use a heavy machine gun bring along a strike marker pistol and supply markers.
that's how i beat type 2 also aim for the nuke.
Yeah, supply markers, throw down 3 supply markers so you can just call them in 1 at a time. Bring your best Rocket Launcher and best LMG. You can even set up aerial mines and land mines for extra damage, and use a strike marker when she sets up to launch.
Needs to be skill based and not 'skill' based. MGS games have always required quite a bit of skill to play on the higher difficulties and I want to see that reflected in MGO.
In MGS4's MGO the actual skill levels in the game were too big of a deciding factor of who won a fight.
Agree. But it turned me off that it was almost impossible for new players to get a kill. I like games where good players can destroy, while new/bad players are still able to get a few kills.
That's because of alot of smirf accounts people made, or derankers who wanna have fun with low levels by dominating them. I'd still like for a skill based MGO, as well as stealth that can actually be used in all modes of the game. Using camo in MGO was always overlooked.
I'd like MGO that wasn't just team deathmatch and shit. Make the multiplayer be interesting and original; Maybe have like 10 guys all infiltrating the same npc-occupied base, trying to sneak in as fast as they can to get some documents or something not just team deathmatch.
Maybe you can't kill your fellow players, so you set off an alert in one part of the base to fuck up your opponents and get them stuck in a gun battle, or maybe you all work together and go in a mass box rush.
Something interesting. Not just fucking team deathmatch.
What about if it was like Splinter cell were one team needs to sneak in while the other defends?

Team Sneak, but even then it was kinda lame.
I wish one team would get octocamo instead of full stealth camouflage, was extremely lame in tournaments on fucking Tomb of [del]Turds[/del] Tubes where you can't see shit anyways.

There was also Sneaking Mission where one person played as Snake and everyone else was on the other two teams. That one was quite fun, it's just too bad nobody really played it.
Konami really needs to rethink MGO's design, it needs to have that MGS flavour.
couldn't resist.. got peace walker on psn.
[editline]4th October 2012[/editline]
also they mention nano machines a lot throughout MGS. in fact there's a part or two where the nano machines inside your body cause you to not be able to fire weapons and stuff.
Yeah, we know that.

To be honest, I'd like them to focus on Co-op at least for GZ. MGO as it's own product would be fine but for a game like GZ Co-op would be where the money is not to mention it was already tested out in PW.
Honestly, I'd love to see MGO 2.0 or whatever you want to officially call it, over co-op. I want both, but I a have a preference for online. Despite the high learning curve and all the pretty-much-game-breaking flaws of MGO, I grew to love it quite a lot. It became one of my top 5 favorite online games of all time.
Between the gear updates and the DLC that added special characters (Mei Ling sucked, and Raiden was a bit tricky to use, but every other character was great) and new maps, I thought Konami kept a certain aliveness in MGO and did it quite well.
Also, I'm playing MGS2 again, and trying to do a stealth run....forgot the camera is SUCH a pain in the ass! They did it right with MGS3 by updating it so you could have the camera like in MGS4, but still use the classic one if you preferred it.
I did fine on the Tanker Chapter, and I'm on Normal, but the Plant chapter is starting to make me want to give up on stealth for this run.
One thing I can't seem to find out is whether or not it counts towards an alert status if you shoot a soldier and kill him without alerting others, but hear the alert sound before they die, but get no alert countdown.

I'm pretty sure that counts as an alert.

I loved playing as Snake during that mode, one time on the Mall level, forgot the name of it, there was a staircase leading down to the parking garage with a weird checkerboard pattern along the stairs walkway. I used Octocamo on it and blended in and layed flat, and people ran up the stairs and I got 2 stabs in right there, and someone wrote "HE WAS STAIRS ALL LONG" and I laughed pretty hard. Playing as Otacon in that mode was fun too, really wish it was played more often.

So how about them Metal Gears?
What I always found strange is how Metal Gear Zeke is the first metal gear, so why is it named Zeke?
Shouldn't it just be named metal gear?
And then they also made a metal gear just named metal gear, which makes it even more confusing.
Ofcourse, all of this is in-universe complaints, since MG1 was made way earlier than MGSPW, but couldn't they just have named MGZ something like MG Prototype or MG0.5 or something?
They'd confuse people (me!) if it was just Metal Gear.
They'd confuse people (me!) if it was just Metal Gear.
Thats why it should've been called something different.
It just doesnt make any sense to make MGZ before MG.
It's like making Metal Gear Solid first and then later making Metal Gear.

Wiki says the name Metal Gear was already coined at the time.
Hell, they could've just called it something completely different than Metal Gear.
Whoop, automerge broken, but somehow fits as a response anyways.

You mean TX-55 Metal Gear

Gray Fox just calls it Metal Gear, so thats with what I was going.

Zeke's name is from a nickname of Mitsubishi's fighter A6M from the WWII - the fighter was also known as Zero.
So effectively, Zeke's the Metal Gear Zero.
