensive as fuck to get though.
It's gonna be very interesting to see the future of Big Boss' story in Ground Zeroes and forward, to see how he turns from the man he is in Snake Eater to a crazy old war-mongerer.
Im pretty sure that Snake was just being used by the Patriots to destroy Outer Heaven.
Snake is always being used.
Ive been playing through MGS2 again and ive realised that the Solidus boss fight is so forced.
"Im really a good guy who wants to free America from the Patriots, by the way Jack I killed your parents, I also want to kill you so I can steal your nanomachines"
It felt like they just turned him from a debatable villian into a full blown bad guy in the course of 20 seconds.
Are the NES games playable? I thought they wouldn't have any story behind them, considering how it's well, a NES, but it seems that 2 plays on Zanzibar etc. Should I play them?

It's really up to personal preference, but I'll tell you that when I tried Metal Gear, I played for maybe 15mins, then got bored. It was really cheezy as well.

Same here. It was a lot more fun having to survive in a jungle, instead of running around in a huge building thing.
long enough to get a blowjob
So I had a girl practically assault me with excitement over my MGS bag today and we're gonna do a MGS marathon on saturday.
How long do you guys think it's gonna take to complete MGS1 - 4 in one sitting? We'll probably be skipping some of the cutscenes since we've both played the games before.
Depending on how many cutscenes you skip, I'd say 15-20 hours.
Depending on how many cutscenes you skip, I'd say 15-20 hours.
Maybe less if he could properly speedrun MGS4. Also if he has it fully installed.
Isn't mgs4 one of the shortest ones in the series? I remember beating it on BB mode in like 3 hours 15 minutes. Felt ridiculously short compared to mgs3.
Aww yeah bought the HD collection, left it downloading and I hope it gets finished by the time I come home. Should I play them by release order? Also, what should I expect from Sons of Liberty?

Sons of Liberty.
Basically, expect MGS1, but with all kinds of new features and stuff.
You should drink whenever someone says a variation of "It's not over yet!"
So now the MGS marathon on Saturday has turned into a MGS drinking game. The rules are currently:
Sip when:
Campbell tells you something obvious via codec
Liquid says: "Brother!"
Mei Ling gives you a proverb
a genome solider says: "huh, what was that noise?"
foxhound is mentioned
Snake repeats the last part of someone else's sentence as a question.
Drink when:
Naomi acts like a bitch
Hal cries or wets himself
when ninja says: "hurt me more"
Snake says: "Metal Gear!"
all guys drink when Snake flirts
all girls drink when Meryl flirts
when johnny is on screen everyone shouts "Johnny!" and puts a hand on their bum. Last one to do it has to drink
If you can quote the whole of i need scissors 61! perfectly then you can skip the next 3 drinks.
If you can sing the whole of Snake Eater perfectly, then you can skip the next 5 drinks
If you flub the words to Snake Eater at all, you have to down your drink
If Snake dies whilst you're playing, you have to hand the controller to someone else and down your drink.
If someone gets spotted and goes to the alert phase, they have to take a drink, but only the person playing
Every time Ocelot betrays someone, we all take a shot of vodka.
Might as well just get a beer hat because you'll be drinking constantly.
The interesting part is this is supposed to be a marathon; we're planning on getting onto at least MGS3 by the end of the night.
So you'll be playing on normal yes?
So you'll be playing on normal yes?
Big Boss run every game.
I can't stop listening to Heaven's Divide. Don't know why, guess its because it felt awesome when you fight the helicopter in the [sp]control tower, without rockets or using the machine gun outside.[/sp]
Also, when do I get to fight [sp]ZEKE, since I heard there is one final mission. I already done all 6 search missions.[/sp]

[sp]he should escape for a final time and miller says he can't find him. just go into the shooting range in the MSF base as Snake and go up on the second floor[/sp]

[sp]I heard, but how many extra ops missions do I have to complete until that call happens, or is it random number?
And yes, ZEKE is already completed.[/sp]
